  1. That seems arbitrary as each situation is different, though it is interesting that players rarely play a week after a concussion. And the concussed half is working hard to concuss the non-concussed...
  2. I think the bigger question about Josh is why does he run like Mose Schrute?...
  3. If he comes back and gets concussed there's nothing to be done about that. It can happen now, it can happen in two weeks, it can happen in week 17. Part of the protocol is assessing whether or not the player is at a heightened risk for additional concussion issues- if he passes the protocol, that's them saying he isn't. As for the other points, look at my post above yours.
  4. You're blurring the lines between sitting him for his health, and benching him for performance. That's two different conversations really. - If he's out of the protocol, he's healthy and ready to go. It doesn't make sense to not play your best players when they are healthy. If he's healthy he plays. They also can't mess with the protocol. He's either cleared (thus healthy) or he isn't. There's no room to hold him out and say he's still got issues, unless he were to lie to the Neurologist, but i'm guessing there are a lot of issues with that idea. - If you want to argue he should be benched, that's another conversation. While the performance was terrible, I don't think benching him at this time is a good idea and would have an overall negative affect on him long term. Not that EJ Manuel was ever going to be a franchise QB, but the little chance he had left was shot out the window when he got benched.
  5. Do they have complimentary coffee and snacks there? I'm not going if there isn't creamer for the coffee- none of this half and half bs either. I want the real stuff.
  6. They can be 100% sure he's okay this week, that's how the concussion protocol works. More to that point, you play him because he's your franchise QB and you do everything you can to win every single game. The titans don't scare me, but if Allen is good to go and we don't play him and then we lose, the what if of that situation is the kind of thing that ruins a season.
  7. I thought that thread was to discuss whether or not we thought josh was a good QB?... Now I'm really confused.
  8. If you expect this thread to not get off the rails, you haven't been here long enough. Every single "news thread" on this board spirals to 8000 different sub points before the news actually breaks. Just use the other one and @YoloinOhio will update the title when something changes.
  9. Stop the run, rush four, ask Marcus to beat our secondary. I don't think he can.
  10. It's possible it was enough to rattle him and it took the intentional time of halftime to clear the cobwebs. Really impossible to say. My guess is 9 out of 10 players on a field at any time could be diagnosed with some level of concussion like symptoms.
  11. As for the theory, it wouldn't surprise me, and it would actually make some level of sense as it could be a factor in the decision making, or lack there-of, that was on display throughout the first half.
  12. Obviously I don’t want to look past this, but this feels like an definite win to me... we just made Tom Brady look like Marcus Mariota on a bad day. I expect our defense will stifle them. That being said, if this does go poorly for us, I think it’ll be Daboll getting too cute and playing around instead of just running the damn ball.
  13. $724 to get a little bit of liquid relief from being a dolphins fan? Sounds like a deal to me.
  14. Meh. I wouldn’t hate it for the right price, but he seems redundant to the skills we already have. That being said, he and Smoke might create the Havoc for Secondaries that I was hoping Bob and smoke would... Allen would just need to reclaim his deep ball abilities.
  15. I mean, a defenses ability to create confusion does contribute to overall QB play. So they did in a way.
  16. Not sure if it's already been discussed somewhere, but a huge bright spot for me was the DL. I was worried that losing Harry would cause issues with Depth, but the overall unit really seemed to get the job done consistently throughout the game. Very impressed by that.
  17. As next years backup after we trade Barkley for a first because he played so well against the titans but then josh came back and showed us that he's the guy... Yeah. Lets do that.
  18. Someone is going to get a really nice DC after this. I thought he'd probably just go back to Chicago, but it looks like Pagano will do enough to keep that job (so far at least).
