  1. Someone who had his private workout already set up and ready to go? Someone who allegedly had the offensive waiver in his possession since Wednesday and issued no complaint until this afternoon. Someone who makes 50 million $ being a former football player who fuels a victim mentality that has people crawling all over themselves to celebrate his success in a workout that he scheduled, he staffed, and he ran- i.e. a workout that he could have done anytime in the past 3 years. (As I think he has done similar things) Bottom line, someone who is disingenuous and used the NFL bowing to pressure from Jay-Z who in turn was bowing to pressure from CK’s crowd, as an opportunity to attempt to make the NFL look bad. In some ways I’m sure he’s succeeded, but my suspicion is that people who don’t have a political stake in this, who don’t care about his history and care instead about football, have seen this as another step in the “Colin gets his 15” and see it as an indicator that he isn’t serious about dedicating himself to his craft. Thats my take on it at least. As for CK, I was hoping he’d get a shot. He may still. I was anti-kneeling cause it was stupid and I find his views and motives ridiculous. I didn’t find kneeling during the national anthem disrespectful or horrific, and I found the way our Commander in Chief responded to it to be ridiculous. I did hate the argument that it was his first amendment right to kneel no matter what his employers said, because that’s idiotic and anyone whose had a job knows as much.... all that being said- I was hoping he’d get a shot cause either the NFL would get an exciting player, or the truth about CK’s inability as a QB would be revealed. Either way it’s a win for me as a football fan. Today however has, in my opinion, proven what I’ve always suspected... CK is more than happy being the most famous former football player. He’s happy with his fat sponsorships and his meta-narrative of oppression. The acts that have been presented today do not appear to be those of a man wanting to practice the professional act of football playing, but rather the professional act of acting.
  2. I saw 7 out of 25, but still in that 30% range. Ridiculous.
  3. Thats not a bad balance, but that doesn’t change that one side is lying about today. We’ll see who.
  4. Right, so the question is who is lying... the answer to that comes down to whether you think CK is a victim who was standing up for what he believes in, or if CK is a schmuck whose all about attention and self branding. From the unbiased standpoint, it’s hard to imagine a multi-billion dollar company with hundreds of in house lawyers lying in a prepared statement about something like that. Also, is it slightly suspicious that everything was perfectly set up at the other location? Crowd control/security, etc? Pretty quick for that seamless transition, I would think- but it could be nothing.
  5. Hes too too much of a distraction. I admit he’s better than Mason Rudolph and others... but he’s not good enough to get past the off field issues. According to the NFL release, it’s the same document that is used at the combine and all other workouts....
  6. It was, but not nearly as deep as the upcoming WR class is supposed to be. There were several blue chip players at the top of the class, and then your normal 2nd and 3rd round players in those rounds. If the WR group is what they say it is (a huge question mark for certain) there will be first round talents at WR going in later rounds. That’s what I’m saying. This also isn’t my opinion- Daniel Jeremiah tweeted something about how deep the class is and how it’s going to be harder to take a WR early when you know that you can come back and get one later without a huge drop off in talent level. It’s not my logic, it’s called supply and demand. Right now we have equal demands for an edge rusher, and a WR. Based on how Brown has performed vs how Jerry has performed, I think there’s even an argument that edge is a bigger need. That being said. If you have two needs and you can get a A+ edge in the first, and an A WR in the second, you’ve improved your team more than If you take a A+ WR in the first, and a B edge in the draft. This isn’t a difficult concept. it doesn’t matter anyways, as we all know our first pick will be a CB and our second pick will be a G who we draft to play tackle.
  7. You have to look at positional stength. If there’s 15 good receivers and only 5 good edge rushers, you gotta take the edge first. But it’s too early to say anything anyways. My preference is to sign an edge and then draft a WR.
  8. Theres so many good WR’s in this class, value Might be for an Edge in rd 1 and WR in two.
  9. But... We love premature frothing... If we can't do that, what's this all been about?...
  10. I literally only came to this thread to see if I was the first to think of this...
  11. There's definitely room to say that Rudolph is to blame as well... But the hit was late to begin with, taking him to the ground was unnecessary and pointless, and then even after he's getting pulled off of him, he's twisting his helmet off. Blame all around, but Garrett is the most egregious. I do feel bad for the NFL people who have to decide this *****...
  12. I think Rudolph was a Dbag, and I think he probably should get fined for his role, but I'm not sure he did anything suspension worthy- he aint an innocent victim though. Ogunjobi coming in and smacking someone without a helmet might deserve a suspension.
  13. I struggle with the Pouncey question... The refs weren't wanting to stop things from happening, and the lineman has to protect his QB... That being said, they can't let kicks go unpunished. DeCastro, whether or not he meant to, handled it better by just getting ontop of Garrett and ending the situation.
  14. Myles started the whole thing with his unnecessary roughness on the late hit. It escalated from there. Both sides were idiots. Garret was worse. what a night to go to bed early...
  15. I bet his pickup line in Cleveland bars is “I have my own magnifying glass.”
  16. Did you see his interception? His deep balls hang in the air, the receiver stops to get under it, and the CB comes into make a play on it. It’s happened like 5 times tonight.
  17. JNb I’m sure this lovely person isn’t compensating for anything...
  18. “Freddy Kitchens can’t believe it” exact reason freddy needs to be fired.
