Super Bowl Thread: KC at Tampa Bay

They're becoming the Patriots fans of the 00's and the Cowboys fans of the 90's. Not real fans who jumped on the bandwagon and don't know ***** about the game. -

not that I disagree about Brown, but how is this any more true of him than say: Tyreek Hill Frank Clark Britt Reid (who will get a ring for the game) I’m sure there are other miscreants on the chiefs were I to dig. -

I have very limited interest in this game, that being said, I appreciate the irony that in a year were more people than ever have had to work from home, a team is playing the SB from their home.... -
What is it about Philly that makes it impossible to truly get a feel for how good their QB is?? I remember always having the same issue with McNab.

Very sad news. Around the NFL podcast is one that I listen to consistently because at its core it’s just friends who love football chatting about football. Chris has always had a soft spot for the Bills and took his shot about Allen turning it on this year back in August. Seemed like a good guy, from what I’ve seen. Cancer sucks.

Also, if the chiefs are on the cusp of winning tomorrow, the Eagles should announce the trade right at the end of the game. Snag some thunder from Andy. just to be philly level petty. Here’s my big question with regards to this: if the eagles flip Wentz, are they in the market at 6 for a QB? (If so, losing that last game looks a whole heck of a lot better now) and if they are - why keep Hurts? What trade value does he have? If they aren’t, are you happy riding with Hurts?... it’s an iffy situation.

There were a couple ugly interceptions, but by and large I didn’t think it was that big a deal this year. If you take out three obvious ones: Roberts drop against Ten, “interception” against rams, and when his arm got hit against the Steelers(?). Drop his number to 9, and it’s not a horrible number given how pass heavy we were.

My perspective (which is likely wrong) is that I’m way more confident in the Colts paying for Wentz than I am the Bears. Two reasons: 1- The bears have a QB’s whose up and down career isn’t all that unlike Wentz’.... his highs haven’t been as high, yet his lows aren’t even as low as Wentz was last year. Plus, they’re similar players. It feels like falling for the first blonde that comes your way after getting dumped by a blonde. Maybe try a redhead and see what happens? 2- meanwhile, while i’d still be somewhat worried about the Colts dumping serious capital for Wentz, i can give Reich the benefit of the doubt as he has a better view of the situation than anyone else. That being said - 2 first round picks for a QB with that much bad tape is hard to swallow, even if he has other good tape as well. Plus, there’s the massive injury concerns. 4 years as starter, finished 1 either due to injury or benching. Just hard to shake the “this could go horribly” feeling. and I’ve always liked Wentz. The QB market is just bonkers, tbh.

You know what I heard about Kordell Stewart...

Super cool article, I especially loved this: “We really did everything together. He was a carpenter and a house painter and a barber, so guess what I was? An assistant house painter, an assistant carpenter and a junior barber. He had a shop in our garage, and it was like $7 for a cut from my dad and $5 if you wanted to take a chance with Kordell.” sucks that people were so awful to him. Not sure about painting those telling him to be a WR in such a negative light - it was before my time, but looking at his stats, he didn’t seem to be a very good QB.... -

Tyreek Hill impressed by Justin Zimmer

Yep. AT first I was like "meh, it's unique" but now it just grosses me out. Pretty much for DL it needs to be: 71, 75, 78, 90-99 That's pretty much it and those 70 numbers take a special player to pull it off.
