Why do you guys think it will be s slaughterfest?

The offense is a big question mark for us.

We don't have a starting QB yet, and you have, um what's his name, oh yeah that Rogers guy. I think we will know Buffalo's QB situation for the future by the end of the season, but asking a career backup, or a rookie to go to Lambeau in September and win is a bit much.

The Shady saga is also a potential issue from an NFL perspective (real life more important IMO). Clay and Benjamin are solid but always seem injury prone.

I do think the Bills D will be up for this game and keep it closer than it should be. I see a 24-13 or 27-17 type game.

Pack D is not great, but they score enough with Rogers to win. Oh yeah, you are at home too.

Good luck this year Ice Bowl. You have been a terrific ambassador for the Pack.

I see a Green Bay and LA Rams NFC Championship game as a real possibility.

Shady won’t be playing for the Bills again.

How did you get to this point of view?

    Was he convicted of anything?

    Nope

Has McCoy been charged with anything?

    Nope

    Has the NFL ruled anything?

    Nope

Have the Buffalo Bills taken any action?

    Nope

Your 'hot take' lacks any merit.

    But hey Twitter....

So we are now holding individual employees accountable for their organization's and/or boss's activities?

Isn't he a victim of 'big business'?

Oh, believe me, you're underestimating the idiocy: I've been told it's actually racist to not engage this kind of idiocy.

Tom, have you thought of getting out of DC for a while?

It might do you some good.

I love your posts and comments, but we all need a break.

From the Wikipedia entry on Travis Henry:

Better than 10 children by 11 women!

It would be much more impressive ifhe fathered at least 10 children with 11 women.

Damn it you beat me to it

  6. I will trust due process and not claim anyone guilty until proven otherwise. Maybe I missed a conviction or some sort of actual proof.

Who else remembers the Reuben Foster  incident? A lot of people here liked piling on then too, and what was the result?

People being tried and convicted in the court of public opinion and by the media is terrible. It's a technical kangaroo court.

I do not like the weaponization of social media.

Happy Birthday Lesean. I hope these charges are not true.

  7. If the middle of the 'D' looks better next year, he is worth it.

Is he similar to Dareus? Does he accept the program?

MD was due a contract, Star L is a bargain compared to MD.

I think he stabilizes the center of the field and Edmunds cleans up.

    Worth every penny.

  8. I put him 10-15, but I am biased. #16 seems about right. He never was a threat to 'take it to the house' on any run, but he was a guaranteed 3-5 a carry, could catch like a WR and was a solid blocker.

He was a better version of Roger Craig. He was more limited than Marcus Allen, before him. He was proto E James and M Faulk before those guys.

  9. IMO this much conversation means Marquise Goodwin is a good football player.

He just so happens to also be a world class athlete. The pick by Whaley was a good risk to take. He didn't pan out here for various reasons.

After the last Olympics it seems MG refocused on football and found a QB/Coach and system that worked for him.

I am happy for him and his family. MG is one of the good guys, and wore his first NFL helmet as a Buffalo Bill.

I hope he continues his success.

  10. I made an @ss of myself the other day here on TBD.

I'm not sure what head-space I was in, or what set me off, but it was embarrassing and humiliating. I became the very person that we all do not like on Social Media.

I want to apologize for that and to let you all know, I am aware of how terrible my behavior was. I needed to take a few days break from Social Media, and will probably take more time away.

No one needs that kind of interaction, and I need to refocus on what drove me to that behavior.

I had a few very strange weeks prior, and felt like I was trying to do a nice thing after those ****ty weeks. A call out, but effectively harmless post sent me into a rage. It felt like someone was throwing salt in my face when all I wanted to do was something nice, and all I saw was red. My response was juvenile, petty and ugly.

I apologize to you TBD. You have a nice community here. I'm sorry for being such a jerk the other day. I admit it. I hope you all can forgive me.

  11. Time flies fans. This is Austin on his dad's shoulders after Super Bowl XXXIV, he is now in camp as the Bills last pick at WR.

His dad Ricky Proehl should have had some of the most memorable catches in NFL history. Ricky was a lot like Danny Woodhead or Danny Amendola, a third or fourth WR that had huge catches at key times.

    r393004_576x324_16-9.jpg&w=570

As a member of the Rams in the 1999 NFC Championship Game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ricky Proehl recorded six receptions for 100 yards and caught the game-winning touchdown pass with 4:44 to play. The Rams won 11-6 and went on to win the Super Bowl.

Two years later, in Super Bowl XXXVI against the New England Patriots, with the Rams trailing 17-10, Ricky Proehl caught a touchdown pass with 1:30 to play to tie the game, but the Patriots won on a last-second field goal by Adam Vinatieri, 20-17.

Two years after that, in Super Bowl XXXVIII against New England, this time as a member of the Panthers, Proehl caught a touchdown pass with 1:08 remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the game. However, the Patriots won the game on another last-second field goal by Vinatieri, 32-29.

I hope Austin has the same killer anti-Patriot instinct, and has that timely TD/ First down knack his dad had. I used to call his dad a 'witch'. A no-name player, who always came up big at critical times. Anyone who watched the NFL as an entirety in the late 90's and early 2000's knows who Ricky Proehl is.

I wish his son Austin well. He can carve out a nice career here if he has his father's gifts. I'm happy the Bills took a chance on him.
