  1. Gore is the short yardage back that wont fumble. He should be used only in those situations. Kroft more - not in place of Know. But in two TE sets. No McK over Beasley. No Duke. If week 17 is meaningless he will start and catch 15 passes for 265 yards and 3 TD's. Then we get a million post saying why is he not playing, start him in the playoffs, etc. Ford - Plays unless Nsehke is healthy to go.
  2. My thoughts exactly
  3. No way anyone puts us ahead of BALT, GB, NO, Sea, SF, NE, KC at this point...so thats at 8th best case. You can debate all day about HOU and MIN vs. the Bills. So that puts at 8-10 range. Funny we are #9 in most...
  4. Well Colts are done. Some weird scenarios to get Oak or Cle in...stranger things have happened. Browns playoff scenario The Browns scenario is difficult but entirely straightforward. Considering how the Ravens are playing, it’s hard to see the Browns getting out of Week 16 still alive in the playoff race. Browns win final two games — vs. Ravens, @ Bengals Steelers lose final two games — @ Jets, @ Ravens Titans lose final two games — vs. Saints, @ Texans Colts win final two games — vs. Panthers, @ Jaguars Raiders playoff scenario The Raiders starts out straight forward, and then devolves into chaos due to the depth of tiebreaker. There is a sub-Reddit for NFL playoff scenarios that has done excellent work figuring out this madness. The Raiders could reasonably win both of their remaining games, but they would need a near miracle to secure every other win or loss they need to clinch a Raiders win final two games — @ Chargers, @ Broncos Steelers lose final two games — @ Jets, @ Ravens Titans lose final two games — vs. Saints, @ Texans Colts win final two games — vs. Panthers, @ Jaguars Browns lose one of two games — vs. Ravens, @ Bengals A combination of games to swing Strength of Victory tiebreaker (via Reddit)
  5. They could have signed him and not need to claim him. He would have been a free agent and that would have been a better deal for them. KC needs him bad. They barely have any bodies after recent injuries.
  6. Predictions ready...
  7. Well 4 of the 6 playoff spots have been clinched. But still lots of moving parts in the seeding. Bills most likely locked at the #5 spot but win out and potentially move into a #1 or #2 seed. Fun last couple weeks ahead of us. Tonight IND vs NO: Indy loss and they are done. Win and have a chance. Next week BUF vs NE: Pats need these or risk losing 1 or 2 seed. Bills win would also need Pats loss to MIA to win division. Win keeps that hope alive but more it would be a confidence and statement game to put the beat down on them. TEN vs. NO: TEN needs it or division goes to HOU regardless of week 17 match up with HOU. HOU vs. TB: Dont overlook the Bucs here. PIT vs. NYJ: Pitt loss here and they could be in trouble. BAL vs CLE: Balt win locks up #1 seed. CLE still technically alive. KC vs CHI: Big implication on seeding. IND vs. CAR: Could be meaningful if IND beats NO tonight. OAK vs. LAC: Raiders still technically alive... Week 17 All dependent on prior weeks outcomes but... NE vs MIA: Could decide if Bills win division, seed of NE and if they get a bye. IND vs JAC: Could be for a playoff spot. PIT vs. BAL: Could be play in game for PIT or battle for seeding for BAL. KC vs LAC: Could determine seed and if get a bye. BUF vs. NYJ: Bills playing for the division? TEN vs. HOU: Could be for division, to get in or seeding for both. OAK vs. DEN: A miracle? CLE vs. CIN: Or this Miracle?
  8. Appears Bills did not put in a claim. Would have been nice pick up for us at a minimum to keep from Chiefs who we could play in the playoffs.
  9. No need to defend Ford. He is a rookie and this is expected; I am all for developing him. This is about winning in the playoffs. If you watch the film Ford is the weak link in this OL. It may not always be a sack but he allows too many QB pressures, batted balls by DL, etc. I know he struggled vs BALT and will need to review the PITT game but initial thought was he struggled.
