McDermott: Josh Allen 'tried to do too much' in loss
whatdrought replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like this is the media trying to frame it in a way that makes it look like Mcd is blaming Allen. Also, with regards to the blown lateral, obviously a terrible play and judgement, but if Knox catches it and rumbles for 20 yards it’s remembered very differently. The difference between magic and mayhem is one blade of grass in the nfl. -
Devin Singletary/ Best Bills player on the field today

Bring in someone who runs a little harder, but can also work in the passing game and we’ll be good to go! The fact that Singletary didn’t touch the ball in overtime is criminal. -
So now what team are you rooting for?

I’m mostly happy with anyone now that the pats are done. i want the Texans to lose, cause screw them. Specifically Desaun Watson and JJ Watt (actually too or my favorite players in the nfl but the wounds are fresh) I want the ravens to lose cause of that d-bag radio hack in bmore, and cause the Lamar hype is ridiculous. - but I do like the way they run the ball. So gimme the chiefs or titans in the afc- I like the titans with the exception of Vrabel, but I wouldn’t hate to see Reid excercise his ghosts (god knows that’s the only excercising he’d Be doing) In the nfc I couldn’t care less. I like the saints cause of Brees, the Niners are a great story, I’ve always liked Wilson, my grandparents lived in wisconsin while I was growing up and I ended up liking the tradition and history of the packers as a result, my good buddy is an Eagles fan, and for a while (pre-Cousins) I was considering the Vikings to be my 2nd team. All that to say, I probably don’t have a favorite in the NFC, but If i did it’d be the 9ers. -
Been a long season. Take some time @Virgil, and we’ll catch up around mock draft time. I too am feeling a bit of a break coming up. At least I can watch the playoffs now that the pats are gone.

Im a lot more familiar with rooting against the patriots in January, then I am in rooting for the Bills. So as much as the loss hurts, this is nice.

A nice end to the day, but damn if I wouldn’t have liked to be moving on as the pats go cry.

Romo just can’t seem to clear his throat and get Brady outta there....

A patriots loss will go a small step to helping ease the burn of today.

I would love Derrick Henry, but I doubt he hits free agency. that being said, what a first half... On his birthday no less!

Daboll Brutal Down the Stretch

How about some math... Take the number of runs that Singletary got in overtime, multiply it by the number of times Josh Allen bailed the offense out on 3rd down in overtime, and you are left with the IQ points this post reflects. I'll fill in the values for you. 0x2 = 0 Both things can be right. Allen played poorly. Allens line played horribly, and Daboll made no adjustments. Whose to blame? Everyone. Who did their job on the OT drive? Allen. Who didn't? Daboll and the Line. -

Yep. The sweep was a good call, terrible execution. They complete lack of running or getting the ball in Singletary's hand was criminal. -

He was. But in overtime, the playcalling was 100% terrible and even after Josh kept bailing it out, there was no attempt to run or do anything close to short plays. Garbage. -

Definitely think he worked his way out of a HCing job... Wouldn't be heartbroken if he left. The playcalling in overtime was insane. Why did we not run? -
Playoff #1 Bills @ Texans PostGame Thread

We didn't deserve to win starting with the Watson TD. That being said, the Refs added two ***** moments in OT to make sure we didn't. -

good season, lot to build on. But top to bottom, there needs to be some serious soul searching in the next 9 months. McDermott needs to decide if he wants to be the coach of a good team, that chokes when the chips are down, or if he wants to be the coach of a great team that breaks other teams noses and then stands over them daring them to try and get back up. Daboll needs to decide if he wants to be cute or successful. Allen needs to decide if he wants to play smart and loose, or if he wants to play wild and stupid. This is a gut wreancher. Showed some good stuff, and some *****, horrible stuff. Time to move on.
