  1. Nothing shocking here TBH. Edmunds got the bag in Chicago. I think he will do well with Eberfluss in a traditional 4-3 and he got the bag. Good for him. I say that as someone who was never an Edmunds fan. I really wish 'Maine' well. Solid guy, over-drafted, average player in this scheme. Poyer is older and banged up. Great player for the Bills, one of my favorites, but the market is not there, just like Beasley. Rachel may have wanted to stay quiet. DC is probably Al Holcumb: Senior Defensive Assistant. He was DC in Carolina. He was brought in a week before the Frazier announcement. If not, Eric Washington (internal), makes sense.
  2. Gilmore will be 33 in September. Had a solid season last year after 2-4 meh years. Lil Dirty is living in the past like a few folks here... It's not 2018 anymore.
  3. I like Lil Dirty in general, but he knows he is on the chopping block. Isn't his appearance on Tuesday? Feel free to let me know if I am wrong.
  4. Standing pat could help. Plenty of good WRs being 'made available' as we speak.
  5. So take snaps away from Breece Hall and Carter? I am all for it...
  6. Will gladly take Davis and Moore off of the Jests hands if they sign OBJ and Lazzard....
  7. Would rather have Davis/ JuJu/ Renfrow/ Thielen than broken up old expensive D Hop or OBJ.
  8. Oh I agree. I made the same point and made a whole post about how McCaffrey's numbers were easily manageable and gave trade potential. Not much of a response. Willing to sit back and see how Renfrow/ Corey Davis etc works out. Thielen would be my plan B, but he is ageing quickly.
  9. Oh I agree. You did a better job pointing out why Ekeler is a bit overrated by some folks here than I did. Yes I do want a few more easy completion passes to RBs though. Same for short passes to the slot. Buffalo has that in Cook and Hines and need to use it. Mostly was responding to the 'go get Ekeler' crowd. I think slot WR is the biggest need outside of OL.
  10. Some good Jet WR will be available.... Corey Davis would feast in this offense, and could play outside. Elijah Moore could be an excellent slot. Wait and let this play out. No need for over the hill big name, big contract WR additions right now. Buffalo is playing this right. Clear cap space, signed a starting OG, have moves still available. Pounce when the right guy becomes available. Wilson/ Davis/ Moore/Berrios was a very good young WR core. (Mims stinks) Rodgers' ego is blowing that up.
  11. I agree. So blowing cap room on all the over the hill/ injured WRs in this thread makes no sense. How nice would it have been if Buffalo had some cap space when McCaffrey became available? How nice would it have been if Buffalo had cap space when AJ Brown or Davante Adams became available around the draft? How about cleaning up space and making a move for Renfrow, or Thielen? I'd rather have JuJu SS than Hopkins or OBJ at this point in their careers.
  12. The slot was far more disappointing than Gabe Davis. So was the OL. So was Knox for a stretch of the season IMO. Cook and Hines were underutilized. The Charger offense goes through Ekeler. Buffalo brought in an improvement at OG. There are mid-level guys who could help improve the slot over Crowder and Mckenzie. Outside WR is not strong this year.
  13. This is a weak WR FA crop. You don't overspend on a weak crop to 'get a guy'.
  14. Correct. I thought Richie James was still under contract, but he is a UFA. Good call. Sign James or Berrios for insurance at the slot. Cut McKenzie for cap room. Cook and Hines should take the gadget role. Trade Ed Oliver. Get a pick and $10m in cap relief, rather than let him walk next year for nothing. Extend D Jones. Now you have a slot plan. Settle becomes the starting 3T Add a 2-4th for Ed. Pick another 300+ space eater DT in the draft. if this team insists on playing nickel, better to have two monster space eaters at DT. Have some cap room to work with this year or next. If that space helps bring in Jamal Williams good. If that cap space extends D Jones/ T Johnson good.
  15. The Bills have 6-8 million to work with, after the restructures. I have not advocated spending another dime on defense. I've even come around on dealing Ed Oliver for picks and cap space. It's a Roquan Smith type move that Chicago executed brilliantly. Do you want an over the hill Hopkins, or flaky injury prone OBJ to suck up any remaining cap space? No other teams are beating down the doors for their services. Maybe we can pick up did nothing Jerry Jeudy, but hey we was a high draft pick Let's blow our load on Henry. Maybe we can add a third light pass receiving RB in Ekeler with Cook and Hines. This is a re-tool year. The cap is not unlimited. Buffalo made some roster building mistakes in the 5 year window. This is the reality of the situation. A guy like Berrios could help today and leave room without having to depend on a rookie.
  16. I don't understand the obsession with some TSW posters and Hopkins. Hopkins was a top WR. He is now 30 turning 31 this summer He has not played an entire season since 2020. has not topped 720 yards since 2020. Houston may have dealt Hopkins at the right time, but should have gotten more for him at the time. This team needs to get younger and cheaper, not older and more expensive. Extend D Jones, yes. Extend Taron, yes. Deal Ed, I've even come around to yes. For Hopkins or OBJ? No.
  17. The best WRs in this draft are slot type guys. Also Berrios is a FA still. Wouldn't mind seeing him in the slot.
  18. Don't know. Spotrac and OTC are both updating as much as possible. Probably explains the variance of $2m in total cap space. Either way, as it stands right now, Buffalo is under the cap but hardly flush.
  19. Isn't Berrios available? Also the best WRs in the draft are smaller slot guys.
  20. Buffalo is @$10 million under with the top 51 only 6-8million under with all contracts per Spotrac and OverTheCap. Got to keep rookie class money and roster filler room too. Already added a void year hit (660k) to keep Matakevich.... 🤮
  21. Agreed. Williams would compliment what the Bills have in Cook and Hines. I don;t want either of those guys carrying on 4th and 1 or 3rd and goal. Mohamed Ibrahim - Minnesota would be a productive get in the 6th or 7th IMO.
  22. I like Campbell too, but not in the first round. Would be another round 1 LB reach. I think Dorian Williams (LB Tulane) would be an excellent mid round LB selection. He is a natural zone LB. Basically a copy of Matt Milano. he has some development to do, but he is a mid round prospect for a reason.
  23. RT market went a bit absurd. I think the kid from Syracuse (Matt Bergeron) would be an upgrade and can be had rounds 2-3.
