  1. You are correct, it may help them land one of the top tier DE next year, I thought of it shortly after the post
  2. I've got a lot of catching up to do, traveling all weekend... It makes a lot of sense, reunites with Andy, joins a legit top 5 team to win the Super Bowl, is a proven guy in an unproven but talented backfield. It looks like the Chargers did reach out: from NFL.com "McCoy added that he chose reuniting with Reid over moving to Los Angeles and joining the Chargers, who are currently without holdout Melvin Gordon. "This is probably my best fit. ... L.A. is far, I've got a seven-year-old son. He wouldn't like that very much. Also, the taxes," McCoy, ever the businessman, noted." Who can blame Shady for avoiding California? He gets to escape NY and CA, good for him. He'll see more of what he earns in Missouri. And KC gets to cut themselves loose of the sticky Kareem Hunt situation and fill in with Shady at no cost. Good for them. Win, Win, Win for everyone but Buffalo.
  3. I'm still a detractor. I was out of town for the Shady cut... silly IMO. I don't see the feet and speed needed for Singletary to a #1 back, and he doesn't have the size to make up for it. I hope I am wrong TBD. The only thing gained by cutting Shady is about 6 million in cap space this year and one roster spot. If Buffalo was against the cap, I get it. If Buffalo drafted Jacobs or Montgomery I get it. I hope I'm wrong, and Devin Singletary makes me eat my words, but I've been a big fan of the RB position for 30 years, and I don't think DS has it. I do hope Shady goes to the Chargers. I think that would be an ideal fit. Give Phillips a vet RB, replace some of Gordon's play. Until then I trust the process, but I am disgruntled.
  4. I'm in the 8-10 camp. If the injury bug hits, and a few bad bounces 7-9, probable 8-9 wins, if things go 'right' 10 wins.
  5. I blame auto correct, Kyle is a hell of a guy.
  6. yup, the found the Factor V after forming multiple clots in her legs the clots are an ongoing symptom
  7. ssshhh... nevermind the video went up on youtube where everyone is not a Bills fan, and may hit a global market. Your common sense approach and basic reasoning skills will not help you here....
  8. I was against this trade, but I'm for it now. Keep waiting, drive the price down.
  9. I'm hoping Morse's treatment was nothing more than protecting an asset. It says a lot about the Bills medical staff if this was known and allowed. I cant see Pegs or McBeane doing this on purpose. Hoping for the best, but if Morse gets his bell wrung again I personally want him to hang it up. Mongo has been an enlightened signing and can hold down the C position for a year until Buffalo drafts the best center available in 2020, then he can slide to LG and the OL is improved 2x. If Morse can play Mongo (Feliciano) can slide left to LG where he is natural. Hoping for the best.
  10. I'm 50-50 with him at 3 technique as a DT. It looks like he is drawing double teams every play already. That could explain why he 'struggles to disengage blocks'. Have you noticed the other DT looks better with him in? Star, Phillips and Phillips have all showed up now. But what if he does flame out at 3 technique DT? Why could you not move him to DE in a 4-3 alignment? 4-3 DE's tend to be larger guys. At 6-1 285 with the strength of a DT and quickness of a DE seems like a good move to me. Oliver is a natural DL in the league. Who cares what position he plays? Oh, and if you do move him to DE, go get Clowney who will do the same on the other edge. Look for 3 and 1 techniques in FA and draft next year.
  11. I'll admit it, I was a Leighton Vander Esch honk. I wanted LVE more than Edmunds. When Buffalo moved back up I swore they were taking LVE. I was very hard on Edmunds his first year, he struggled many times early in his first year. But the young (20!) man learned how to call a defense that ended 2nd not only in yards allowed, but also defensive DVOA. He improved as the year went on. He began to play at NFL speed and it has carried over to preseason. I don't think LVE could call a defense yet, for Edmunds it's now becoming natural at 21. Edmunds is going to be Buffalo's Defensive anchor with Tre White for a decade. Born by fire seemed to have worked with Edmunds, McDermott knew this was his guy, his next Keuchly. I have loved what I've seen from Edmunds in the preseason. He is everywhere, and calling good defenses. I was wrong about Tremaine 'the train' Edmunds. I just want him to lay a pace setting lick from time to time.
