That's a salary given to average backup Qb's and certainly McCarron has the potential to offer much more.
-
Well he is phenomenal on tape and at the combine. Anyone wanting more information on Vander Esch might enoy reading this. Urlacher isn't a bad comp. http://www.ktvb.com/article/sports/ncaaf/boise-state-football/nfl-combine-the-buzz-builds-around-leighton-vander-esch/277-525301521

LOL., My bad, I glossed over it. I guess I am denial that after all that Beane has done, some people think we might not take a QB.
-
Who said they should use the number 12 pick on a LB?
-
Vander Esch absolutely crushed the combine. He WILL be a first round pick

Thank God! All these silly posts about trading for this guy or that guy can end. The Bills were patient, all good things come to those who wait! Having a QB roster of: Rosen, McCarron and Peterman next year is pretty good in my book. Need I add..."Trust The Process..."

Jacoby Brissett is a possibility IMO

Giving up a third round pick for Brissett is just not necessary. Beane and McDermott, etc. worked hard to accumulate these picks, no need to toss them away. There are still free options out there. -
Mayfield say's he's improved since combine
Bag of Milk replied to RVJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point, but I guess I was being rhetorical. These pro days are orchestated to such a great degree, it is RARE that a players strengths aren't highlighted and weaknesses are minimized. Teddy really must have **** the bed, because at the time no one could even sugar coat it. -

Has anyone ever had a bad pro day? Just asking. -
Josh Rosen's intermediate & vertical game
Bag of Milk replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have watched this, Waldman is always worth listening too. Thee are so many talking heads spinning nonsense about the draft and particularly the QB's. I find it worthwhile to cut through the nonsense and seek out the opinions of those who are actually experienced at doing film study of QB's. It seems like those that actually study film- prefer Josh Rosen overwhelmingly. This includes Waldman, Josh Norris and the God father of film study himself Greg Cosell. -
Mead are you hitting the wine a bit too much tonight? Maybe it's time to call it a night.

Ross Tucker Says We're Likely Signing McCarron
Bag of Milk replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NFL Draft Diamonds @DraftDiamonds 55m55 minutes ago More Wait a minute. A.J. McCarron's agent is Todd France.... That is Bills owner Terry Pegula's former partner before buying the Bills. #Hmm The above was posted on Twitter earlier this evening. It is an interesting point. Hard to complain if we get McCarron on the cheap. -
Killing the Draft, Free Agency- Not so much....
Bag of Milk replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess I am not as impressed as you are with most of those deals. McDermott and Beane are building a team for the long haul, and you still do that by building your nucleus through the draft. We will be flush with cash next year to sign free agents as needed We finally have a GM who seems quite aware of the benefits of playing the "supplemental pick game" to their advantage and thus you don't go crazy overspending in free agency. -

The 2018 league year and free agency period begin at 4:00 p.m., New York time tomorrow. Get off the ledge. -
Bills Re-Sign Kyle Williams To One Year Deal
Bag of Milk replied to dgr81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly thought no one could dump on a thread about the Bills resigning Kyle Williams. If a Bills fan can't root for Williams to still be a part of the team, even in a lesser role, what's the purpose of fandom? -

Sammy Watwins to KC on a 3 Year Deal
Bag of Milk replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not a Sammy Watkins hater( though, yes I did hate the trade up to get him) With a young offensive mastermind as head coach(McVay) Watkins had every opportunity to show he was an elite wide receiver last year with the Rams. He still left me wanting. The Chiefs situation certainly appears perfect for him. Mahomes was my favorite player in the draft last year, it will be interesting to see if he gels with Sammy. If he does, many Bills fans will die a bit inside. -
There is ther difference between being an elite, top, blue chip player in real life from being mocked in the top 4 by random mock drafters. I haven't seen anyone who watches film touting Mayfield as one of their top 4 most talented players in the draft.

Sammy Watwins to KC on a 3 Year Deal
Bag of Milk replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd lean toward the never will part. When is the last time it took a " generational" talent at WR take 5 years to fully show it? 39 catches for 593 yards on an offense that was top 10 in the NFL last year? 30 million guarenteed? -
Josh Rosen has "Bust" written ALL over him.
Bag of Milk replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry , you are completely wrong on this. Rosen is the best short and intermediate thrower in this class. Add to this his ability to process information quickly and read the entire field. Thus, my friends you have the qualities in a QB we have been lacking in Buffalo for quite awhile. -
In no world is Baker Mayfield a blue chip top 4 pick in the NFL draft.
