Josh makes hard throws, misses easy ones

And there’s no reason to doubt that he’ll continue progressing. -
Hoping you’ll have company in the recycle bin? Cause we’ve all moved on from you.

Josh Allen - week SIXTEEN report card
whatdrought replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree. He missed two “big throws” to Knox. Both of which Kurt Warner (he’s in the HOF, in case you didn’t know) commented on them being difficult throws. Now, that’s not to say he shouldn’t make tough throws, but every single QB misses tough throws. I think in in spite of that, josh played well in the face of poor defensive play, inconsistent playcalling, and an offensive line that rarely gave him time when it mattered most. -
Our best defense has come down the stretch when we’ve trusted our coverage guys to do their job, and sent blitz. We didn’t do that today. We got scared of Brady, and scared of of the run. We looked soft. It was an unusual experience. If our defense from any game other than Philly shows up, we win this game.

I’ve been slow to judge him, but I’m ready to say we can’t trust him going forward at RT. If he rounds into it later, great. Right now we need an upgrade.

Lol. You doubt the guy that has shown 200% improvement in his entire game from year one, to year two, and has continued developing throughout year two, won’t improve? Your thread title is accurate. Your post is garbage.- 88 replies

Yep. And we were getting no push. So change it up. Also, those criticizing that pass to Knox, definitely a pass we want back. That being said: - don’t run a qb draw on first down when our lines been getting no run push. - don’t leave your tackle on the edge when he can’t block speed to save his ass. - don’t forget to identify/anticipate the blitz on 4th and long. The Knox pass could have tied the game and would have been a great play. One Allen wants back. That being said, it ain’t nearly the reason we didn’t score on that drive.

Allen left some on the field, but that happens against the best team in the league. The agreement that has always existed with this team is that offense will make enough plays, and the defense will make stops when needed. whether or not that’s how we should be playing- that’s our identity. The offense did its work, the defense allowed the patriots to bully them all game. Tough loss. Allen is gonna be the guy for a long time, we’re a year ahead of schedule, and we will be Super Bowl contenders this year and for a long time.

I think I’ll be able To watch it on the NFL mobile app. I have Verizon service. -
Are the Patriots cheating on Special Teams?
whatdrought replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It could just be dominance, but it is intriguing cause special teams don’t leave a ton of room for variance... hard to say. -
Bills better be scouting “hands catchers” at WR
whatdrought replied to whorlnut's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CeeDee Lamb will be gone before our pick, and I abhor the idea of trading up for a WR in this draft, but he’s a guy I would love. Dustin Hopkinsesque with his hands. -
If we lose and then the Phins win though.... granted, the sample is skewed as the pats wouldn’t have anything to play for. My goal in NFL football, aside from the bills winning, has always been the pats losing. If these two things can happen together, it’ll be a Christmas to remember. I’m confident that this team won’t lose to a lesser team when the chips are down.

He threw three against the Patriots, 1 against the Broncos on what looked like a miscommunication, and one against the Steelers that was at least partially the fault of the receiver. He didn't throw any against the Ravens, though he fumbled but that was really not at all his fault due to a horrendous blocking scheme and block. He actually played quite well against the Steelers, all things considered. It was intentionally a very conservative game plan and he did the job that he needed to do when it counted the most.
