With the 14th pick in the 2019 NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons select, Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi St. The Skins and @Wsam4031 are on the clock. Justification: I thought of Christian Wilkins here, but felt that Sweat was a better value. Our defense will be in much better shape next year if we can get our guys back from injury. Pass rush will help us get back up to speed.

Good pick but I get left with one question (not necessarily to you, but to those who predict Bosa to the 9ers.) Ford got traded (I thought at least) because he didn't fit the new 4-3. Bosa is prototypical 4-3 end. What defense does SF run, and how do these two things match up?

I think Williams makes more sense to the 9ers after trading for Ford.

Nobody really thought of Howie Roseman as one of the best Executives in the game until he held the Lombardi and we realized "damn, that guy survived riding back seat to a ######, and then quietly rebuilt everything and won a Superbowl." I feel it'll be a similar existence for Beane. He may be highly respected in the league, but until he holds that Lombardi (handed to him by Josh Allen in February 2021), I doubt people will be wiling to say "damn, this guy is a top 5 executive who returned the bills to relevance." Literally any gif from that movie gets a chuckle from me...

Ed Oliver or TJ Hockenson. I am fine with either of those, I think Oliver is a better value if they are both there. If neither is there, I would prefer a trade down.

I think Bodine played decently last year... The only reason to cut him would be to save money (no idea what that does cap wise) and if they think Long's position flexibility is better than his. He also could be a trade candidate during camp if someone loses a starting Center.

I don't disagree that Henrys run was good, but that Jaguars defense didn't try. He fought off a bunch of arm tackles from guys who put no body in the game.

Teller is an intriguing one because if he has a great camp he could start, but he could also be cut pretty easily now. My prediction is: Dawkins | Draft Pick Spain | Teller Morse | Bodine (I don't see a point in cutting him with the injury history of Morse) Long | Felliciano Nsekhe | Waddle Either way, we have competition across the entire line, and realistically, 4 out of five spots have been improved...
