  1. I was hoping the 49ers game would give us some inside info on how to beat the Ravens, but I think this weather is going to put a huge asterisk next to anything we see today.
  2. As important as the QB position is to success in the NFL, I think the narrative about how important QB's are to success it's still somehow overdone.
  3. It feels like we're playing with house money. We knew going into the stretch that we had to win at least one of the next four, and now we've beaten one of the harder ones on the schedule and we just need one out of 4 to punch our ticket.
  4. I prefer to play whoever comes out of the AFC South. I don’t expect Tennessee to give us trouble if our offense continues as it has, but they might sneakily be the best team in that division.
  5. I’m excited for Ravens v. 9ers. Little disappointed that the weather might lessen the scouting value for next week, but I’m still excited to see it.
  6. Also- I love this article because it offers pro-comps for the best WR’s in the class. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2864432-ranking-the-top-10-wide-receivers-of-potentially-historic-2020-nfl-draft-class Personall, I don’t watch a lot of tape so it’s hard for me to know how a player plays without descriptions - pro comps are fun because I can think “would I want a Deandre Hopkins type player, or Devante Adams.” Obviously they’re no guarentee to be that player, but I like the baseline of knowing skill-set and how they play.
  7. Theres a tonal difference in this thread that shows how much we’ve improved. I’m always looking forward to the next offseason because I love the business side of the NFL almost as much as the football side. The difference is, this year it’s a lot harder to find needs and it’s all about the happy perspective of seeing our team get even better! If you’re like me and just enjoy knowing who the names are going to be next spring, this is a decent source: https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2837159-matt-millers-top-10-nfl-draft-prospects-in-2020.amp.html
  8. I struggle with a first rounder on Defense on anything but DE. For one, the Clemson kid is long gone, and for two, as a rotational player I don’t see the value. My draft would be: 1- Aj Epeneza or Yetur Gross-Matos at DE 2- Michael Pittman Jr., Justin Jefferson, Brandon Aiyuk, Chase Claypool, or someone along those lines at WR. this is a great WR class- maybe best of the century. I’d be fine taking a end in round one, and then circling back for a WR. I also wouldn’t mind a WR in the first.
  9. Welp... I've got the right record at this point, some weird takes in between then and now. The description of the Redskins game is pretty spot on...
  10. February 3rd, 2020: NFL Power Rankings - Post SB LIV 10. Buffalo Bills Yes, the Bills won the Superbowl last night by defeating the Seattle Seahawks 77-0, and while that is quite an accomplishment, and no small feat, the question still remains: Who have the bills really beaten this year? They had a very easy schedule throughout the regular season, and even in the playoffs they didn't play anyone all that amazing during their three straight road wins. Josh Allen has really flourished as a dual threat QB, running the ball and making incredible plays, but as I've said since before the bills drafted him, I'm just not sure if the accuracy is there. His 104% completion percentage in the playoffs and Superbowl is just a reminder of what everyone knows- you can't fix accuracy. I expect this Bills team to continue to win next year, but I'm hesitant to move them higher in this power ranking. Maybe when they've played some elite NFL competition, or when they move to a city I can find on a map. There's always next year.
  11. Idiot. They’re gonna get their ass kicked this week and I don’t even care if it hurts our playoff standing.
  12. I too have noticed that they're working him the ball. I like it. I know people want to see Duke, but it's just really hard to not have the speed of Foster and McKenzie at our disposal. Honestly, whether or not he becomes anything more than a role player this year, the fact that he's putting positive plays on tape right now (the past two weeks have been huge) increase his value a ton because other teams are not quick to forget what he did last year. When he was MIA they didn't have to worry about him. Now, he's showing some things and reminding them what he can do. That makes him, if nothing else, a great decoy. Also, from what I've seen so far this year, he seems to be running a lot of crossers, which I don't remember from last year... I like that with his length and speed. Past two weeks he's averaging 2 touches for 18 yards a pop. That with the injury. I think they definitely see a roll for him.
  13. I think the problem with Seattle, and I could see it being a problem here too, is that they weren't ever ready to let people go before it was too late. There are sometimes you may not be able to pay every player. We may not be able to pay Hyde and Poyer. It'll suck to see one of them leave, but it's a business. Same with the LB's. If it's one or the other, who do you keep? There are ways it can be done, but it's not always fun. I agree that our window is wide open right now and we need to be SB contenders this year and every year for the next 3 or 4.
  14. The only blight that reveals is a lot of money in Edge and not a ton of production... That being said, we're doing fine right now. I expect one or both of Murphy and Jerry to be gone next year though, which will help these numbers more. As for the main idea behind the article- yes, the Rams are screwed and it's really self inflicted. I was super hesitant when everyone was worshiping their carte blanche mentality with team building, but that's really come back to bite them badly. We have the cap space, maybe we can flip them a 3rd for Donald and his big ass contract?? ?
  15. "he Can't beat us if we keep him in the pocket"..... Au contraire mon frère
  16. It would be even sweeter to blow out the Jets with our second stringers...
  17. I don't know why, but Seattle just feels like the team to me in the NFC. I don't trust Jimmy G., the Packers are weak in a lot of areas and Rodgers is great, but it's worth wondering if he can put them on his back and make it happen. The Saints, strangely enough considering I have thought they were SB bound for the past two years, just don't feel right to me. The darkhorse, I think, is the Vikings. Their run game could be a real asset in the playoffs- more so in the AFC where there will be outside games in January, but still.
  18. Playoffs as I see it: 1- Patriots 2- Ravens 3- Chiefs 4- Texans 5- Bills 6- Colts WC Round: #6 Colts @ #3 Chiefs - Chiefs win #5 Bills @ #4 Texans - Bills win Divisional Round: #5 Bills @ #1 Patriots - Bills win (Homer alert) #3 Chiefs @ #2 Ravens - Ravens win (this one could go either way) Title Game: #5 Bills @ #2 Ravens - Bills win (double dog homer alert) SB Bills v. Seahawks - Bills win 33-21 (passes out from homerism)
