I don't like Brady, but I have always respected his game.  The Patriots won the Super Bowl last year with a power running game.  Brady only had 570 pass attempts in the regular season, the lowest number of attempts in a season where he has played a full 16 games since 2010.

Bill Belichick is the best coach in the league and will continue to game plan to hide Brady's decline like he did last year, but there is no doubt that Brady is no longer the QB he was even just 5 years ago.  Can Brady still manage a game?  Yep.  Can Brady still work his magic on a game winning drive when he needs to?  Yep.  Can Brady sling the ball 50 times a week, game after game and win that way anymore?  Nope.

I agree that Belichick game plans around Brady, but I think he could still sling it 50 times per game if he wanted to.  That's why he has so much longevity, because he doesn't have to pass it as much.  Additionally, their run game has gotten way better over the years

  2. i don't agree with this post at all.  I honestly feel that we do have the right pieces in place to win.  We obviously brought in a ton of FAs and now some drafted players, so they may not gel right away, but they'll get there.  We're not that desperate for Clowney.  We need stability on our OL so that trade is just absurd.  And we have to stop thinking that our WR corps is awful.  It's not.  Foster has shown us what he can do.  and now with the addition of Beasley, Brown, and Sills, I truly think that we'll be a lot better in the passing game this year.  I believe in what the FO has done so far with this organization.

Do we stay put at #40 or do a little horse trading to either move up a few to ensure we get our next target or try and get a 2nd pick in Rd 2?

I think there's enough talent in the 2nd round to stay put at #40 but also try to wheel and deal back into the 2nd round for another pick.

Greedy Williams, too many good WR's are still on the board

I agree.  I would love to have two shut down corners.  After all, this is a pass happy league.  let's shut that down.  And then I wouldn't mind trading back into the 2nd round if we needed to grab a WR.
