Patrick Queen: Would you trade a late rounder for him?
ngbills replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Started every game since day 1. Last year he had 117 tackles / 9 tfl, 2 int and 6 pd, 1 FF, 2 FR, 5 sacks, 14 qb hits, 83.1 qbr against, 7% missed tackle. The numbers stack up pretty well. I would take him for a 3rd and 4th. -
Preseason Week 2 - Bills Vs. Steelers, what do you hope to see?
ngbills replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
No injuries. A sign of life from our “upgraded” depth wr’s. At least average play from our OL. Discipline and lass mistakes or penalties than last week. -
Practice fight (8/15) - Helmets are swinging
ngbills replied to Slippery Rubber Mats's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dodson - Undrafted and signed as udfa. Suspended for domestic violence. Cut after the suspension and resigned to PS. Fill playing time (150 snaps per year) over the past 3 years. Replacement for Edmunds (some calling him upgrade...). Fighting and swinging helmet at his teammates. -
Brandon Shell Reportedly Intends to Retire
ngbills replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Welp. There goes the "Brown back up plan". -
Just look at last year. KC had meaningful impact in the playoffs from: 2022 Draft picks (4 rookies starting and multiple others with decent roles, only 1 did not play) McDuffie started all 3 playoff games Karlaftis started all 3 playoff games Watson started all 3 playoff games Pacheco started all 3 playoff games Moore PT in playoffs including a TD Cook PT in playoffs Chenal PT in playoffs Williams PT in playoffs Johnson PT in playoffs on ST 2021 Draft Picks (4 of these rookies started in 2022 playoffs, 2 did not play) Bolton started all 3 playoff games Humphrey started all 3 playoff games Gray started all 3 playoff games Smith started all 3 playoff games In comparison the Bills: 2022 Draft Picks (0 Rookies starting and 3 with PT, 5 did not play) Bills had zero rookies from 2022 starting both playoff games. Only 3 of the Bills 8 picks played (Bernard ST snaps in one games if you want to count that). Elam played 60 of D snaps which was highest. Cook and Shakir were in the 30's. 2021 Draft Picks (2 of these rookies start both games and 1 with PT, 5 did not) Rousseau and Brown started with Basham getting PT. So there you have it. KC has 8 players from the 2021 and 2022 drafts starting in the playoffs for a Super Bowl winning team. With others playing roles. Only 3 players from these drafts did not play. The Bills are the opposite. They had only two starters and only 6 even getting snaps. They had 10 not playing.

We say this every year around this time.

More flawed logic. The Bills are gonna be better this year because the running game will be better with Cook, Harris, and Torrence on the OL. Other team gets RB and RB’s don’t matter. If the Jets D is solid as expected, Rodgers just have to distribute the ball to guys like Cook, Hall, Wilson. They will be a tough out for anyone. Going to hold a lot of teams under 20. With Rodgers and the players around him it’s going to be easier to score more than 20. They lost 6 games last year they held teams to 20 or less. Flip those and they are 13-4.

Funny how teams that played us tough last year get better and the response is doesn’t move the needle, who cares. I still think we win the division but it’s gonna be tougher than last year.

Ezekiel Elliot to Pats on 1 year up to $6 million deal
ngbills replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Zeke is 28...not a good age for a RB with his workload. But dude has been at 2,000 rush/rec yards twice. That is a pretty good back up to have. -
Rank the top 5 from top to bottom and name 3 dangerous outsider
ngbills replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unless you have a dominant D it is going to come down to offense. So this is the AFC... KC - Mahomes to Kelce with Andy Reid is at the top. They have a solid OL. Pacheco is a rising star, Toney gets a full offseason. MVS is solid. Watson and Moore add depth. CIN - Burrow to Chase, Higgins, Boyd. Solid OL and Mixon. BUF - Allen to Diggs and Davis. Hopefully, we see Kincard step in as a rookie and get production from Harty, Sherfield or whoever. Cook and Co will likely share the load at RB. OL has questions. The others... MIA - Tua to Hill and Waddle. NYJ - Rodgers to Wilson, Lazard, Davis BAL - Jackson to OBJ, Flowers, Andrews, Bateman JAC - Lawrence to Engram, Ridley, Kirk, Jones LAC - Herbert to Allen, Williams, Johnston, Everett, Ekelar -
Josh Allen to Stefon diggs on repeat

