  1. Isn't there a saying, "it doesn't matter how you start, it's how you finish."  The Bills of the past usually started off pretty well, but couldn't close out games.  The Bills of today are closing out games and putting Ws on the board.  It may be ugly, but they're winning.  I know we're used to heartbreak, but enjoy what's going on now.  The future is extremely bright for our team.

I don't think it's that strange the Dolphins have a 8.4ppg and are playing one of the best defenses in the league this week and the bills are playing one of the worst defenses in the league. I wouldn't say it's easy but that's kind of the idea to put the line where it's hard to say they will hard to say they won't.

Good point.  I hope we shut them out this week.

IF I had to work on a Sunday....  it was for a reason.

I was either running tests with the customer at the factory or in the field installing the equipment and then running more tests.

    Double OT pay....

Although the pay sounds great, it sounds even better watching the Bills beat the Pats to take the Division.  Time to start a gofundme page for those working on Sunday in order to take that day off.

There are a bunch of threads out there on specific players that are “available.” It seems to make sense to consolidate some of those with the deadline approaching and some big deals already occurring. If you could make 1 trade for the Bills at this point what would it be? Give the actual realistic parameters of the deal as well.

I will go first and it may be controversial: a 2nd and Cody Ford to Washington for Trent Williams. Ford is still a young player but doesn’t look to me like he will ever be a tackle. Williams gives the Bills book ends and a really good OL. Washington takes the pick plus the young OL as part of their rebuild. He can instantly replace Flowers and give them something to work with.

What deals are you guys making?

I like the idea, but McD has shown that he gives players chances to develop before calling it quits on them.  i.e. Zay Jones.  Also, Shaq has always been disused  as trade bait, but McD wants to see if he can develop.  If Ford ever gets traded, it'll be when he's in year 3 in this system.

I remember hearing that story a few years ago.  Crazy.  Watson also seems like a great guy as well.  They choke every year but I do believe that have SB talent.

They definitely do have the talent.  That's why I predicted them to go to the SB before the season started.  D. Hopkins definitely seems like a good dude on and off the field.  He's been one of my favorite players since entering the league especially since he doesn't have a huge ego like many of these elite players nowadays.

Maybe the NFL has changed the ball?  Opposite of what MLB has done with the ridiculous juiced baseballs.

Also, I wonder if the extra point rule has gotten in guys' heads.  That used to be a no-stress, automatic kick.   Now it's a real FG attempt so these guys have a lot more kicks they have to mentally prepare for and convert than in the old days and once you start having a bad day as a kicker, it's hard to pull out of it.

Kickers have one damn job.  Kick the ball through the uprights.  To quote Bruce Lee:  "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."

That's exactly what these kickers do.  They kick the ball the exact same way every time.  Of course, they have to adjust depending on weather and field conditions, but they still do the same kick repeatedly.  These kickers are supposed to be the best in the world, and they've been flopping big time.  Not sure where the underlying issue is.

  7. Picking the 6th team was actually tough for me.  I think the top 5 are locks; Pats, Bills, Chiefs, Ravens, and Texans.  I picked the Colts as my #6 (mainly cuz of Frank Reich), but I wouldn't sleep on the Raiders.  Josh Jacobs is becoming one of the best backs in this league.  A good ground game can open a ton of opportunities in the passing game.  As Jacobs heats up, I think that offense will too.

  8. This is an easy one.  He had zero confidence in his offense to move the ball down the field.  Against our defense, they were struggling to get 1st downs.  Did he make the right call?  I actually think so.  He knew his chances of getting a 1st down was slim, so he took the chance of just putting points on the board with plenty of time left on the clock.  Titans defense was playing pretty well all game as well.  He trusts his defense more than his offense, so his logic was that his defense would be able to stop us with his offense having enough time for one last drive to either win (if they made the FG) or tie the game and send it to OT.  But of course our offense prevailed and didn't give them that chance.  In a close defensive battle, he would've gotten ridiculed no matter what decision he made.

  9. as soon as I read the name, I immediately thought this was the name of one of Kraft's massage mistresses.

Edit: Dang, as soon as I responded, I didn't realize that everyone else already posted something similar.  I'm too slow.