  12. Blood clots are no joke. Debilitating in fact. I have a very close family member with Factor V Leiden (a genetic predisposition to clotting) and she has been ruled 100% disabled because of it. She has been on Coumadin for 20 years, (Haparin in emergencies) It's a stroke or Heart attack waiting to happen. My blood pressure just shot through the roof in the past year, I need to get tested for Factor V Leiden and Hypertension. Never had a blood pressure issue before, but this is how it happens, it is a silent killer. I wish him well, and hope he learns to manage it.
  13. if Ed Oliver strikes out at 3 technique DT, they should move him to DE. He could be a nightmare 4-3 DE, get Clowney to be the DE opposite Ed, and draft a meatball for 3 technique next draft. Look for a NT, 4-3 1 Technique in FA and the D line is dominant in front of Milano and Edmunds.
  14. Kiko could end up with the NY Jets who just lost Avery Johnson for the year. The thought of Kiko and Gregg Williams together is unsettling.....
  15. Extending the contract for Mr. Peanut? Good luck. I hear he is SALTY!
  16. want to see him vs 1s and 2s. He is clearly better than 3s and 4s.
  17. Thanks! I knew someone would get it. Appreciate the +1
  18. No, not a first. A third and a conditional, all day. Then trade Shady, Gore, Mr. Peanut and then the last guy who jumped through a table for picks.
  19. Some historical gems The Simpsons The Doubting Thomases Kelly's Heroes The Need for Reed The Reich Stuff (applicable to Indy fans now) I Need Mohr Un-Kemp-t Word The Big Byrd
  20. Dad jokes abound: Tre White Stuff Beasley The Best Hughes Got Nothin On Me John Brown's Rebellion I'm In Foster Care The Drop Kick Murphey's The Has Beanes The Milano Mosh Oliver Fears Come True Oliver Base Belong To Us Honorable Mentions I've seen here and elsewhere Just Joshin You It's Always Shady In Buffalo and from above Dr. Poyer and Mr. Hyde So close but missed the mark: 'Giving Jim The Business'
  21. I will admit the 'break up from San Fran' was mutual based on interviews with John Lynch. They would have cut Kap if he did not void his contract, but Kap argued for the 'void' provision the year before. I find it interesting that this all happened in SF, one of the most left leaning cities in America. He worked his way off of the 49ers in San Francisco. He then spat in the eye of John Elway, an NFL legend who was reaching out to him to give him a life line. What happened when Denver offered him a contract after it all??? Kap rejected it, but Elway and the NFL is racist now? Between injury and 'social justice' he was persona non grata in San Francisco, a leftist haven. Did he expect Memphis, Indy, Buffalo or Kansas City to pick him up? he then spat in the face of an NFL legend in a politically 50-50 city (Denver) make stupid decisions and win stupid rewards Exhibit A - Colin Kaepernick
  22. I saw this after my posts. A bad hit for SD. I wish him well, he is a top young SS. At best he returns in Nov. Meanwhile SD has other questions with LT, RB, and Kennan Allen... rough off season for the Chargers
  23. Lacey looked great. He took advantage of Thompson not being in. I think the last LB spot is between Mo Alexander and Johnson. I'd expect Mo to get the nod with Johnson trying to be snuck onto the PS.
  24. Johnson has torn up 3rd and 4th string OL. I'd like to see him versus 1st and 2nd string OL. We know what we have in Lawson and Yarborough. Love is also showing well. Hughes, Murphey and Lawson are top 3. Crowded for 1 spot between Yarborough, Love, Johnson.
  25. I don't think the 'next steps' is about having James play this year. I think the decision is to have surgery or not which of course will be made in the next week or so.