Rank the top 5 from top to bottom and name 3 dangerous outsider
ngbills replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Vegas says KC, PHI, Bills, CIN, SF. That sounds right. Outsiders looking in are DAL, MIA, BAL, SD, JAX, NYJ and maybe. Couple others. The bills were third best last year in the AFC and the roster is not stronger. KC and CIN did not do much either. It’s gonna come down to who is healthy and playing well come playoff time. -
What I saw is preseason. Practices can be a lot more telling than games. I think wr and lb you clearly have guys fighting for jobs and roles on this team.

Is the MLB Competition Over Before It Started?
ngbills replied to JackKemp's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here is what a lot of people miss. Football is a team sport more than any other sport. Generally speaking, outside of QB, you can lose players and adjust to not have a significant impact. You change out a player and the entire unit can make up for that loss. However, sometimes there are things that are less noticeable to the average fans. Hence comments like how are we ever gonna replace Edmunds 5 tackles or 1 sack, etc. The bigger impact is whoever replaces Edmunds will have a different skillset that impacts the players around him. Edmunds size and speed allowed the Bills to utilize DB's in different ways when Edmunds is on the field. You could use the front in different ways because of Edmunds. Replacing him with a more traditional MLB will changes things and the hope is that there will not be a big impact. Long story short its not just what the player does, but what the player allows the entire defense to do. -
This thread should be deleted immediately. If the bills don’t make the playoffs we all know who to blame.

Aaron Schatz picks the Bills and 49ers in the Super Bowl
ngbills replied to Utah John's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wanted this since 1990 -
Josh is never gonna be the typical qb. Some people think that is what you have to be to win for the long haul. He still relies on the off script play. He still will miss an easy pass. He will make the wrong read. But he will make up for it when he does something amazing a play later. It is fair to ask what will happen in 5 years or more when the ability is not there? Will he be as good a qb without that attribute. Time will tell. I still take him as my qb.

Outside of MLB, Where are the Bills Worse in 2023?
ngbills replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
A ton of people have said he was a liability on the field which is just wrong. He is a top tier lb. Always a tough call when deciding who to pay. They would have signed him to a Milano like contract but he was too pricey. Just like we thought Milano would be but luckily the market was softer for Milano. -

ngbills replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tremaine played as close to 100% of the snaps as a player can play. It is so odd how people continue to talk like he was a liability on the field. The Bears and other NFL teams only see his size. The bills played him from day 1 and kept him on the field and never looked to replace or even support him. Yes he sucks and only has size. This stuff makes no sense. If Josh walked rather than resigning is this what the narrative would be? People just love his arm and size and speed but he was terrible. -

ngbills replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do people understand Edmunds role in this defense? A lot of critics that he did not blow up the line, make tackles behind the line, etc. That was not his job. He was not used like some middle LB that don’t have two gap responsibility or have such a big role in the passing game. That is why he rarely blitzed or was rarely chasing guys behind the line of scrimmage. -

Disagree. That’s like saying we have exact same roster as last year. So Allen gets hurt last season but is healthy this season we are saying the front office upgraded the roster? It’s about how are we entering this season vs last season. We lost a clear star player in edmunds and have added a handful of depth players. That is the reality. The argument could be we didn’t need to upgrade we just need guys to be healthy. But that is different than we upgraded. -
Leonard Floyd is good. Versus Spencer Brown he is elite. Spencer Brown is playing awfully bad right now and it is not surprising. He was arguably the worse starter on both sides of the ball last year.
