Jacob Hollister/TE - FA Option
whatdrought replied to BillsDiehard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a TE that wears a number in the 40's...Yuck. Kidding, mostly. I don't think they will let him walk. They'll likely put a third round tender on him. -

Crazy. RIP. Not a Basketball guy myself, but this is by far the biggest “celebrity” that I ever remember passing away... -
XFL Cutting down on the kicking game.
whatdrought replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do people hate kicking so much? All these new rules that the NFL came up with (pr stunts, every one) are what ruined kicking in the nfl. Go back to how it should be! -
Um. No. People are right about him. He's a good athlete who can play well in a one read, open offense set up by an insanely good running game and great protection from the offensive line (assisted in Defenses unwillingness to actually rush him for fear of being beat). But when forced to pass, or playing from behind, he struggles throwing the football. He is inaccurate anywhere but across the middle, and even there he can struggle often times. It's okay to say he's one of the best athletes in the NFL (maybe ever) and had an insane, MVP season, but that he isn't a very good passer.

Prospect Watch: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU

He reminds me of Singletary... not a bad thing, but seems duplicative. -
2020 top 50 prospects #1 - Daniel Jeremiah

shoot, I’d be fine with 3 If one of em has ST upside. We have a bunch of late round picks and we’re an overall decently talented team- drafted guys are no lock to make this team. (Which is really nice.) -

So. Many. Wide. Receivers. We picked a good year to be needy. -
How does TSW feel about Andy Reid?
whatdrought replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he needs a ring to be a HOFer. Not that that alone defines it, but if he never gets the ring I think the door is left open to the debate about his inability to win when all the chips are down. Especially if he never gets a ring with what looks like an all time talent at QB. -
Eli Manning: Will He Get Into Canton?
whatdrought replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s funny cause the antithesis argument will he used against Rivers- never won a Super Bowl, paper tiger, all stats. Eli is the only guy to punch the greatest dynasty ever in the mouth, and then come back and do it again. I don’t know how much that’s worth, but Terrell Davis is in the hall of fame widely as a result of a two year run in the most RB friendly system maybe ever... so it’s hard to say that Eli hanging to L’s on the ***** isn’t worthy. -

Would be blown dead nowadays. In the grasp. Patriots ball. You didn’t warm to a guy who took down the patriots twice in the super bowl?... come on! -
I want two WR’s this year. 1/2 round, and 4/5. 3 wouldn’t bother me either with a 6/7 (I’d be surprised if we don’t end up with a 7th rounder) thrown in for good measure.
-
I haven’t seen either of those guys rated above 4th round... are they coming up that much, or am I Ill informed? The WR talent in this class makes me very very happy.
-
Especially not in a class that’s very deep at that position. The worst part about the Sammy deal was, not only did we get someone who wasn’t worth the trade and the pick, but there’s like 10 stud recievers from that class that we could have had straight up.
-
He still likely has a good grasp of institutional scouting ideas and preferences, which is helpful in making random predictions this far out. He also doesn’t take Mocks too seriously, from what I gather. That being said, he’s one of the best voices on draft stuff out there.

This is interesting- I hadn’t realized that. I thought any upward movement was unblockable. I do agree that it probably doesn’t go over well to block someone from a promotion If they want it. I guess pegs could shell out some cheddar to keep him happy and in Buffalo, but that doesn’t make a ton or sense unless they plan for him to replace Frazier in the near future.
