  1. I like this. I might prefer Samuel in the second, but I do like JAWs. This is a good pre-FA draft as it does a great job addressing as many needs as possible. I love the Wise and McLaurin picks.
  2. I think buried in this story is that Jackson was by far the least impressive (maybe second to Rosen) rookie from last years class as a quarterback. I really wonder what will happen in Bmore if he doesn't take a step forward. Also, we all have opinions on this, but I think we can mostly all agree that this is good news: the offseason is here and it's gonna be as insane as last years was! Get your popcorn!
  3. Stats aren't everything, but damn if this doesn't make you wonder: https://twitter.com/MatthewBerryTMR/status/1095732187058585606/photo/1 From tweet above: Past two years.
  4. Also, if the Dolphins are really wanting to tank, don't be shocked if they make a move for Keenum. Step one of tanking is to have a respectable vet be the fall guy. Sucks for Keenum. Minnesota had lightening in the bottle and got too big for their britches.
  5. I don't know how John Elway hasn't been "retired" yet... This is a good move out of context, as it gives them a proven winner who is... meh?... I guess? But in the context of what he's done since the gods gave him Manning, this is ridiculous.
  6. The problem with saying the need for late term abortions to save the mothers lives is that you still have to remove the same amount of organic material. There is no point past 25 or so weeks where a cesarean can’t be done to either save the baby, or remove the body. The difference is that abortion makes sure that it’s dead. Also, the biggest flaw in this is the argument that doctors are these unfailable, unreachable wise source that never gets it wrong. How many stories have you seen of doctors insisting on abortion for this reason or that, and the parents persist with the pregnancy and have a normal baby.
  7. TO was lean muscle, not huge. He had a runners body but it was ripped. Flexibilty is huge for WR, muscle can get in the way of that a lot
  8. Honestly, it’ll probably be be Jets. Big media, they’ll pretend like it’s a rivalry game, they’ll call Darnold the heir apparent in the East and they’ll take turns slobbering on Brady and Darnold. Plus, the Gase storyline adds some juice. Jets will have either Bell or Brown to add some electricity to their story as well. Its supposed to to be a team that the defending champs are likely to see in the playoffs, but I doubt they’d do the chiefs again and the Steelers/Pats storyline feels overrated. Browns are darkhorse I wouldn’t bet against.
  9. I saw someone talk about with Rosen’s known attitude issues that the cardinals needed to get on top of this rumor sooner than later. This has been a while which makes me think that they honestly had to talk about it first.
  10. I think he's burning a lot of bridges and overall being a stupid adult human... That being said, it would be crazy to think he wouldn't improve this team by at least 20%/
  11. I've had a "crush" on Curry since he came out of Marshall. He never really turned into anything, but I wouldn't mind him as a vet rotational, though he might be duplicating Shaq's role.
  12. That has more to do with my self-identity as a Swansonesque type person. He's probably my favorite individual character from these shows, but the whole of the Office is still better.
  13. These two get compared a lot but I’ve always felt they didn’t deserve it. They are a similar setup, but the feel is 100% different to me. Parks and Rec is very slapstick, and tries hard for humor (case in point: Andy Dwyer) whereas the Office is more subtle and leans hard into its own awkwardness to find humor (Gay witch hunt, dinner party, etc.). That being said, the Office is a better show because it’s the original (a copy of the original, at least), but I think it’s apples and oranges.
  14. https://www.foxnews.com/us/california-mountain-lion-shot-dead-by-landowners-after-preying-on-sheep-sparks-fiery-debate.amp Something in the water out there...
  15. I don’t mean to interject into a random conversation, but the problem with what you’re saying is that we don’t, as a society, judge people based on what others have done. Simmons committed a horrible crime and needs to be punished appropriately, but it’s unfair to him (and it’s a break in our systerm of justice and society) to condemn him for what he might do later. If his initial crime is enough to ban him from football, so be it. But it’s not unreasonable for teams to be interested in him if he’s shown that he’s grown past that. All that to say, with the torn ACL I would definitely take him in the 3rd if he falls that far.
  16. Agreed. What I’m saying is that there has to be some standard, and if it won’t be them, then it’ll be us.
  17. I think there is plenty of reason to point out their hypocrisy and force them to play by their own rules, but we still need to stand on logic and reason even when it's them in the spotlight, or else the ideas themselves begin to be meaningless. Innocent til proven guilty applies to the democrat and the republican or else it applies to nobody.
  18. That's definitely on the NFL, the Chiefs, and the Police. The Browns only interest is what he does from here forward.
  19. On Darnold: On Allen: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001017446/article/afc-east-rookie-grades-sam-darnold-gives-jets-reason-to-hope complete bs. Also, as per the OP's point, he references Jackson, the Pats UDFA CB, but not Wallace.
  20. I disagree. If a second year player is annoyed at competition then he isn't worth anything to begin with. As for the locker room, that's all about messaging. Saying that we believe in second chances but you gotta keep your crap together isn't a bad message to send to the locker room. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone has issues in their past. The franchise QB was arrested for running from cops. This isn't that different, it's about what he does when he's a member of the Browns.
  21. This serves as a great reminder that Allbright throws things at the wall and is a dbag in the process. His takes aren't worth much more than any other random guy.
