  1. It’ll be a big what if hanging over the season. Two truths at play here: 1- He had plenty of chances to win the game and blew them one right after the other 2- he seems to have a knack for doing enough to win when the chips are down. I personally think we win if he doesn’t get knocked out, but I’m not gonna begrudge anyone the opinion that he was just as likely to make another critical mistake.
  2. The first interception is a perfectly normal thing. He took a risk, it didn’t work. If brown goes 60 for a score he’s a god around here. The issue is the consecutive mistakes and the other small things he did poorly. I think this can be explained away as nerves playing in what’s probably the biggest game of the year. Allen has at least 2 more truly horrific games in his bank before I’m ready to withdraw my support. He’s going to come back and blow up whoever he plays next. The kid is a baller and it didn’t go his way today, but he’ll be back. also- hot take: Allen pops up from that hit and gets a 3rd and 8 or whatever it was where Barkley went in, we win that game.
  3. How many of us does it take to vote to let you all go full USSR and shut down the drama queens?? You got my vote.
  4. Allen played dumb and scared (minus the time he probably should have been scared) all day which cost us big time. That being said, the offensive line can’t be let off the hook. They need to play better. Also, I’m not sure I love the offensive play calling... not sure if Allen was taking those shots on his own, or if the calls encouraged it, but the profecient Beasley attack was curiously missing.
  5. No issue with being done with Zay and I’d like to see Duke. Not sure they’ll do it though. Barkley starting may increase the chance as he and Duke had chemistry.
  6. I hope he doesn’t miss time, but this isn’t the worst time for it to happen. Barkley with a week to prepare gives us a good chance vs the Titians, and then the bye. I’d rather have Miami next week, but It’s not the end of the world. Just don’t love that it happened.
  7. Quarterbacks have grown through mistakes before. We’ve seen the good from Allen, and we’ve seen the real bad. He’s not supposed to be a finished product yet. If he becomes what he can, we’re a legit contender. That can even happen this year.
  8. Allen has been struggling, but he can show us he can be be the guy.
  9. If we get into half 13-3 we’ll have played well, all things considered. Allen needs composure at halftime.
  10. I think you can say Zay could have helped; but it was a bad throw
  11. Allen is rattled by the big game. He needs to get his head and take care of business. Need to keep running as well.
  12. Meh, I think they just need to focus on the game. Stuff like that isn’t important till after it’s over.
  13. Peperonni or Ham and Cheese? I miss hot pockets. I used to love them but I ate one before football practice in 90° heat... suffice to say the resaulting puke fest has ruined them for me.
  14. Two things: 1- While we usually enjoy talking with fans of other teams if they speak intelligently and are civil, you’re obviously a waste of time in that you were dropped on your head one too many times as a child. As your ban is surely forthcoming, have a great life, and enjoy being an mentally challenged person. 2- I don’t know if you realize what you just agreed to above, but yuck.
  15. I’m surprised you can say so much with Bill and Brady so completely wedged in your mouth.
  16. Not sure it changes that much. Edelman is a big factor, but no team is better at making do with what they have.
  17. Always defer. Halftime is the only built in momentum eraser in the game. Whether you have it or not, getting the ball to start the third allows you to impact it.
  18. Not sure his reasoning, but I personally expect it to go down as I expect them to slowly build the deep game into the offense more which has a natural lower %, but that’s not a bad thing really. Completion % really should be judged by looking at where they’re throwing to on the field. That’s one of the things when people pointed to his % last year- he had the most attempts over 20 yards or something along those lines (not sure if most, but very high on the list). Context matters.
  19. It feels like they’re slowly evolving the offense around him and building towards the big stuff. I imagine it would be easy for him to revert back to his hero ball ways and abandon the precision passing and ball movement they’ve featured. I expect It to open up sooner than later.
