NFL Week #14 - Jets at Bills - Post game thread
RocCityRoller replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Championship teams win ugly games. This was ugly. Good to see the Bills win some defensive slobberknockers. Rousseau/ Milano/ Epenessa/ Hamlin/ Oliver all made plays. Good to see some high draft picks paying dividends. 10-3, still in control of the AFC. I'll take it.- 658 replies

Not that one, but in line with the thread the most cold and miserable I have been to was a home game against the Jets. December 6, 1992. Buffalo 9-3, NY Jets 3-9. Temp was sub 25 degrees (F), 20-30 mph regular wind gusts, 10 F or so degrees wind chill It had snowed a few days before and it hadn't been completely cleared. so all the foot areas were slush. Feet in meting slush, winds whipping around sub frozen air. NY Jet Bennis Byrd had been paralyzed the week before vs KC. The Jets came in and played inspired forcing numerous turnovers and had the shocking 24-17 win on a Jim Kelly pick 6 at the end of the game. Awful experience all around. -
Von Miller ACL- Out for Season
RocCityRoller replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not dumb. There are different degrees of suck! Maybe a real doctor can chime in but things like: Full tear vs partial tear. If partial how much (Grade 1,2,3) Did the tear include some of the bone the ligament connect to? etc EDIT Grade 1 Grade 1 injuries include ACLs that have suffered mild damage, e.g., the ACL is mildly stretched but still provides adequate stability to the knee joint. Grade 2 Grade 2 ACL injuries are rare and describe an ACL that is stretched and partially torn. Grade 3 Grade 3 ACL tears happen when the ACL is torn completely in half and is no longer providing any stability to the knee joint. Verified my understanding and quoted Johns Hopkins above https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/acl-injury-or-tear Site below shows a Grade 3 Tear to the same ACL he had a grade 3 tear in 2013..... oof https://www.draftsharks.com/fantasy/injury-history/von-miller/4782 -
Von Miller ACL- Out for Season

should have signed Hassan Reddick instead. The one Panther we didn't actually get. -
ah yes the old Mike McCarthy career path If I recall correctly, the hope was Rodgers would follow him to GB. The whole thing has set back GB and Denver

You are aware the 49ers drafted a QB with the third pick in the first round in 2021. His name is Trey Lance, and that guy ended up on injured reserve. Jimmy G was the backup plan.

Have to disagree with you. The Jets have a lot of emerging play makers all over the offense, New England has Stevenson and Meyers who are a little better than replacement level. Wilson/ Davis and Moore are a very good trio of WR and they have some solid depth there. Wilson is emerging as a real play maker. Davis is enough of a good vet to make teams pay for rolling coverage to Wilson. Moore is underutilized. Hall is a star in the making. He is injured but Carter and Knight are fast and slippery. Uzomah and Conklin are solid TEs. If the Jets just get competent QB play they will be very dangerous. New England could have Aaron Rodgers and still struggle offensively. -
What is Zach Ertz up to???

Lamar Jackson leaves denver game with knee injury
RocCityRoller replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, could work either way. If Huntley plays well and Baltimore keeps winning, hurts Jackson If Baltimore struggles Jackson's negotiating strength improves Just heard that Jackson has a sprained knee and is doubtful next week. -
Reports this morning said it as 'mutual' implying Baker asked for release and the Panthers granted it. He probably asked for release for a chance to latch onto SF

I love the old AFCE slobber knockers from the late 70's-80's -
Yep The Browns and Lions just steamrolled teams. Those were 'poor wins' by the Bills just a few days ago. There are no easy wins in this league.

Bills open as 9.5 favorites against Jets(10.5 some places)
RocCityRoller replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree. A lot of this board still underestimates the team being put together down there. Lots of playmakers and a nasty defense. Young guys improving and getting some swagger. Not the same old Jets. That Viking game was almost a 100% mirror image of the game the Vikings and Bills played.
