He's been garbage lately- to the point where they couldn't give him away at the deadline. That being said, If McD brings him in I would be fine with it. McD can sign Betty White to play Big Nickel and I will assume it's a fantastic move.

I meant in regard to fan feelings and expectations. Whenever we feel good about a team, they implode or lose stupidly. But you're right... This is new territory for this generation (my generation) of bills fans. It's a great experience!

Honestly it comes down to this for me: We have put enough good football on tape from all three phases of our team throughout the season that tells me we can beat any team left on our schedule. Josh's game against the Dolphins + the Defenses game against the Patriots and we beat the Ravens. That being said, the exact opposite can be said as well, unfortunately. It's a crazy season and we've seen McD coached teams win games that they shouldn't (while losing games they shouldn't). All that to say, I don't think it's blind homerism to say we actually have a chance in these games. I'm almost at a point where I'd be disappointed if we do lose to Dallas as they really haven't done anything this year. But I am cautiously optimistic. I said after the Browns game that I saw it as a turning point, and I envisioned our Offense coming to life down the stretch. So far that was right, I'm excited to see if it continues.

This is more about the Denver game, but damn if it doesn't put a smile on my face... I wonder if Josh is saying that this is a touchdown, not because he heard or saw the actual play, but because he knew when he let that ball go that it was a TD...

Good post! The excitement level is building. This is, historically speaking, when they would lay an egg and twist a knife into all of our hearts... This team feels different to me. We'll see.

Another point regarding the Cowboys game- I saw somewhere (maybe Cover1) that was drawing a correlation between our Offensive success and the reduced plays, packages, and overall details of the offense... As in, not getting in our own way trying to be cute. That is something I've been asking for all season, and now it's seemingly working... That being said, a short week all but demands that kind of thing as we can't write in too much cuteness in the game plan. One thing I'd like us to revisit though is the TE sweep to Knox. might be good against the LB's of the Cowboys- keep em guessing.

I said 9ers, but I can't help but wonder if the Seahawks are the better choice... I trust Russ more than Jimmy. In the AFC, I don't think the Patriots are going to be able to ride Brady's arm (could be wishful thinking). Lamar is still an unknown to me and damn if I wasn't wrong about him- they might be the cream of the crop. I expect the Chiefs to surge, but I don't know how I feel about Andy Reid after December. Packers seem to have been exposed. Saints worry me as they're working hard to win what should be easy games. The NFC L-East is garbage (coming from someone who had Eagles pegged as a SB team in August) So I would say 49ers or Seahawks vs. Ravens or Chiefs.

How bout if they win the superbowl, you break into the stadium and tear them down then? that way it isn't an embarrassing clip if we lose a wildcard game...

Great post Virg. This was a great game through and through and it feels like we're peaking at just the right time. I said in the Game day thread that Allens interception didn't matter as it was either just a fluky/bad throw or a miscommunication. Bad throws over bad decisions all day. Allen looked great, team played great!
