  1. https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/buffalo-bills-deandre-hopkins-dalvin-cook-team-up-free-agency-rumors-contract-sign-josh-allen Dalvin ($5M cap) and Hopkins ($8M cap) Cut Hines, Murray (Dont need them with Cook Bros) & Neal (overpaid ST) Restrux Dawkins, Morse, Johnson Have a few $M to spare If coach would have put Kumerow in then we would have beaten CIN and won the Super Bowl. I bet Kumerow could throw the ball over them mountains.
  2. Crowder was hurt in oct Davis was battling injuries since Sept Kumerow is more ST than WR Shakir had minimal impact They should have acted much sooner to bring help in the WR. It was lack of action not lack of options.
  3. Here is the problem with waiting to fire a coach. you wait until they have a bad year and then fire them, bring in a new guy, who often blows the team up. So you never see what a different coach could have done with the same roster. That would be the argument for bringing someone in while you are winning. You just want to get over the bump not hit restart.
  4. Not many coaches would not make the playoffs with Allen and this roster. Winning in the playoffs has been the issue. Look what Tomlin has done in Pitt with way less talent. Or SF with no QB. I am not for firing him yet…but at some point maybe.
  5. Stop Diggs. Make Allen player Superman ball. That is how you beat the Bills. They need someone behind Diggs to keep a good D / game plan honest.
  6. If I am playing the Bills I am going to attack the middle of the field. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  7. Isn't Isaiah McK 5'8" / 170lb? And Cole Beasley? And Jamison Crowder?
  8. I think we are overhyping the improvements made at OL and WR. OL - I am hopeful McG can be an upgrade over Saffold. But to call it a sure thing is naive. The rest of the line is the same. I think much of the hope will be on Spencer Brown playing better, he was worse than Saffold last year. If Edwards or Torrence beat out Bates is that a major or minor upgrade? Bates is already a serviceable G. Torrence could be the long-term answer though. We are splitting hairs if we are debating the depth. The most important depth is at C and we still are in trouble if Morse goes down. WR - I don't buy the Harty and Sherfield hype. Both guys have been in the league four years and done nothing. Yet we call them upgrades over Crowder and McK who had accomplished a lot more. The real story here will be G Davis (assuming we dont get Hopkins) and how he plays this year. If he is bad it does not matter much what Harty and Sherfield do. I also think we are underestimating the loss of Edmunds. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  9. So do you have post from last year saying - Saffold signing is terrible? Cook and Elam will barely play?
  10. Recency bias. This years draft is always better than last years when last year does not turn out well. Same applies to free agents. Saffold was considered an A grade signing last year and now the narrative is replacing him with anyone is an upgrade. Same result could be with any of the guys we signed this year. Its the we dont know yet so has to be better mindset.
  11. Last year. We were the super bowl favorite and the talk of the league. Recent memory bias - this year's signings have hopes and dreams...just like this year. Last year was actually a bigger haul before the play actually started. Bringing back the core with breakout years coming for Davis, Brown, Oliver, Knox, Rousseau Draft: Elam is a day 1 plug and play CB Cook is going to be dynamic and rookie of the year candidate. Shakir was a steal and be a huge factor in the passing and return game Elam is a day 1 plug FA's - Most graded A/B signings https://billswire.usatoday.com/lists/buffalo-bills-free-agent-von-miller-oj-howard-rodger-saffold/ Von Miller - pass rush issues solved = Super bowl DL - Problem solved - Settle, Jones, Phillips, Lawson Saffold is a former pro bowler and solidifies the only weakness on the line Crowder is a huge upgrade at slot OJ Howard finally gives us a TE2 target
  12. See what Diggs is doing with his hands? It’s my co$& is bigger than yours. I knew this fight was about that.
  13. Which does not show up in "we were the #2 Offense". Maybe with a better OC we are the #1 offense by a landslide. Or we are #4 offense but can gameplan to win in the playoffs. Funny how so many say this team is better with Frazier gone...what about but we had the #2 Defense? Oh but it was obvious our defense sucked when it mattered blah blah blah. If Dorsey got fired it would be the same story - it was so obvious he sucked.
  14. That looked completely lost in a playoff game.
  15. High expectations. Inconsistency. Nothing looked easy. Other teams commented that it was predictable. The eye test. You have a top 3 QB that can run and pass it would be criminal to not have a top 10 offense. I dont think it takes even a college level OC to do that. The difference is can you scheme when it matters. Can you adjust when needed. The answer so far is no.
  16. The "real" Stef and Damar will be buried under the new stadium. Convenient timing right?
  17. Very likely. Frustration about coaching, game plans, commitment, etc carried over from last year. Shows up and sees the planning the coaches have been working on all offseason and flips a lid. Dorsey strikes me as an ego guy. Wants to get the credit which leads to trying to create rather than letting your stars play.
  18. Thats a lot of IF's. And thats my point. I am a Bills fan so hope these moves pan out. But I would give all those back for Hopkins or similar. A bunch of mediocre guys behind Diggs does not move the needle much in my opinion. On the flip side - If any of our rivals signed these exact guys nobody would blink an eye.
  19. Rebuilding in we need a few more years. We are not going to win next year. Hence no Hopkins or other bigger moves. The O improvement is debateable. Nothing we have not done in other years. Harris, Harty, Sherfield, McGov, Kincaid, etc are not sure thing, pro bowl player signings. We are hopeful they work out but are the sane level as Saffold, Crowder, E Sanders, OJ Howard, Quiss, and more. Doesn’t mean it won’t work and we have a solid year. Just seeing the other side that could see these not moving the needle. Hopkins to the Bills and they are likely Super Bowl favorites and the talk is how are you going to stop them. Quite different than the I like what they did and think they could be better.
  20. Yes and was frustrated. Showing up and seeing it live makes him feel worse. He would know how the vibe was the last few seasons and can tell there is a different feel. A rebuilding? Maybe?
  21. Will not change anything about about how teams defend them. The drop off is from Diggs is huge.
  22. Diggs wanted some changes. Bring in DHop or something to help this offense win in the playoffs. Diggs probably did not like what the team has done this offseason. Leads to some frustration. He shows up this week at the facility. Sees minimal changes to the playbook or approach. Sees Dorsey still here and Hall gone. Frustration comes out. Talks to McBeane and gets the we are on the right track talk. Diggs may feel this O is going backwards and worse than it was 2 years ago not better. Not feeling they Ra Ra everything is great narrative and heads home.
  23. Maybe Diggs has tried and McBeane and crew have blown him off. Told him we can deal with this stuff later, get some rest and enjoy some time away. We all need a recharge and some time away. Another indication to Stef that this team is soft and not all in.
