  1. It was a labor of love. I plan on doing more. I think we don't realize how many UDFA are really good players in the league. I have found QB/ C/ DE/ TE/ LT/ RG are the hardest positions to fill in UDFA CB/ LG/ RT/ WR have great potential
  2. Unfortunately listening to Beane's Press conference they do. Cody Ford is a bust. Move on and for God's sake protect the franchise QB.
  3. Slow the roll. Sanders failed to record a TD in his last 9 regular season games in Buffalo. His last regular season TD was on October 10th. How does that happen with JA as your QB? He had 3 weeks recording 0 catches for 0 yards last year. He had 1 TD in the post season on 1/15/21 Gabe Davis won the spot. Davis set the all time NFL record in a playoff game for yards and TDs He helped win the Indy playoff game the year before. Gabe Davis is the replacement Buffalo added Crowder to replace Beasley and kept McKenzie for the slot. Buffalo drafted Kalil Shakir in the 5th. He is 6'0" 196 4.43 40, 4.21 20 yd shuttle He is the outside WR depth He will be given every chance to unseat Kumerow and Hodgins.
  4. So the draft is in the books. I wish all the new drafted Bills well, whether I, or we liked the picks or not. Why is UDFA Important? Well you can find some amazing players there. In the week leading up to the draft I tried to put together an all UDFA team from 2010 to 2015. I figured the guys in that range were close enough to be known by most fans, but be near the end of their careers. Some UDFA from 2010-2015 that made a difference: OL: LT - Alejandro Villenueva C - David Andrews OG - Andrew Norwell OG - Austin Howard OT - La'el Collins OG - Quinton Spain OG - Ronald Leary OT - Mike Remmers C/G - Trey Hopkins RB: RB - LeGarrette Blount RB - Chris Ivory RB - CJ Anderson RB - Isaiah Crowell RB - Brandon Bolden TE: TE - Jack Doyle TE - Cameron Brate TE - Trey Burton TE - Jeff Cumberland WR: WR - Adam Thielen WR - Victor Cruz WR - Doug Baldwin WR - Cole Beasley WR - Allen Hurns WR - Tyrell Williams WR - Taylor Gabriel WR - Adam Humphreys WR - Willie Snead WR - Albert Wilson DL: DT - Big Snacks Harrison DT - Denico Autry DE - Mario Addison DT - Abry Jones LB: LB - Vontaze Burfict LB - Shaquil Barrett LB - Nick Bellore LB - Paul Warrilow LB - Junior Gallette DB: CB - Chris Harris Jr (potential HOF) CB - Sam Shields CB - AJ Bouye CB - Malcolm Butler CB - Quentin Dunbar CB - Nickell Robey-Coleman S - Darian Stewart S - Tashaun Gipson S - Michael Thomas S - Barry Church S - Adrian Phillips S - Brynden Trawic ST: K - Justin Tucker K - Jason Myers K - Dan Bailey K - Chris Boswell P - Johnny Hekker LS - too many Pro Bowl LS to note QB: QB - Case Keenum QB - Taylor Heinicke QB - Kellen Moore What UDFA do you want to join Buffalo?
  5. Really surprised they did not get an IOL. 1 really late OT pick. Quessenberry can run block at RT. Ford had a vote of confidence by Beane last night. Foolish IMO Mancz has been a good UDFA story as a backup C but is hanging on Boettger is coming off of an Achilles and will probably not be able to play this year
  6. I'm happy at least one other person realizes Brown was a nice story last year, but is no stud. He had a solid rookie season for a mid level pick, but got chewed up at times and JA bailed him out. As for Ford: He is still in the mix on OL They think he has the skills to be in the NFL They want to see what Kromer can do with him they had conversations with him this off season and he has a blank slate to start over
  7. Yeah I worded that poorly. PS Spencer Brown is not a long term starting RT. He exceeded expectations last year, but is not a starting RT for a Super Bowl winner IMO.
  8. Listened to Beane's press conference last night. They do still believe in Cody Ford. Too much, they won't let go of that guy and it feels like they won't draft another high profile OL with him still in the mix. Cody Ford is a bust with cement in his shoes. We haven't drafted an OT since Ford or an OG worth a darn since Teller either. Eventually it will cost this team. JA has 1-2 more years with this ability to mask bad OL play. Investments need to be made. That said I think they are at their limit with Edmunds based on that same presser. Beane mentioned having LBs with instincts and quick reaction many many times. That is not Edmunds. Bernard is the anti Edmunds. Beane compared Bernard to Thomas Davis and Matt Milano and said Bernard could play in the Middle if needed! I think Ford and Edmunds are on notice now, but their faith in Ford is foolish.
  9. why do we hate drafting guards since Teller? Other than CB, I thought OG was a need. Guess not. Good luck Luke Tenuta.
  10. Not surprised they picked another DB. Am surprised they passed on a bunch of S and other CBs. If this team can do anything well, it is to get the most out of a DB. Welcome to Buffalo Christian Benford
  11. I had to come in just for this pick LOL. Instant fan favorite. Bye Bye Haack. You are kidding right?
  12. Ecellent pick here. Day two seemed a bit iffy. Day three looking nice. Welcome to Buffalo Khalil Shakir! Nice pick up here.
  13. He's Ekeler or Metcalf to me. That is a useable chess piece on offense with a QB like JA.
  14. Get him on the Singletary Swole Offseason workout program. Every site had Cook's weight different. I saw as low as 190 and as high as 199. 1 or 2 seasons in an NFL training/ eating program and I think he can settle in around 200 without losing much speed. I think Singletary added darned near 10 pounds last off season and didn't look slower. Cook has 4.42 speed. He is fast. He has great hands. Ekeler is about 1 inch shorter and 5-10 pounds heavier. If Cook is in it is probably a pass, but can run to mix things up. For the older heads I see Eric Metcalf. Metcalf was 5'10 188 4.46 40 Metcalf was a RB/WR hybrid who was an x factor for every team he played on.
  15. I see Austin Ekeler. Ekeler is 5'10 200 4.48 40 James Cook 5'11 190-199 4.42 40 Both have excellent hands, and can run some if needed
  16. Welcome to Buffalo Terrell Bernard - I hope you have a recipe for Crow. Can see him in a Milano/ Neal role. Also if he can replace Matakevitch on ST that clears up 2.5 Million He does play fast and has a sh!t ton of instinct. Put his football processor in Edmunds and you have a beast
  17. Or Basham with Humphrey going a pick or two later
  18. Was underwhelmed. He is SAF size. Maybe he is Milano's backup and takes snaps from Siran Neal? Kind of a Hybrid Big Nickel/ SAF/ Coverage LB role. We do run a base Nickel, and he is noted as a Nickel LB. Could be a hunter/ rover in the middle of the defense. Cover TEs? Will want to see what role he is in during the preseason. Have to think better value was there at S/ OL/ CB and a few other LBs. But he does fit the Bills Defensive scheme.
  19. He is a small Nickel LB with good instincts and an injury history
  20. Raiders with the name I was hoping to get called....
  21. oof - that seems to be a bad pick Nickel LB
  22. Type of move I expected with the 4 x 6ths BUF has now