  10. Playoff spot clinched. How do we win a playoff game? For starters I think we need Nsekhe back. How many times a game do we see Ford just get beat. If I am an opposing D I am attacking the Bills via Ford all game long. This along would help the Bill O tremendously. Next on my list is Kroft. Hopefully that TD catch gets him going a bit. Having the option of two TE's depending on match ups could be huge. If we are playing Houston watch the Balt game. They threw for 235 yds with half going to TE's and another big chunk going to RB's. Broncos beat them with huge game from Fant. Defense there is not much to complain. Would like to see Edmunds blitz more often as he seems to have a lot of success coming through the middle and disturbing plays. Blitz Edmunds and have a DL drop back.
  11. Edmunds was a awful call. Milano was legit.
  12. I agree with the B. Stats may look like a C but watch the game and you see something different. Would love to have seen the Bills come out and thrash the Steelers but that is not realistic as the Steelers D came to play. Josh did just enough to won. No glaring mistakes other than holding the ball too long occasionally. JA put up a Duck Hodges game of the past three weeks and a victory. Good for the team but not flashing for the QB.
  13. He played 11 games his rookie year after being drafted by the Bills. Different story here.
  14. Meant in the NFL world. Guys on other practice squads or Free agents. Justin Hunter is probably out there somewhere...
  15. How many of the thousands of NFL players go from undrafted to CFL to practice squad to underutilized by team to NFL star or even NFL contributor? Not many. Duke has more chance being out of the league next year than being a somebody the Bills regret not giving more of a chance.
  16. Bills better put a claim in. We could use him and lets keep him away from BAL, NE or KC.
  17. Come on. Many on this thread are saying if Duke is in the game we win and he catches the ball thrown to Brown etc. One guy said he just throws his arms in the air and its a TD. Catches everything his way. How he will to NE and stick it to us. None of that is reality. He had a decent game and otherwise has not been good enough. Yes, this team could use a big WR. Does not mean it has to be Duke as there are plenty that are simply better than him.
  18. Yes people have said he is a #1 in essence by saying he is the guy you throw the ball to on the last play of the game. He has played in 3 games. Not sure what the definition of dependable is? I would think it at least is someone you suit up every week. And in the games he had one decent game and in the other tow despite receiving over 50% of the snaps in each caught 1 ball. Calling him dependable makes it sound like he came out and had at least average games, not 1 catch. Those are substantiated facts. Say hi to Duke for me...
  19. How many games has he played in the NFL? That is a reach to call him dependable and shown success in the NFL. He has barely played. At this point he is barely NFL talent yet on these board he is a dependable, proven, #1 WR that can help win games for you. Huh?
  20. Duke Williams - He is not the guy we are throwing designed plays to with the game on the line. Why cant people get it that he is not good enough to make the game day roster he is likely not your go to guy for the ball game.
  21. Please please please do not use Zo as an example of this. He was a 300lb DT in college. Of course he ran a 5.17 40. Anyone that loses 50+ pounds will get way faster. Most guys will learn not get much faster after entering the NFL. That usually happens as they progress through high school and college.
  22. Are the coaches clueless or is Duke not that good? Why is everyone so confident in Duke Williams?
  23. Allen goes to Beasley and it is short of the first then we have issues. I think we should have ran the 4th down play on downs 1-3 and gone to Beasley on it. Its a hard play to defend when your trying to protect from the TD. All game should have run more quick pick routes and thrown the short pass.
  24. They used to post all the throws videos on the Bills website. Interestingly that has stopped... Your point is valid and much of what young QB's do over and over again. If you played QB you remember the boring drills to get your feet right, to turn your body right, position your throwing angle, etc. It is discipline and habit. It is one of the things that separates a good athlete from a QB. You need that discipline to and attention to detail. Not just rely on being an athlete with a strong arm.
  25. Do people watch other NFL games? The balls we are talking about with Josh are not even close. Its not the case that a WR is running a bad route or anything. They are egregiously bad balls. Lucky for Josh he has a lot of other positives attributes because at this point his deep ball is the worst in the league and something you dont see from a lot of NFL QB's. Sit down on Sunday and watch some other teams play. You wont see a lot of the deep misses the same way you see from Josh. Wont also see the athleticism or arm strength from a lot. That is the trade at this point.
