Sammy Watwins to KC on a 3 Year Deal
Bag of Milk replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not a Sammy Watkins hater( though, yes I did hate the trade up to get him) With a young offensive mastermind as head coach(McVay) Watkins had every opportunity to show he was an elite wide receiver last year with the Rams. He still left me wanting. The Chiefs situation certainly appears perfect for him. Mahomes was my favorite player in the draft last year, it will be interesting to see if he gels with Sammy. If he does, many Bills fans will die a bit inside. -
There is ther difference between being an elite, top, blue chip player in real life from being mocked in the top 4 by random mock drafters. I haven't seen anyone who watches film touting Mayfield as one of their top 4 most talented players in the draft.

Sammy Watwins to KC on a 3 Year Deal

I'd lean toward the never will part. When is the last time it took a " generational" talent at WR take 5 years to fully show it? 39 catches for 593 yards on an offense that was top 10 in the NFL last year? 30 million guarenteed? -
Josh Rosen has "Bust" written ALL over him.
Bag of Milk replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry , you are completely wrong on this. Rosen is the best short and intermediate thrower in this class. Add to this his ability to process information quickly and read the entire field. Thus, my friends you have the qualities in a QB we have been lacking in Buffalo for quite awhile. -
In no world is Baker Mayfield a blue chip top 4 pick in the NFL draft.

Canadian...not in an ieatcrayonz kind of way!

What if the trade up to #12 is just a ruse?
Bag of Milk replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I appreciate your enthusiasm! Though, I have been here to witness the meltdowns! -
It's amazing how the pieces of an NFL team fall into place once you have a franchise QB.

Tipster, you never fail to disappoint during free agency and the draft. That hamster is working overtime on the wheel. Relax, Beane is making every effort to draft the best possible franchise QB. Watch his efforts, and be thankful a Bills GM is finally putting the work in to make it happen. -
Brilliant and probably much needed move top get a QB. As much as its nice dangling 2 number1's to teams to move up, many teams just would have no interest in moving that far down. With the 12th pick and all the other ammo Beane accumulated we are in a prImo position. LOVE IT!

Does Chenelly still have it? We are trageting Keenum
Bag of Milk replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chenelly has hit on much of his "shared information" . There has some he hasn't hit on, but remember these situations are always fluid. Either way, he always seems to have integrity and appreciate that he takes the time share. -
Time share? And I thought Ralph was cheap!

If Gaines resigns, he won't be the first player who tested the market, came to a "tentative" agreement with another team, then decides to stay put. Why stay in Buffalo? 1.He was hand picked by GM Brandon Beane in the high profile Sammy Watkins. trade. Though, unknown by most Bills fans, he turned out to be a perfect in the Bills defense. Beane knew and thus, has strong belief in him. 2. He is rumored to be signing with the Bucs, Dirk Koetter the Bucs head coach IMHO is one the most likely head coaches to be fired next year. What defense will the Bucs be running once he is canned? Will it be suitable for Gaines skillset? Will the new regime that takes takeover consider EJ to be one of their guys? 3. It certainly appears that Beane and McDermott are at the beginning of building something special, leaving a few dollars on the table my be in his interest long term. That being said, as all these contracts do, it comes down to the guaranteed money, if the offers are at least in a similar ballpark, I could see him staying.

Agreed. Beane's ability to identify and obtain talent in the secondary has been stellar.

Is Josh Rosen really the QB that the Bills covet?
Bag of Milk replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree 100% -
This might be news to you, but Frank Reich is not the GM or the main decision maker in Indy. In reeality he is an afterthought as their head coach Though,. I think he will be a very good one. Ballard is their GM and Jim Irsay the Colts is heavily involved in all football matters. Reich will not be making any decision on keeping or trading Andrew Luck.

RUMOR: EJ Gaines to the Bucs when FA opens
Bag of Milk replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear you. heck, we all have perceptions that are wrong- it just gets frustrating when you tell people the reality and they can't let go. Either way, I'm usually not on here much, but with all of our picks and with a management and coaching inplace that knows what they are doing, the next few months should be much fun! -

It would be nice to keep him. They saw the writing on the wall as to how much he will be getting paid and they moved on. Kudos to Beane for being premptive by signing Vontae Davis. -
