That's honestly what stopped me from taking lock at that pick.I am not sold on the fact that raiders dont want to ride with him this year, and I wasn't free to trade him anyway. If I could have I might have. Plus, Burns was a great get right there- I especially like that I kept the same number of top 100 picks. I much prefer losing value in the top 100 as opposed to losing picks altogether.

The New York Giants have traded the 17th pick to the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders are now on the clock: With the 17th pick in the 2019 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders select, Brian Burns, DE, Florida St. @BuffaloHokie13 no intentional misdirection on my part, just couldn't bring myself to what we had discussed and instead saw the great value here. Thanks for making it happen! The Raiders needed an Edge Rusher, and while we didn't see Burns as worth the 4th overall pick, we consider him a great value at 17. We also believe that the premium we paid is more than worth ensuring that we get a top 10 talent at Pass Rusher.

Is Clark really worth much more than Dee Ford (2nd in 2020)? send them next years second and one of the 4s from this year. Draft: Oliver Harmon and Sternberger.

Not a shock if that were to happen. My biggest question is whether or not the Winston/Haskins comps i have seen are legit? And if so, why get the same thing again?

Williams was close to being the pick, it really was about the positional need. I really liked Mo Hurst last year and wanted him for the Bills.

lol. Fair enough. Well, they were similar players with similar names in the same draft. I just think that interior does not represent as big a need for us and that White is an equal value to Williams in that regard.

It must be nice to have all the answers. I made the choice that I made because it was a good value and because I didn't want Williams. I like Mo Hurst and Bj Hill, two guys that we drafted just last year. I also didn't feel that Sweat nor Burns were worth a top 5 pick as a player, but I felt that White was. More to the point, White gives me a stud in the middle of my Defense that helps all three layers of my D and I can find better value later in the draft to fill other needs.

Right, if they get swapped for a second rounder straight up. But if I am the Seahawks and I want to use Clark plus other pieces to move into the top ten (hypothetically) I have to have the value of Clark set in order to know where I am at with the 300+ point differential. Make sense?

Can we set the hypothetical value of those three players at 2-1, 2-16, or 2-32 (whatever people feel is best) that way there is a universal as far as points goes that way if bundled trades happen with the players, we have a point of reference? I know realistically speaking they probably differ, but for the sake of the exercise it might be good to say a flat number for all three.
