  1. 2 second round picks between 5 positions isn't a huge investment. 7 OL's to decent contracts is also not crazy. What playmaker did you want us to sign, and how much money did we not have to spend on that?.. Cause we definitely had money left over after the "huge investment" you're referring to. When we have done it, it's worked. We just have ***** for brains deciding not to.
  2. I live north of Charlotte and if it's snowing there I'm pissed it isn't here.
  3. Not unless they feel someone in house, whose seen the whole situation and knows the players, can turn the offense around... I don’t see it as a good idea.
  4. Spoke too soon. ? the heck was that?... also, I bet the Rams are psyched they mortgaged their future for a CB... the value is there...
  5. What counts as a lot of capital? Paid for a center, picked up some second tier FA’s and drafted a second round tackle? Not a huge investment. more to the point, we don’t know how we run, cause we rarely do it.
  6. They're throwing too much. They have no balance on offense allowing the Defense to play hard against the pass and blitz heavy. The offensive line cannot adjust to free rushers (whether that's on Allen or the line is another ?). The route combinations are not creating seperation, and the personal packages have left me completely stymied throughout the year. The formations seem to all but verbally tell the defense what's coming their way, and the times we do have rhythm and successful play pairings, we completely abandon what's working and go to something else. Allan is, I think, playing very well for a second year QB whose a known work in progress. The Team as a whole is confusing in many ways.
  7. You're entitled to your opinion. A lot of rational, non-emotion driven posters (i.e. those who typically live in reality) disagree with you. There are others who are yelling ***** allen as they plunge to their deaths over Niagara Falls. We're probably both plenty wrong- he probably wasn't as okay as I think he was, and he probably wasn't as bad as you think he was. It is what it is.
  8. I'm not arguing anything from one pass, everyone else on this damn board is. That's the issue. go read context before stepping into a conversation. That being said, I disagree with your other takes. He played well, made good decisions in important spots and threw the ball well. We can agree to disagree. The deep ball is a problem, no question there.
  9. Explain why without trying to point to only one pass. I'm not absolving him of all blame, but the idiots here claiming he sucks because of this game, or that he was the main reason we lost, and then pointing to one missed pass are, in fact, idiots.
  10. I just don't know why our offensive strategy is so inconsistant and seemingly exactly the opposite of what it should be at any given time...
  11. You're so disingenuous. Go look at the context of the conversation and come back when you know what you're talking about. Someone used that low percentage pass as reason for why Allen is to blame for the loss, which is idiotic. It's a low percentage pass and it's not a game-defining play either way. If he makes it it's better, obviously, but every QB misses passes like that every game without being flamed for the loss as a whole.
  12. I didn't insult you, I insulted the people on this board with hot takes and no rational followthrough. You're definitely right about that, which is even more indicative of how false the "allen sucks" "allen is to blame" etc. narrative is. That one play cannot define Allen's game at all. Saying it does is illogical.
  13. This is an incredibly stupid post, not surprising. It's a low percentage pass because EVERYONE says they are. Passes that travel over 20 or 30 yards or whatever that was are by default, low percentage passes. I wasn't defending the miss, and he needs to hit those. That being said, that play isn't why we lost.
  14. I don't have to justify the take you think I am, because you completely misread the context. I asked how Allen was to blame for this loss, some poster quoted that specific throw. I said that if that one throw is why Allen is getting blamed by the luddites in this thread, then they're mentally handicapped.
  15. Good question... That last drive was a mess once it was past the 40 and it wasn't Joshes fault as far as I could see. If they had let him play he'd have either scored a TD, or gotten us closer.
  16. If a QB missing one low percentage pass is why he's being blamed for the loss, the fanbase doing the blaming has mental health issues... which makes sense given the context. This seems like a fine statement. He outplayed Baker from the 10 minute mark of the 3rd forward from what I saw.
  17. The half that I saw Allen was playing very well and had several plays where you could tell the route combinations were immediately known by the Defense, and the offensive line was completely beat on the jump...
  18. Does anyone have any rational examples of how this loss is in anyway the fault of Allen?...
  19. I think it's pretty clear that there was no aggressiveness... Once they got close to that "FG range" line, they went conservative with short passes to singletary and then taking that shot. Also, standing there and wasting play time on the huddle instead of being ready to go. The offense can move the ball, but Daboll outsmarts himself every time. It was obvious they weren't going to try and score.
  20. I watched about 40% of this game, what exactly am I missing in people blaming allne?
  21. As for everyone jumping off bridges cause we lost to an inferior team, take a look at the Chiefs and the Saints today. Who we are isn't defined by this loss.. unfortunately it's becoming quite clear that unless we stop getting in our own damn way, we're not gonna win when the chips are down.
