I don’t have access to Cover 1 archetypes but they did a big article about Tillery and how he fits the Bills prototype athletically at that position. Astro also said they scouted ND live 3x.

I think people underrate the importance of good coaching and planning. You can't just scout and draft talent. You need a plan for what kinds of players you need for your scheme, and then you need to coach them up. Maybe if Matt Milano had been drafted by the Raiders he would be a backup instead of a future Pro Bowler. That's what sets this regime apart so far. They're creating an identity and finding players that fit, and then they're actually developing them.

  3. Going to hold off on heaping too much praise because it's still too early. This year will be a big indication on how good the 2017/2018 Drafts were.

Dion Dawkins and Zay Jones need to improve in a big way.

Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds are still raw projects but the signs are there.

The Harrison Philips, Taron Johnson and Matt Milano picks are where teams win championships.

Hoping Siran Neal and Wyatt Teller can make that leap next year.

We have this year's 2019 3rd Rounder, two 4th rounders and two 5th rounders. If we can hit on a few more players like that in addition to the Levi Wallace/Robert Foster UDFA finds than wow.

I’m watching irv smith pro day right now. He’s short for a TE but can move. Looks like a great athlete. Use him as a Hybrid

Irv Smith, Tyler Kroft and Jason Croom aren't a bad TE corps all things considered

EDIT: Regarding OP's stance on Josh Jacobs and the RB position.

I kinda just want to double dip and take Devine Ozigbo in the 4th and Bryce Love(RS rookie year) in the 5th or 6th. Don't see McCoy or Gore being here next year and I'd love if we spent two late round picks on a 1-2 punch like this. I feel so confident on both being great NFL players.

This is (IMHO) a fallacy. Go back even 20 years and assess how many All Pros were picked at 9.  Then also look at how many 9th picks have truly not panned out, then look at the remaining picks that had good, not great, careers.  I think that you’ll find that the bust equal or exceed the stars.  Key is to find high floor guys that can be good starters and hope a few of them turn out to be great.  Avoid the high ceiling, low floor guys like plague.

    That's Ed Oliver

Well telling by your picture you are willing to get on your knees and do whatever Oliver needs so there is no talking to you ??

You've clearly not red up on Ed Oliver or watched a single second of his games or even checked out his highlights if you think he doesn't have a high motor. His motor only runs hot. He makes effort plays down the filed numerous times a game. He has things he needs to correct but effort is his best quality.

Biggest takeaway: I think every defensive-line coach in the country should make a cut-up tape highlighting the effort from Oliver. He never quits on a play. Ever. It is a great lesson for every player at the position. He chases plays 30-40 yards down the field, and then he lines up and goes 100 mph on the very next play. It's a great indicator of the work he puts in during the offseason, as well as the personal drive he possesses. I was told by one of his former teammates that the coaching staff at Houston hands out an effort award after studying the game tape, and Oliver wins that award almost every week.

Well the problem with Oliver at Houston they only had a 3 man rush a lot of times. so Oliver was basically playing a nose tackle which yes isn’t his position. But I just don’t like him but he could end up being great. For some reason he just seems to me as someone who doesn’t have a high motor nor a great work ethic. And he has a lot of technical issues to fix so if he does have a horrible work ethic those aren’t going to be fixed

Ed Oliver doesn't have a high motor? I've seen it all man LOL!
