  1. I'd take him. The reality is that about 60% of the OL free agents on the street next week would be upgrades on our line. I am fine spending big on one or two and then getting a couple of deals like this guy. I think we can realistically build a starting 5 (including Teller and Dawkins) in FA and then spend the draft looking for skill players and rounding off our defense.
  2. An interesting dynamic of this is wondering how often this very thing happens where teams are one pen stroke away but something stops them short, and we just never hear about it... This is a big deal cause someone spoke out of turn.
  3. I love Samuel. I would love Samuel in the second and then someone like David Sills in the 5th just for the size.
  4. Honestly, no matter where you come down on this deal happening or not, you have to admit that a huge loss in this is that we can't pencil that @ Pit game in as a SNF game.
  5. I didn't doubt him to begin with. I trust him to make prudent, wise moves. This shows that he tried for a balls to the wall move and then had the good sense to back out when necessary. Catch me back next week when he trades for Julio Jones, then I'll be absolutely sure he's the best GM ever.
  6. Not sure where he is skill wise right now, but another quality/good guard on the market. I really like how the OL market is developing.
  7. I’m disappointed but not that bad. I had to convince myself I liked it to begin with, but then I really liked it. Also, ***** you Antonio Brown.
  8. The unfounded consensus on this thread is that we’re getting Brown for an 11 pick trade back. Those arguing against the trade are doing 1 of two things: 1- arguing against adding a HOF player in the late prime of his career without knowing the compensation. 2- (using the above stated assumption) arguing against adding a HOF player in the late prime of his career for the literal price of Cordy Glenn.
  9. I just really don’t buy the idea that Rappaport missed that badly... not saying it’s impossible, but I doubt these lesser guys first.
  10. Gotcha! I agree! By that measure, Deonte Thompson was also critical to breaking the drought... any given Sunday ain’t a joke.
  11. I’m not doubting the truth of this, but I am drawing a complete blank as to why..? What happened?
  12. Quinnen Williams, DT Alabama - Too hard to pass up. Noah Fant, TE Iowa - Best talent to help Josh Allen JJ Arcega-Whiteside, WR Stanford - I like his athletic ability outside Damien Harris, RB Alabama - Good value in the 4th- I like his downhill style Anthony Nelson, DE Iowa - A poor mans JJ Watt? Anthony Johnson, WR Buffalo - Big slot? Alex Bars, G Notre Dame - Depth Bryce Love, RB Stanford - Speed Kills. He and Harris would make a great 1-2 Mitch Hyatt, T Clemson - No clue who this is. Caleb Wilson, TE UCLA - Depth. I like what mine turned out to be.
  13. Congratulations Mike. Your GM saved 3m on a horrible ***** deal that he wrote last year and now he has a QB whose marginally better.
  14. Wonder what this does for the Rosen spec? Also, does this remove the Redskins as a trade down partner? I was really hoping we could drop to 15.
  15. Is it done? NFL reporting it as in process. Either way, this is particularly Dennis Alleny of Dennis Allen.
  16. Does anyone who understands the cap happen to know what it would look like for us to try and sign Paradis, Williams, and Saffold? Is that completely impossible? I am sure it wont happen, but I wonder how the money works out in such a case...
