  1. Why the hell can't we have one nice thread without the schmucks ruining it?
  2. Yes. They are. If you believe that not trading a bunch of draft capital for a new shiny piece is not trying to win the Superbowl, then you have a serious misunderstanding of the NFL. How many mid-season trades have the Patriots made during the years they win the Superbowl? There are some posters here who would call you an idiot for speaking in absolutes and coming across like a whiny schmuck... I wouldn't, cause I don't use such offensive language. But there are some...
  3. What is stupid is saying that any NFL team is not trying to win the Superbowl (with the exception of the Dolphins maybe). What is stupid is judging an entire season on one game. What is stupid is assuming that any team can't beat any other team at any time. What is stupid is assuming that a team with a young QB whose shown flashes, an effective run game, and a defense with the potential to be dominant cant make a run in the playoffs. It happens all the time. What's stupid is your negative attitude because you're driving yourself on emotions and not on logic. What's stupid is the overreaction all over this board to one game.
  4. If by not well received, you mean there will be Luddites around here bemoaning that we're not doing anything and we want to lose, then yes. But if you mean not well received by people who understand football and know that you don't make a trade just because other teams are, then no.
  5. I’m mostly okay if we stay put. My wish list is Yannick and Mike Evans. I’m sure those aren’t realistic, so I’m fine to not do anything crazy.
  6. I wouldn't be shocked if there was a move, but I'm not expecting it. If there is one, it'll be last minute and it'll be a name that hasn't been mentioned much...
  7. I doubt they do trade him, and it’s hard to see it being a good deal if they do, but if they’re already thinking about getting a top QB this year they’re gonna need ammo to get em. Evans is their most leveragable piece. If you can get two firsts for him, which seems possible, it might be worth it.
  8. All that being said- if Evans is gonna get moved, Philly makes sense to me... they throw in Jeffery, a first, and some change and that’s maybe a win win.
  9. I’d give multiple non-essential organs to make this happen. I highly doubt Evans gets traded, but he does make sense for them To move... they have a lot of issues, They’re gonna need a QB and aren’t gonna be in great position for one, he’s on the wrong side of his prime for a rebuild, and Goodwin has turned into a real threat.
  10. Talking heads have been playing at this idea for about a month now with no real consideration of why we would do this... I assume this is just a saturation effect.
  11. We need public bannings in order to send a message... what's the binary equivalent of a guillotine?...
  12. Unfortunately, ours is too.... The real question here, is will whomever the Jets draft with that third round pick make the final 53? Or the PS for that matter.
  13. Lol. The Jets are a mess. Would you rather have L. Williams and Josh Allen, or Q. Williams and 3rd round pick.
  14. I'll have it primed and ready to go. Here's some helpful thread starters for you- feel free to borrow: "Im not saying we need to fire McD... But we need to fire McD." "I don't hate our coach, but if I was in a room with our coach and Hitler and had a gun with one bullet, the bills would be looking for a new coach." "Obviously there's a lot of season left, and things could change, and I still believe in McD. But we really need to start having the conversation about whether or not McD is the answer." "It doesn't matter that we won. We aren't going anywhere with this coach. Don't tell me about the record. It's time for change."
  15. Ah yes... The ones with the thin skins are definitely those who see your post for what it is...
  16. 2-1 since the bye with a loss to the team that won the Superbowl two years ago.. In fact, our only losses are against the most recent SB winners. You also don't know if they are a bad team. You don't know anything except what the record says.. which is 5-2. Yes. Emotional loss. Emotions are high after that loss.. Why is that confusing? Oh cool! More "what ifs" on top of your hypothetical. I have a couple too... What if Josh Allen doesn't throw those interceptions vs. NE. What if he doesn't get hurt. What if he doesn't fumble that football against the Eagles. What if Hyde doesn't take a bad angle on the Sanders run. What if we had drafted Tom Brady. What if we had traded for Bill Bellicheck. What if the earth was flat. What if we're actually in the matrix? I get where you're coming from, and you're entitled to whatever opinion you desire and I'm not faulting you that at all... That being said, you might want to find an umbrella cause your "not a chicken little" post is coming across a little "sky is probably falling".
  17. Well, yeah.. Cause you're asking a sensationalist question that is based on a huge hypothetical while the whole board is reeling from an emotional loss... Just because you dress it up, doesn't mean it's any less pointless.
  18. If you have to say it's not a chicken little thread, it's probably a chicken little thread...
