Paid him going rate for a AVG TE. Which is exactly what he is though.

I think Kroft was a good signing. Alot of people don't know about him but he's a pretty tightend. Reliable hands, getting better as a route runner, excellent blocker. I think this was a good signing... he makes his money in the red zone.

I don't think we've paid too much either. He's not Jimmy Graham... but I think this front office is high on Croom. Kroft is just another solid weapon if they decide to go 2 TE sets. Give Allen more choices.

Time to panic. The first day is almost halfway over.

There's no panic... but I'm with him...what's the plan? This is being calculated!  Weds everyone that's important will be signed. This isn't the year to be conservative, we have pressing needs! & some pretty good players that's available & we're chasing down Frank Gore... who could have been signed Friday!!

Nobody was rushing out to sign Frank Gore

    Good depth signing

    I don't think its depth...I think he's starting opposite of Tre'White.

I liked him coming out of college, but at the time we were running that man coverage D from Rex. He's a good zone man. He was never really a man - man guy. He can do it...just not consistently. But, in zone...he should be great...especially at not being the #1 CB. He'll be the #2 going against #2 WR's

    Nice signing

Roethlisberger mentioned retirement a few years back, I’m sure it’s going to happen sooner rather than later. Drew Lock is a good QB, good size, strong arm, athletic etc. I expect Denver is going to take a hard look.

Word is Mason Rudolph is not what they thought. Time will tell. But say Pittsburgh wants Drew Lock.

I would be all for this trade down scenario. Would you?

    Buffalo Gives up picks

    9 (1350)

    113 (68)

    148 (32)

    159 (28)

In Return from Pittsburgh Bills get

    20 (850)

    52 (380)

    66 (260)

that trade would leave the Bills with the #20 pick, 2 second round picks and 2 early third round picks. Leaves Bills with a 4th round.

    picks 20, 40, 52, 66, 75, 132 in the first four rounds.

Teams I see moving up for Lock, jumping Denver would be Cincinnati, Miami, Tennessee and Pittsburgh. But Pittsburgh just gained more picks from Oakland to be more aggressive.

    It's good to want things...

It’s what you need in a slot guy. Brady has made it work kind of  OK for a while..... It’s not Josh’s most natural throw, but could be clutch if they can make it work.

It will all come down to whether Josh can make ALL the throws reliably.

    .

That's my issue with Isabella... Josh Allen is not Accurate enough to use a slot man. Not saying he can't develop it... but if you try & force him to start picking apart defenses...we might be back here next year talking about He took a step back. I'd rather get him a big target ... its safer & protects him a lot more

Dooms Day scenarios aside, I'm curious what fans believe to be the worst possible outcome of free agency and the draft.

Exclude any injuries or off fied issues for current players and try to focus on moves, acquisitions (or lack there of) that you think would be terrible for the team.

Let's see how bad things can get!

We don't draft DK.... & are stuck with Zay Jones, Foster & Humphreys possibly as our WR's. Oh & sprinkle in Ray Ray & McKenzie.  & Beane try's to sale it as an upgrade

i would take this guy over any other WR in this class, hands down...and if we don’t, watch NE take him and turn him into a HOFer.

i hear all this talk about Metcalf, a guy who never really produced in college and is coming off a serious injury.  Isabella, however, is faster  downfield (4.31 40) and quicker in short areas (6.95 3 cone), has the flexibility to elude tacklers, and the hands to make every pass all but a guarantee.  And for those that don’t think his size will allow him to hold up in the NFL? All you have to do is go no further than the recent super bowl mvp to know if a guy that size can hold up...because it’s not the size of the dog in the fight that matters, but the size of the fight in the dog. This guy screams “process” and team player through and through and simply cannot be contained on a football field.  Aren’t you tired of watching the Pats kill the league, year after year with this type of receiver? Didn’t you ever wish it was the Bills who had that ability?

Well, if there is one guy I want to draft more than any other player it’s Andy Isabella...Go Bills!

I like Isabella... reminds me of Zay Jones... wait? We have him already... man... no point in having the same type of player.

If you believe the agent, Bills passed on AB before it was ever an option for them ....he did not blow it up. Beane did.

Was just about to post this... here's the link in case anyone wants to know more. But yeah... We passed on AB... it wasn't about him not wanting to come to Buffalo.

I think you may be right there, I can't really remember. Seems like it was so long ago

Yeah Dri Archer did that... the Bills owned his rights for 2 years... then released him. But that was so bad for him...no team picked him up again. Just a bad move on his part. He wasn't even establish in the league yet.

With all this being said, didn’t Dri Archer do the same thing to us?

This whole AB situation got me thinking.   What happens if the Bills pulled the trigger on Brown and traded for him, despite the fact that he said he wouldn’t report.

Once the trade is consummated, if a player refuses to report to the team that traded for him and sits out an entire season (a la Bell) can the team void the trade?

If they can’t void the trade then it shows how players ultimately hold the power....not the GM or team.

From what Sal said... the Bills were the ones that backed out of the deal because once they got word from AB's agent that there's a chance he might not report...the Bills didn't want the media frenzy. If the trade had went through & AB didn't show, then the Bills would have been screwed. They would have his rights...So if AB wanted to play in the NFL again, he'll have to report.

The player doesn't have too much power in this sense... cause you don't make it to the NFL if you don't have a love for the game. Most players will not...just not show up. AB said he wouldn't to scare the Bills & it worked. But if Beane said screw it & still made the deal... I think AB would have reported, got fined, & it would have been a media dumpster fire for months at OBD. I think that was enough for the Bills to back out. Not saying the player had the power... but what team really want to go through all that???  Its a business...at the end of the day.

Depends how FA goes and who is available.  If 1 of the stud d lineman are available that's a given.  I think Hockinson and Metcalf are in the discussion as well.  Personally, I want Buffalo bring in a deep threat this offseason so I am going Metcalf.

I think given the fact that they were pursuing AB & was about to give him a huge contract. Tells us alot! WR is a huge need for them. I think they want leadership on that O-Line... so Matt Paradis & Darryl Williams from the Panthers might be our biggest signings come Tuesday.

If they're able to get Paradis & Williams... they'll probably go after Adam Humphreys, Crabtree or John Brown on small 3 year deals...not all 3... I think they'll pick one. But they're definitely not drafting a O-linemen at 9 if they have Williams & Paradis.

It's looking more & more that DK will be the pick at 9.  He's the only....& I mean THE ONLY WR in this draft with Superstar potential.  Those other WR's are safe & pretty good. They want Allen to have a stud... like I said AB told us a lot.

Its DK... & Adam Humphreys or Crabtree or John Brown is someone that can make plays & teach DK, Zay, & Foster...how to play this game.

It just makes too much sense at this point
