  1. this is the core of bad OL thinking

Cordy Glenn didn't play most of the season, meaning Dawkins started at LT most of the time.  If there was any concern about Dawkins, either Glenn would not have been traded or they would have drafted/traded/FA pickup for a LT.

Russell Bodine meets or excedes this measure

  2. I agree, and I want to stand by my words.

I love my Buffalo Bills. I love WNY and Buffalo, even though I don't live there.

Stop being such dicks to people who want to help you.

I love you guys. You dumb lugs.

    Pancho Billa needs our help.

    I want to help him.

Maybe a $500 contribution directly to his fund is better.

I wanted to create 2500 to help him. Dumb me.

    Jay, not in Buffalo,NY

I had a dream last night that the Bills put up 104 points in one game with Josh Allen. I don't know who they were playing. I just remember thinking "that's probably a new record."

Of all the Bills-themed dreams I've had, that was the first overly optimistic one.

The 1940 Chicago Bears won an NFL championship game 73-0. I guess anything is possible. Knowing our luck the Bills will win a Super Bowl 104-3 and never win one again.

I agree we're ranked too high, but:

    1. Next year our cap space will allow us to sign considerable talent, so our ranking should be higher.

    2. If Allen turns out better than many have predicted, that ranking also goes up considerably.

You are 100% correct in my book. This year could be 6-10 or 10-6. Who knows? I think Vegas is very confused by the Bills like we all are.

Edmunds, Allen and Phillips could all be studs or duds. All are positions of need, which makes things interesting.

It's not all doom and gloom, and next year's F/A and draft should cement the Bills as a long time playoff team if even one of the three above pan out. The OL turnover was a shock to all, but I think the Bills added a bunch of JAG NFL level talent, which given the salary cap and weak class was a strong reaction. It also meant the OL will have to be addressed sooner than later, which actually helps AJ and Allen in the long term.

I think a lot of us Bill fans are ok either way. We see change happening and in a well planned way overall.

Last year was the beginning of a major tear down and rebuild. The Bills have refused a tear down and rebuild since 1985, it was long past due.

The fact that a rookie HC, and a GM added after last years draft managed to tear down a team, built a new locker room atmosphere and broke a 17 yr playoff drought in one year means something.

We have a very special HC IMO. I think this may be the best HC and GM combo Buffalo has ever had.

  6. IMO Neal could be the steal of the draft.

It depends on McDermott scheming him in properly.

    The Capitol Police.

Simply declaring the Capitol, as well as all of the Senate and House office buildings as "gun free zones" is sufficient protection. Maybe put up some signs for good measure.

I agree as long as we make lots of 'safe spaces' with soft blankets, coloring books, sympathy dogs and megaphones to help yell at the sky. /s

Right down I-90 in Ontario County.

Yep, only 35 or so minutes south. Was arrested before the body was even found.... I guess a life of crime is harder than GTA would make one believe.

    From Syracuse.com

    https://www.syracuse.com/sports/index.ssf/2018/06/ny_giants_janoris_jenkins_brother_arrested.html

The brother of Janoris Jenkins has been arrested in Upstate New York and named a "person of interest" in the case of a dead body found at the New York Giants star's home, according to reports.

Law enforcement officials tell TMZ Sports that William Jenkins, 34, was booked at the Ontario County Jail in Canandaigua early Tuesday morning, roughly nine hours before a family friend was found dead in Janoris Jenkins' home in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Ontario County D.A. James Ritts told the sports site that William is a "person of interest" in the N.J. case. "Bergen County wants to talk to him," Ritts said.

According to the New York Post, William Jenkins was arrested for an unrelated parole warrant issue. He is not a suspect in the N.J. death of Roosevelt Rene, a 25-year-old music producer who died in "highly suspicious circumstances" at Jenkins' N.J. home.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday that Rene had been living at Jenkins' home recently. Jenkins is believed to have been at his offseason home in Florida when he died; Jenkins had wrapped the NFL team's minicamp earlier this month.

TMZ Sports reports William Jenkins is still in custody and will be extradited 300 miles from Ontario County to Bergen County in N.J.

Details of Rene's death have not been disclosed, but the case is being treated as a homicide. A post-mortem exam is scheduled at the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

"We are aware of and monitoring the situation," a spokesperson from the Giants said.

Jenkins, is a 29-year-old cornerback who spent the last two seasons with the New York Giants; he was selected for the Pro Bowl in 2016. He previously played by the Los Angeles Rams after being selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of the University of North Alabama.

"We're just all very upset. We don't know anything right now," a neighbor told The Record in Hackensack, N.J. "He's a good guy. He's a perfect neighbor and you couldn't ask for anyone better... It was exciting having him here. We're respectful of his privacy."

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said in a statement that the Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Fair Lawn Police Department are investigating.

...probably my useless baseless yip (Centrum Silver does NOT work). but I like Daboll taking charge relative to OL schemes..to paraphrase, thought he said it would be "scheme specific" to the opposition's defense (tweaks versus radical changes IMO).....perhaps wrong, but Castillo gives me the impression of "one size fits all"....would love to see Cadet/Murphy being the next "Kenneth Davis clone(s)" to allow Daboll greater flexibility with Shady more like versatile Thurmal..............

can they afford to wait that long?

Afford? No, reasonable expectation, probably. Given all the changed I'd think even adding a stud to OL, that the unit would need a while to meld.

    Time will tell.

This is another reason why I see AJM starting the first half of the season.

His size really looks to be the main thing that is holding him back. He really gravitates to the ball and was overall very impressive during his time on the field last year. I question how well he will  hold up, but I don't question his heart, work ethic and skill set.

Isn't he a converted Safety? His successes last year may have made Buffalo give Siran Neal a similar opportunity in the same scheme.

I do recommend considering the source of the article. Very Buffalo biased (in a good way), I take this and Buffalo Rumblings etc with a grain of salt.

But yes Milano was a pleasant surprise.

Still believe the Bills are trying to fix the D methodially level by level. DBs year one, DL year 2, LBs year 3. Backfill losses and improve through complimentary players yrs 4+. That said the LB group has a lot to prove.

...cannot argue with any points Roc.....but at least there's a shred of optimism especially if the OL shows up bigger than expected.....

Ditto to you. Always enjoy your posts. I do think the scheme adjustment, new faces on OL etc will take 6-8 games to gel, but I think once that happens the OL will be better than anticipated given the turnover, and Shady and Ivory will be productive. Not counting out Cadet and Murphy as contributors though.
