  1. The term special team ace is overrated. These are nfl players. One guy may be slightly better but the difference is not huge. It’s more preparation than players. So if your team practices special teams more than others maybe you outperform, rather than signing better players. Overall though special teams play has drastically been marginalized. It’s becoming less and less important. Focusing on special teams would be like saying we know it’s a passing league but we are gonna sign every good run blocking OL, WR and TE and run the ball since everyone else is focused on the passing game. How would that work out?
  2. Hopkins and Houston were just seen together at club marcella. package deal must be imminent.
  3. Those are my thoughts exactly. With our RB additions, you could argue Hines has minimal value on this team. Cutting Hines, Neal, Lewis and Mata would give us $8M+ and that could pay for a pretty good player - Hopkins or similar level.
  4. Can we now move the $10M on special teamers to D Hopkins? Never got the obsession with STers when it has been clear the NFL is making changes that drastically decrease the value of ST play. Pay your kickers and no one else matters. Draft and sign young DB and LB that can be used on ST's that have less importance. Maybe we develop them from ST players to contributors rather than guys that play only ST and will never play anything else.
  5. Kincaid was just late to playing football. He was a Mackey semi-finalist. Josh played forever but went unnoticed or was questioned. He played JC and then Wyo. Was not in the running for major awards.
  6. Not my predications of who will win, but my prediction of what team will be favored: At Jets L - Vegas will love the Jets early and Jets at home in Rodgers debut (0-1) Vs Raiders W - Bills favored at home (1-1) At Washington W - Bills road favorite (2-1) Vs Miami W - Bills favored at home unless MIA is 3-0 and we are 1-2 (3-1) Vs Jacksonville W - Bills favored if 3-1 (4-1) Vs Giants W - Bills favored at 4-1 (5-1) At NE W - Bills road favorites at 5-1 (6-1) Vs Tampa W - Bills favored at home at 6-1 (7-1) At Cinci L - CIN favored most likely unless they have an awful start (7-2) Vs Bronco's W - Bills favored at 7-2 (8-2) Vs Jets W - Bills favored at home at anything above 6-4. At 8-2 no issue. (9-2) At Philli L - PHI is favored at home unless they are sub .500. (9-3) At KC L - KC is favored at home unless they are sub .500. (9-4) Vs Dallas W - Bills favored at home despite 2 game losing streak and 9-4 record (10-4) At LA W - Could go either way. But going with Bills road favorite at 10-4 (11-4) Vs NE W - Bills easy favorite at 11-4 (12-4) At Miami L - Could go either way with Bills at 12-4. If MIA is good enough for the game to matter they are favored, if not the Bills are resting guys. (12-5) Bills go 12-5. I see the range being 10-7 to 14-3.
  7. Or we can just move Allen to MLB. He would be our biggest LB. 🙄
  8. This is the reality. And outside of Allen we have still not drafted a significant player at a high value position. No evident future all pro WR, LT, Edge (maybe we Greg R so do?), CB. We are becoming one of the oldest teams in the league and lack young talent.
  9. He and Harris are basically the same age. Harris has fewer carries (NFL and College) so you could argue is younger in terms of usage.
  10. I disagree. To beat KC and CIN or whoever you add in the mix is pretty basic. You need to either be able to outscore them with our O, stop them with your D, or out scheme them. I don't think our O has improved to outscoring them. We may be more balanced which can help in the regular season and take some pressure off. But it is debated to non-Bills fans if our RB's are better. Singletary got paid more than any of our RB's. So if money talks he is better. Hopefully, our WR/TE room is better, which should not take much, but many unknowns. Our OL does look better but again if Brown is the weak link we are in trouble. So while our O could be better its still below KC and CIN. Only Bills fans will say our D is better. Most will point out the losses at dey positions and our DC. This will be a wait-and-see but is concerning to me. We did not add anyone on the edge and who knows when Miller is back. Our LB corp outside of Milano is a huge ?. Is Tre going to bounce back or continue to decline? Will Hyde be back healthy, Poyer as well? Tons of questions on D. Dorsey, Dorsey, McD. The pressure will be on this year. Allen cannot always be superman. The coaches need to help out.
  11. I could see one of the RB's cut.
  12. Ford signed and is a lock.
  13. This could be the best signing of the offseason.
  14. On paper we got better in some areas and worse on others. In all I don’t see an upgrade more of status quo. Hopefully the OL changes are what tilts the scale. However, the gap is not a real thing. The AFC has a bunch of good teams. It’s about coaching, luck, injuries and who shows up to play.
  15. 7th round pick creates a log jam? Trader away 6th round picks were useless picks anyway? Confusion. So in the 6th no one could crack our roster. But the guy in the 7th is competing for a spot.
  16. Bills drafted 5 and 6th rounders are great picks Bills don’t use a 5 and 6th for a proven player it’s because we value our picks Bills trade 5 and 6th rounders they would not make the team anyway. Bills have a ton of 5 and 6th rounders next year they will be amazing picks I guess that can all be true? I would rather have used picks to trade up in 2, 3 and 4 this year and got a better LB and WR and DT.
  17. This is weird. So we don’t want to use draft capital for players but don’t value picks to use?
  18. The measurable scan be different than the body type and playing style. Kincaid is not a bruiser like Kelce or even Kittle. He relies more on height and speed than using his body to Muscle his way open. He is more of the big WR than the true TE.
