True but...look at DAL. He put up decent numbers ~1100 yds. Then Lamb comes in and passes him up and within a couple years Lamb puts up 1700 yards. I think that is the logic around Cooper being a very good WR just not a top tier guy.

His numbers dont scream "dominate" they are more steady and solid production. His best year is 1200 yards which is legit but in today's NFL you have tons of guys putting up those numbers. So I think its been a matter of his ceiling just being lower so if your spending big $$ it goes to someone else.

I don't know about the its not close. If the trades were reversed I would probably be just as happy. Cooper is cheaper, though doesn't matter unless we are spending money somewhere else. Though we would have needed TEN to pitch in more to make a trade work. Career wise they are similar though would say Hopkins has had more success over the long term. Who has more gas in the tank and ability to make an impact is anyone's guess. Bottom line we needed something and we got it whether Cooper, Hopkins, Kupp or Adams.

Yes and I am not complaining as I love the move for Cooper. But we traded a 3rd for him while KC a 5th for Hopkins. That is a pretty big difference. CLE actually did ok if you think about as I think they only gave up like a 5th or 6th for Cooper two years ago and got back a 3rd now.

Playoff football with our wr group of Cooper, Hopkins, Shakir, Coleman, Samuel would have looked solid. Cooper and Hopkins are both guys that D's have to focus on at big situations. That in itself would open everything up for guys like Shakir and Kincaid, not to mention RB's out of the backfield.

Good move for them and on par with how they roll. He probably wont put up huge numbers. But come playoff time I can see him making big plays in key moments that help them win games.

Add Miles Garrett to this roster we instantly are close to the Super Bowl favorites. The guy is a game changer on defense that we do not have right now. He will make everything around him better. At only 800 K this season any team would be crazy to not want him. Even at 20 million the next couple years that is somewhat cheap for one of the best rusher in the league. Think about it, a guy like AJ is going to get like 10 million a year. The difference between Garrett and aj is enormous.
