  1. It's a tough situation for sure. I'm not sure how they could let him throw Fangio under the bus cause that would include admitting that he missed on picking a coach, again. The only way to stay is to sell the "this is part of the process" line, but that doesn't work cause they made it quite clear they intended to compete this year- 4 games in and they haven't. I think Elway will be retired, and if he's smart he'll take it quietly so as to not further tarnish his legacy. Great player, terrible management.
  2. I think someone will be trying to make Moore a HC this year. The young offensive genius is so in vogue right now and he's making Dak look like an all-pro (though I didn't see anything about how he looked last night). I bet the Redskins are a team that comes calling for him...
  3. As I said above, the biggest thing Fangio has going against him is that he's likely tied to Elways fate. I can't see Elway being there after the Flacco thing failed. Especially not with the early reports on Drew Lock.
  4. That would have been a great moment to shock the world and promote the OC and kick the HC to the curb. - Actually, this is something that might happen in Dallas this year...
  5. I don't see anyway around it really... If they continue to be bad, and if the defense continues to play poorly I'm not sure how Elway doesn't get forced out and then I'm sure the next guy would want a reset at HC. If Lock gets in and looks like a real QB, they might have a chance to stay. I think at least one of em is gone, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Fangio stay and Elway leave.
  6. Gruden is likely the first to go, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Dan Quinn get the boot too if they feel there's a way to salvage the season. Also, and I'm sure it won't be before season's end, but you have to wonder if Fangio is safe in Denver- especially since I think Elway will "retire" at the end of this season.
  7. Let's review. You're not saying there's a chance he doesn't play, you're not saying it would be prudent for him to rest to the bye, you're saying there's no chance he plays. That's a bad take because, as I said, it's ignorant. Until we know more it's ridiculous to think it's clear either way. Now you're also assuming that Singletary isn't playing (unless I missed some news somewhere) which is also ridiculous given the fact that he came close to playing this week. As for the assertion that it's a loss whether or not Allen plays, I suppose that is a difference of opinion. I think mine is closer to reality given the overall context of the first four weeks of the NFL season, but if you feel super confident that the best (or at least top 3) defense in the NFL that made Tom Brady look like Marcus Mariota, can't beat a team that got beat by Gardner Minshew, then you take that feeling to the bank and have fun with it. I think you're very misinformed and projecting your negativity onto reality.
  8. *NFL awards Micah Hyde to Patriots as compensation for Josh Allen's egregious hit on defenseless corner-back. *Scott Zolak ----- his pants in excitement and righteous justification*
  9. Lol. Also, that definitely means it's still enlarged.
  10. Your first take is a shot in the dark and ignorant. Your second take is just plain stupid. We don't really know what we're getting is the problem... This has got to be the hardest team to predict. We've won against bad teams but looked up and down in the process, and then we lost against what is supposed to be the worst team in the NFL and looked amazing and horrible at the same time. We've got a lot of questions left unanswered and we're still 3-4 weeks from knowing much of anything about how legit or not this team is going to be.
  11. Wallace needs to smack into him on that play, make it obvious. The fact that they didn't call it on review is BS.
  12. I think they come from the same place- not so much as stupid as being desperate to make something happen. He wanted that first down and got tunnel vision and didn't see the train. Hopefully he'll grow through that.
  13. I think we're in a good spot. We've just had an "oh - *****" moment that will define our season one way or the other... Either we'll shake it off, and we'll grow into the potential that we have which is a 10-12 win team who nobody will want to face in the playoffs, or else it'll be the shadow that keeps sneaking up on us throughout the rest of a disappointing season. We're in the drivers seat for a wildcard (we could actually win 2 of the 4 divisions if that's how it worked) and I think we showed that even at our worst, we'll take teams to the mat. I like our identity, I think we're going to get better and better and I think Singletary rushes for 150+ yards next week. I'm not really sure why anyone thought anything but 3-1 through the first quarter?...
  14. I don't think there's any dispute of whether it was "on Zay" - I think the conversation is that he didn't move back for the ball. You can almost see that he's surprised that the CB gets the ball which would indicate either he lost the ball (believable and excusable given how far off course it was) or he just wasn't tracking it properly. The DB made a great play on the ball, Jones didn't play the ball.
  15. Yep. He'll either grow from this, or he won't. Lots of work to do, but we know he can do things the right way. Just needs to build consistency and avoid having scrambled eggs for brains.
  16. I think "should have prevented" is a little strong. Should have tried to prevent is more accurate.
  17. At some point he will be finished. Someday. Can we have a parade then?
  18. John Brown and Cole Beasley do pretty well. I’m not gonna argue that QB play has been good, but there seems to be a disparity between him and the other WR’s on the field. I very much doubt you got banned for defending Zay.
  19. I’d probably have to see those first hand again to be sure, but that’s what some of the talking heads are mentioning and it passed the eye test when I saw it in game. I don’t know about the endzone throw. It may have been a great catch if he made it, but part of the flack with Zay is that he’s never made a great catch in key moments, even when given a chance to. As far as the deep shots, it seems like the DB also was running opposite the throw but tracked back, while Zay didn’t. Again, I’ll have to see the tape. either way, Zay has been disappointing and others have shown more with the few opportunities, which begs the question why he gets so many.
  20. You’re not wrong about people targeting someone with anger. That being said, Zay has had some issues throughout his career. to your comparison, possession receivers catch the football.
  21. Two of Allen’s three interceptions were thrown Zays way. While neither of them were his fault, he made no attempt to attack the ball or make a play on it. He watched as the DB broke for the ball. It’s just additional evidence of his inability to adjust for the ball/make a play on it. He also high pointed the endzone throw from Barkley, got two hands on it and it didn’t bring it in.
  22. Starting two threads in two minutes to discuss topics widely discussed in 10 other threads? Disgusting.
  23. He has 10 less interceptions in his first 16 games than Peyton Manning did. He’s a young player whose shown all the good stuff, he gets a lot more rope to hang himself.
