  1. Don’t forget that we don’t look good on opening defensive drives. Let McD do his thing.
  2. Two birds with one stone. Gives us a compliment for Motor, and helps with our kicker problem...
  3. Right, and none of the context surrounding him gives any additional information to it. How quickly a team was to take an L on him. How the team that invested in him is already giving up on him. How reports of his work ethic and attitude were terrible followed him past college and into the pro’s. You are right. It is too early to say definitively that he is a bust, so I won’t say that. I will rest easy in my projection that he is going to be a bust and never be anything but a below average starter in this league. Just as I projected pre-draft. Also, blaming the team for his failure is ridiculous. Allen had it just as bad last year and showed improvement throughout the year (though very marginal) and gave the team something to believe in. Rosen showed enough to get his walking papers. That’s a pretty good outcome for us. Maybe a little better than I’d like. But It he’s there in 10 years playing average football and never scaring anyone and only being as good as the team around him, that’s pretty good from our perspective.
  4. Dude, come on. At some point youre gonna have to take the L with Rosen. Ryan Fitzpatrick has looked really good on a team that Rosen looked like ***** on. He can’t get on the field as a potential franchise QB, instead they’re riding with the 40 year old backup. You were as hard a “right Josher” as there was around here, but ya gotta let that horse Rest In Peace.
  5. They can't really have a guy lined up at this point either (unless he's from College) as i think there are restrictions to talking to coaches while the season is ongoing?
  6. Yeah, it's just difficult before you know whose coming in, or what scheme they're bringing... If they hire a guy who brings a 3-4 defense, they're paying a pretty chunk for an off ball linebacker in a 3-4. Especially when you consider they're already paying Kuechly. It's not a horrible move, and I definitely understand it, just always puzzling to me.
  7. 3 things- 1- Darn it. 2- I wanted him, but I didn't see it as very realistic as I think McD is pretty happy running with a two LB set and wasn't gonna pay a part time LB that amount. 3- It's strange to me that they did this... I don't understand teams in the middle of transition doing business like this.
  8. Watson is elusive, but I think Allen is more so. Hard to say for sure either way. I hope we're running enough that you guys wont be able to key off on the blitz. I have said several times that this feels like a good matchup (maybe that's me being too prideful of our chances) - but who do you think would be the best matchup for you guys across the whole NFL? The 49ers obviously were a good one, but they didn't really have an answer for Lamar (also kinda a bad sample with that weather)
  9. Great take man! Welcome to the board. Feel free to come by anytime you want- not just when we're matching up with the Flying Poes. We love having other fans for general discussion. A couple thoughts on your perfectly laid out analysis: - Edumunds has the speed, but his instincts can sometimes be less than great which is questionable in this game. I expect Milano to be a bigger deal for us (he's our WLB whose playing at an all-pro level, if you aren't familiar) in keeping Lamar contained. - If we can keep Lamar in the pocket, I trust our backend over your receiving core. Andrews is no pushover, but between our Saftey combo and Tre White whose a top 2 corner in the league, I think we can manage them. That being said, I don't know how we'll contain Lamar. - On offense, I am worried about the blitz, but for the past 3 weeks we've reinvented our offense which has increased Allens effectiveness against the blitz. The up-tempo, no huddle, adjustments at the line, type that we're doing lately has really helped. Hopefully it will continue. Allen is also very dangerous to blitz. Not as much as Lamar, but still. He's good for some damn good scrambles and "how did he get out of that" plays a game, and he can hit windows that don't exist because of his arm strength. We'll see if he can put it together. - I would kill for Justin Tucker. - I have been wondering, did Cleveland do anything special to shut down your offense? Or was it juts finding it's rhythm at the time? Why did that game go so poorly for you guys? - Lastly, and I've said this up thread to some other Ravens fans - While I hope for, and expect (Homerism alive and well) a Bills victory, this is a game I can be somewhat okay losing as long as you guys take care of business and get the #1 seed from NE. If we play hard, do a good job containing Lamar, keep it close and lose a game between two great teams, I'll be mostly alright. As long as we don't get blown out. Good luck tomorrow, and ***** the Pats! Right? We got off to a bumpy start with Ravens fans with that one #######, but we've had some purely pleasant dudes show up! Love to see it.
  10. I hate these graphics cause they never link to the full list... Where is Allen on this? Not that i disagree, but Williams was in Cleveland at that time. Darnold is a mechanically sound QB. I.E. - A scouts wet dream. The problem is, that mechanics without killer instinct, football IQ, and overall ability to get the job done, are pretty worthless. Darnold didn't show that consistently at USC, and he isn't now. Good thing nothing horrible has happened to ruin their reputation among agents and players.... hmm
  11. Also, I refuse to let the "Front office ruined Rosen" narrative exist. Rosen is a bust because he lacked work ethic and had a me first personality. The same damn reason many of us around here wanted nothing to do with him, and the same reason he got put on the "everything must go" yard sale page within a year of being drafted.
  12. I hope Darnold is a slow bust who takes years of that franchises time only to end up being a scrub.
  13. They didn’t put any coverage specialists on, did they?
  14. I have a sneaky feeling we’re one of the better matchups in the NFL for Jackson... not sure if it’ll translate to a win, but we seem well outfitted to slow him down.
  15. Just came to post this... We're getting some pop. Hope we don't lay a fat egg.
  16. Jack Conklin is going to be a FA... I don't know how he's played lately, (based on how bad the TEN line is, probably not good) but his rookie year he made all-pro, if I'm not mistaken.
  17. um, more like "are the bills the best team North of Baltimore?"
  18. It's an interesting point... The Patriots Defense is starting to look somewhat overrated, and their strength is their secondary, but they have a slow front-7 - especially LB's. The 49ers have a good Dline, but aside from Warner, their back half is not as impressive. The Rams have a good front line and little at LB. The Seahawks aren't anything to write home about. We might be one of their bigger tests.
  19. what ***** team can the eagles lose to this week to compensate?
