  1. I think he's supposing that a billionaire might be behind the establishment that got busted, hence the prevalence of it.
  2. It seems like they hit multiples throughout Florida at the same time? I wonder if they consider it one big network or something like that?
  3. Same could be said for the game day threads.... According to the archives, Mario thread has 635,350 views.... jeez.
  4. For sure. It would take a time machine to fix the real root issues. That being said, both sides of the spectrum have some stupid stupid ways of trying to fix it now.
  5. I gotcha. The reality is that a huge amount of the federal government could go away tomorrow and no real injustice would be done. There would be a lot of people hurt because we have slowly but surely built a wellfare state, but that's a whole other problem. We (you and I and every other employed american) pay for a ton of worthless ***** at the hands of the government.
  6. I'm not advocating for 10% - my post clearly said hypothetically and didn't even begin to advocate for that number- and I'm not getting into the economics of it. I'm breaking it down to the base argument. Jimmy sold lemonaide all summer and earned 50 dollars. Jenny did a dog sitting job for one day and turned down other forms of employment during the summer and earned 10 dollars. In order to fund the disney trip for the family, we're going to tax the summer income. Since Jimmy earned more, we're going to tax him at 50% (taking $25) But since Jenny earned less, we're going to tax her at 10% (taking $1.00) Also, arguing against tax cuts by saying the government is an overfed bloated, worthless piece of ***** organization is not logical in my opinion.
  7. Are people on the TSW that scared of PPP? It's not the wrong side of the tracks after dark..... Or is it...?
  8. Here's a novel idea, make income taxes based on a flat percentage rate. Say 10%, hypothetically. If I make S100,000 and pay 10% I pay $10,000.00 in taxes. If you make $1000.00 and pay 10% you pay $100.00 in taxes. That's equality.
  9. https://www.foxnews.com/us/wall-street-billionaire-ex-citigroup-president-caught-up-in-prostitution-sting-that-ensnared-robert-kraft?fbclid=IwAR39cALDh_eHZ8vRZ3IlfhgOTN7EODBZzlwnFIlHhASne1kvz_duRVB5qzM More big names being released. None that I know, but definitely some big time people.
  10. That doesn't change the fact that he went to a place with no discretion... And the rest of the country hates the Patriots. I really don't know which way it will go, but I'd be surprised if it just went away. Robert Kraft will be done (my complete opinion) but it'll be interesting to see if the Kraft name is done as well or if his son can take over.
  11. That's what I mean- the fact that there were cameras where they were proves the lack of discretion all around. Either it's a blackmail thing waiting to happen, or the actual outcome and you get busted. Either way, it's not at all a credible option without risk of exposure. I really don't believe that $6b cant buy a discreet service. So it would seem...
  12. That's definitely a possible outcome. Maybe if we're lucky the outrage machine will circle back to brady and his choice of headwear and he'll be sent to the CFL or something.
  13. That's what I'm saying. If the owners are smart they want him gone to avoid the scenario I outlined. (unless he has a bunch of dirt on them which wouldn't surprise me at all) No I'm not... You didn't read what I said. I'm asking the question of "do the other owners think that going easy on this leads to an open season on NFL owners." I am also sure they have a ton of skelatons which is the exact reason they don't want to come across weak on this because they don't want people looking.
  14. 6.5 Billion smackers buys a lot of high quality hookers and a lot of high quality discretion. He did the exact opposite. There are videos of him which would lead you to believe they were taken by the fine establishment in which case he was definitely going to get blackmailed, or else the fine establishment had in house LEO surveillance in which case it's just a ***** run criminal organization. Either way, there's a disconnect in this story somewhere or else he's really just a giant dumbass worth $6.5b.
  15. I don't think it's Rodger picking that fight... I think its' the other 31. Imagine this scenario (because all of the other owners probably are): League goes easy on Kraft. Public is outraged. Media see's public outrage and sees profit. Media invests time, resources, and energy into beating this dead horse. League suffers. Media further uses time, resources, and energy to go through all of the remaining owners and find every business deal, relationship, and mild indiscretion possible hoping to uncover that one gold strike that will bring this back around and will make it seem like all of the NFL owners are terrible people with no moral acumen (funny coming from the media). The McNair comments will be brought back up. Richardson will get dragged back into the spotlight even though he's not an owner (I'll take bets on how quickly before he gives an "expose" on the pervasive negative nature of NFL owners and how what he did was nothing compared to all the other things that he can't prove but were definitely happening.) and everything will be nuts. That's a very real scenario to me, and I can't imagine any of the other owners are happy with the idea of that much scrutiny, whether or not they're "clean" (we've seen that that doesn't matter these days.)
  16. No argument there. Just think he'll get overpaid for what he is.
  17. He’s always been meh, his numbers are inflated from playing in an offense from 1987 this past year.
  18. @Deranged Rhino okay- is that a parody account? I scrolled through and literally could not figure it out...
  19. The problem with legalization is that criminals aren't always criminals out of necessity- Especially those who run syndicates and rings such as this. Usually they are criminals because its the best and easiest (to them at least) way to make money. I don't think guys who beat women and chain them up and use them as sexual objects have a whole lot of desire to go legal. Harsher punishment to prevent recidivism and maybe to discourage (though that goes to the above point as well) is the way to go in my opinion. Another side is that if you remove what constraints there are from prostitution (namely the illegality of it) it will increase demand which will increase the need for supply and I think you actually would see a rise in subjection and trafficking.
  20. Non-football fans don't care too much about the breaking of random football rules. They care a whole lot about modern day slavery and sexual deviance.
  21. I mean, doesn't that create the question of what percentage of prostitutes are genuinely willing to do this trade as opposed to the number being forced or at least strongly coerced? (Plus the drug factor wherein a lot of them are hooked/manipulated for drug related payments) I do see the point you're trying to make, but the problem is that then you're regulating it and all that crap and at that point those pimps aren't going to invest the time, energy, and money into going legit. They're already taking that risk right now and making much more than they would if they had to pay their product.
