Exactly - we win one of the NYJ or MIN games and we are the 1 seed. That is why every game matters. It hurts losing this game and to Zach Wilson.
-
No not doom and gloom. Just that we have tough sledding and this year is looking tougher than last year when all we have heard is how much better this team is. And yes its a huge advantage getting the #1 seed. You skip a week and are a couple games from the SB. That is massive.

As we all hate on Ken Dorsey today let’s remember
ngbills replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
May not seem like a lot but Allen has 20 rush attempts in 5 games. The prior two seasons he had 35 through 5. On pace for about half the number of yards as the past few years as well. -
I heard Leslie Frazier just called and wants to compete with Norman for the spot on the PS...
-
Good chance to take a look at someone you dont know well that could surprise. Most likely wont pan out, but a guy like Norman is not going to pan out.
-
Vontae Davis missed his flight for a work out so they had to sign Norman quick. Rumor is Kelvin Benjamin also in for a visit since they had the flight credit for Davis missed one.

Signing as asst DB Coach maybe?

Have we checked and checked again and then again that this is not a mistaken story being posted from a few years ago?

Milano/Jones BOTH require surgery; Per McDermott
ngbills replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you can score and get some pressure. The one thing this D should be able to do still is get pressure with a healthy Miller, Groot, Oliver, new and improved AJE, Floyd. Mix in blitzes from the DB's. -
As we all hate on Ken Dorsey today let’s remember

This is what is killing me about Dorsey. He is so stubborn or wants to prove others wrong or something. It has been become clear this team operates better under center and going play action. The running game has been better and the passing game under center. Yet Dorsey continues to force this shotgun delayed draw that gets -3 yards more than positive 1. We stick with the shotgun throwing the same come back route or 30 yards swing pass to the sideline for 1 yd. The passing stats from under center vs shotgun are absurd. Yet we go shotgun all game. -
Kincaid in concussion protocol, Knox has a wrist injury
ngbills replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Or have them run a route other than a safety valve for 2 yards. -
We played the Stafford / Kupp Rams. They may not have been Super Bowl level but still were a good team until those guys and others got hurt. Calling them the raiders/commanders is absurd. We shall how the rest of the season goes. I am hopeful...I just wish we could still have this two losses in our pockets. Especially with these injuries piling up.

The O matters much more honestly. To win in the playoffs it is going to be much more about scoring points. -

Its still early but Kincaid, Harty and Sherfield have not resulted in much of an upgrade thus far. -
If Brown needs help and Cook cant pass protect that is a problem. I am ready to ditch our fake 12 personnel. Well I should say the shotgun 12 personnel. We either go all in running our base offense from under center, going play action and having Murray/Harris on the field much more. More of west coast style offense. Or just go shotgun with 5 wide and go fast tempo. We are stuck in this in between scheme that is slow tempo, shotgun, short passing attack. Teams are on to us and most seem to be faster than us. So all the short stuff gets chased down easily with no yac

*The first point is a fact. I am not misleading anyone. The record is 3-2. That is one more loss than the past 4 seasons and means we have less wiggle room the rest of the season. * I am not speculating anything about the future other than we have some games that look touch on the schedule. If we win next week I would be happy to update to say we are 4-2 and still have those tough games on the schedule. * Our wins last year were @Rams, Titans, Steelers, @Ravens and most were blow outs. Those are easily more impressive than Wash, Mia, and @Raiders. Your last point makes no sense. Beneath standards? Comparisons across seasons? Most discussions in any season are about where you got better or where you got worse. Obviously there is a lot at play but that is the starting place. To me comparing the play and the results is much more meaningful than opinions of why we are better. That is guesswork and wishful thinking. 13-3 says hello

How are we better? Feels better? Looks better? What have done that is better than last year?

Snap Counts from Jags game-Von 20 snaps
ngbills replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
My point is the NYG game, one that is not in London and vs a much worse team would have been a better game to ease Miller back into. It seemed like not only was there a snap count but he was also playing careful out there just trying to get back on the filed but not do too much. The next game would have been a better time for that. -
It has been an interesting season that is for sure. Record 3-2 - Worse start since 2018. All 5 games the Bills were favored by decent margins (MIA only one less than 5, not including NYJ bc if Rodgers was out that 3-pt spread would have been 5+). 2 of our 3 wins are vs sub 500 teams that will not be sniffing the playoffs. Last year we destroyed the super bowl champ Rams and 2 prior playoff teams in TEN and PIT and a close one vs another playoff team in BAL. The one loss was the extreme heat game in MIA. Stats We have a huge 79 pt scoring differential. Scoring 159 and only giving up 80. But...last year we were at 152 scored and only 61 given up, so a better differential of 91. This narrative about this years record breaking pace is actually not as impressive if you choose to remember last year. On O last year we had 4 games with over 400 yds, basically 2 with 500 yds and only 1 with 300. This year we have only hit 400 twice and not sniffed 500. On D last year we held 4 teams under 300 yds (1, almost 2 under 200 yds). No one gut 400 on us. This year we have only held 3 and 2 had essentially 400. Injuries We have lost White and likely Milano. Last year we had no White for a long time, Hyde went out week 2, Miller was out 6 games, Poyer was out 4 games, Oliver, Edmunds, Morse all missed 3 games, not to mention Allen and Davis played banged up. Verdict So are we in better shape compared to last year? The narrative has been how much improved we are on paper. We have also heard how great the numbers have been despite the two losses. But as shown above last year was actually more impressive after 5 games. The remaining schedule is tough, this was supposed to be our easy stretch. Quickly coming down the pike we have @CIN, @KC, @PHI, @MIA, @LAC, home v DAL. That is 6 very tough games. If we can go 3-3 in those games and win the rest we are supposed to win that puts us at 12-5. This will likely be tight with MIA. Any slips and we are fighting for a wild card.

Snap Counts from Jags game-Von 20 snaps
ngbills replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von should have sat this one out. Should have used this next game as his "walk through" game. He did nothing out there. That is on the coaches to recognize that. -
Look at DEN, CAR, LVR, AZ, NYG, CHI, MIN rosters...see anything you like? Then you make some calls.
-
Rigged. No PI, ball was not tipped. Then don’t call sneed for taking off his helmet.
-
Mahomes earlier pass was not past the LOS?

Nice fake by min.
