Ed Olivier's base salary became guaranteed when the 5th year contract was picked up. The base salary is always picked up by the team trading for the player. Always. So the team trading for Oliver is on the hook for the whole salary. Whether he plays 17 games or not, or if it is restructured. The team trading for the player is responsible for the base salary, guaranteed or not. It's a way to guarantee the base salary like a signing bonus.

I'm more on the Jeudy trade than I was in the past. Would much rather have Jeudy than Hopkins or OBJ. Nothing more than #27, and would offer less. WR at #27 won't be better. Hoping Beane trades back at the moment.

At this point it is a game of chicken. A lot of teams could benefit from signing him. He is the size of a C, but could play G. He is still a tweener.

There were 16 WR in the entire NFL with 800+ yards receiving and 7+ TDs receiving. Buffalo had 2 of them. As many teams did not have Gabe Davis' production as a WR #1 as the Bills had from WR #2. Miami had 2 (Hill/ Waddle), PHI had 2 (Brown/Smith), CIN had 2 (Chase/ Higgins) and Buffalo had 2 (Diggs/Davis) That is not by accident. With duplicates included, only 12 teams had a WR1 more productive than Gabe Davis. Like it or not. Kirk got signed for big money (people laughed), and Moore was a trade steal for Chicago.
