I mean, it really depends on your view of things... I think realistically he's an average rotational player, and a below average starter. For a 16th overall pick, you're looking for something much better than that, so "not good" actually works given the proper framing of what is and isn't good based on what he was supposed to be.

Grading the Draft Graders?....
whatdrought replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How dare you interpret my words to fit your narrative and accuse me of interpreting his words to fit mine!! Oh look, we’re in a circle. I asked how the two were different, you pointed it out, while acting like a schmuck. Congratulations. I still disagree with your assessment and his, but now I know that you take things way too seriously. -

TBN: Way-too-early 53-man roster projection

Between Neal, Johnson, and even Joseph, I am slightly hopeful that we don't need Bush as our big nickel anymore. -

Yuck. Please don't keep Dimarco at the expense of a 6th WR. Also, if DA retires, can we give him a job the same day as a coaching intern or something? I know that's unlikely, but it seems like a perfect solution.- 75 replies

Grading the Draft Graders?....

Predictable. I don't want favorable treatment... I want intellectual honesty... -
Obviously we all know that draft grades are useless... But I found a great example of the Anti-Buffalo bias while reading this article... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001029111/article/afc-east-draft-grades-patriots-ace-test-nice-haul-for-bills This is what an A looks like: And this is what an A- looks like: Please explain to me how one is an A- and one is an A... They're almost identical in their assessments and I think the argument could be made that not addressing the biggest need in the draft is probably not a great thing to do... You Mr. Parr get an F.

Bills/Jets Wk 17 New Era Field for Playoffs

Jets will be a New Jersey dumpster fire by mid October. Bills will be 11-5, split the pats, sweep the fish and the dumpster fires, and take the division. -
People worried about speed need to go watch CJ Spiller. Speed isn’t worth much without a knowledge of how to run. My biggest concern with him is that he plays with a big man style, but he’s little.

I think Sills has a legit chance to make the team and add something to the offense. He’s not a #1 receiver, and probably never will be. He might be lucky to be a #3. That being said, for this year alone, he fills a role as our big bodied receiver. If nothing else he creates some mismatches. -
This is actually The Process

It’s unlikely that Jackson ever develops into a starting QB, let alone a star. That being said, it’s incredible to see the Bills be run by professionals who never settle at a position, and take value where it presents itself. Best case scenario, in 3 years we have two great QB’s and trade one for pick. Worst case, we brought in a camp arm who will generate buzz locally and give our lower level offensive guys a chance to play with a QB who is similar to our starter in a lot of ways. -

I think Johnson will be a star and I would have loved him as a UDFA, that being said, I think Sills is a better fit for our needs. -
