But you have to ask why it’s hard for others to get involved. Last year Harty was ineffective. This year Samuel is ineffective. MVS has been ineffective. Hollins is playing a role he shouldn’t. Coleman is rarely open. We have to ask why. Is it our QB? Is it the WR’s and we just can’t sign the right guys? Is it the OC and scheme? Do we just have bad luck? We see guys around the league catching on and stepping up when guys go down yet we can’t seem to figure it out. I think scheme is a huge part. The blind eye test without watching coaches film, I see guys rarely wide open in our O. Now many plays can you recall we have guys just running free? But watch the chiefs last night and other games around the league and you see multiple plays a games with guys wide open. Why are we not scheming that?

But Dorsey sucked and Brady was amazing. This is what we had last year too but people did not want to see it. The O looked good occasionally when things were working, maybe just due to what the D was doing. The majority of the Brady uptick was Allen running and taking games over plus a lot of help from the defense helping the O out.

Go watch the last bills series again. On 1st HOU dropped back 6 guys. There were were 4 DL s d only one LB in the box. Don’t give me the the HOU was playing the run. 2nd the rushed 4 and dropped back 7. Again the lb’s were playing back. Did the same on 3rd. We could have easily ran on those fronts.

Odd to see so many saying we could not have run the ball at the end. Isn’t that what the whole transformation of this offense was supposed to be? That we could run the ball whenever we wanted to? But now we can’t run with the clock running out? Can get even 5 yards in 3 plays? Even punting from the 10 with less time on the clock and no to’s for hou we are likely in ot. Getting by out of the end changes lots of things. But we can’t run.

Well it has been debated. Take Josh off this team and what do you have? Most of the high draft picks or big free agent spends have turned out average to bad. Samuel this year looks like the Harty move last year. Coleman and Bishop look ok. Kincaid is there underachieving. Torrance looks to have regressed. Elam can’t get on the field. It’s the Benford, Shakir, Bernard, Brown, etc late picks. But imagine if some of the $ free agents and early picks were more impactful.

Very likely they get positive yards on runs. Get out of the end zone and you at least have options. Likely more time off the clock, better punting position, and no timeouts for HOU. And that is assuming they don’t get a first down running the ball. I think they could have got a first running it either via cook or Allen.
