RocCityRoller replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
tie breakers New England Beat Cleveland and Philadelphia Buffalo lost to them if New England and Buffalo both end up 12-4 same record then head to head would be 1-1 then both would be 5-1 against the AFC East then it's common opponents -
Lose to New England next week and get a bye week.

I was wondering the same thing -
Trolls are gonna troll Beat the #6 team, a playoff team, in their house, in a prime time game to lock a playoff spot. The Bills had not beaten Pittsburgh, in Pitt during the regular season since 1975. The Marv Levy Bills could not get it done, but the Allen and McBeane version did. To put that in perspective I was born in 1975...

Week 15: Around the League
RocCityRoller replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Correct. Announcer said Sharp, thought he said Chark. Still, Brown and Davis are a good young pairing, and Jonnu Smith looks like a potential break out player at TE TN will be tough for years. Tannehill went to a good situation. -

TN, Cleveland, Oakland and Indy need to loose one more game each If Bills loose out they are 9-7. One more loss by TN is 9-7 at best and we have the tie breaker via head to head. Cle, Oak and Indy are all 6-7, one more loss each make the best they could finish 8-8. -

Because a lot of us have been fans for 20, 30, 40, 50 years and we have seen similar situation like this blow up. Cleveland sneaking in at 9-7 would be all to Billsy. -

TN has Corey Davis, AJ Brown and DJ Chark? A bunch of WRS I loved in the past couple of drafts. Also has a good OL, and Henry. How on earth did Marriota fail? -

Ryan Bates, or McDermott could have been kept, or even Mills as a backup. Ford is a JAG at best at RT. All of the names above are too. No big loss. -

I'm not sure Cody Ford us a strong argument for not getting Brown. I was not in on the DK Metcalf train, I saw Stephon Hill all over again. But he hasaid had a very good rookie season. Would rather have either than Cody Ford.... -

Pulling for Houston sweep of Titans. That would mean Houston wins division, and Titans at best are 9-7. At worst Buffalo is 9-7 and is in over Tennessee vIA head to head. Need Cleveland to lose one more, or Bills to win one more to feel more snug about things. -

AJ Brown was my favorite WR in that draft -
Why wasn't Duke Williams active?
RocCityRoller replied to HailMary's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McKenzie's play in the TN game won the game. Short memories on TBD Duke Williams adds some value, D Williams does not win or lose games. Buffalo needs to learn how to make an effective offense against a blitz/ aggressive defense. Screens/ Draws etc kill those type of defenses. Where was the shovel pass to McKenzie against Baltimore? Where was the draw play? Philadelphia used screens and draws to take the aggressive nature of the Bills Def. It's not rocket science. -
Terrell Suggs released
RocCityRoller replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is the type of rental Buffalo can afford to get, and who could help. 3rd down, put him in. 1st and 2nd down is Lawson. Trent as very good depth. -
The investment in youth on the Def front 7 paid dividends for Baltimore. I hope Baltimore gained a level of respect for the Bills Defense. The Ravens OLB/DE contained Josh Allen and made him one dimensional. The Buffalo OL is a work in progress and Baltimore did an excellent job hemming him in. Pitt will try to do similar. Bud Dupree and TJ Watt are both excellent players, and the Pitt D lives off their energy and Minka Fitzpatrick on the back end. Buffalo MUST use this aggressiveness against that defense. They have to execute a screen, a few draw plays and some quick flips to McKenzie or similar. Unfortunately the Bills OL is not suited to the screen game, but option 2 and 3 (Draws and flips/shovels) are. Buffalo needs to slow down the Pitt front 7 by doing these things, and take the pace of the game. The Bills Defense will show up.

Look how nice we play with others. Especially a solid Baltimore fan. We both want and need the Steelers and Patriots to lose. Until the AFC Championship game my fair feathered friends... PS- make sure to knock Pitt out in the last week.

Welcome, and we agree on trying to take care of business against New England and Pittsburgh. For your part Baltimore can not sit their starters in the last week vs Pitt.

Credit the Baltimore Defense. They made the OL look bad. It's a decent OL. They took away JA running lanes, and found ways to pressure him. Sometimes your opponent is good. Buffalo defense held Lamar Jackson to less than 200 yards rushing and passing. It happens.I can guarantee that Baltimore wants no part of Buffalo in the AFC playoffs.
