I’d rather drop back and get him in the second. maybe 30 for a pick between 35-45 and get an extra third or fourth, depending. Also of note regarding Oklahoma, I just fell in love with their Edge rusher Ronnie Perkins. He’s a compact power rusher who is a dog and hits qb’s hard!

Breaking: Daryl Williams signs 3 year extension

Is the drop off for where we give Beane our firstborn sons at the stadium, or is that at his personal house or something? -
Cam About To Re-Sign With New England

Sounds like it’s highly incentive based. still, too much for slow and running QB whose arm is shot. -

3 things: 1- Comparing getting rid of guys who are now out of the league with getting rid of an All-Pro tackle and a former first overall pick who is decent is just pointless. 2- Mahomes’ new contract hasn’t kicked in yet. 3- I didn’t actually make the joke to slam the for this - the edited title is mostly a joke - but just to point out what they did. I actually think both moves make sense. Schwartz has a career threatening injury and Fischer isn’t worth the price tag. That being said, they will suffer for this- it isn’t easy replacing tackles, as we all know.

im not sure if it is in McD’s defense. I would have preferred Williams at a good price vs. Milano at a good price, just cause of how important keeping josh safe is. That being said, this is a good price for Milano, and the 7-9m per that is an actual good price for Williams will likely be much lower than he gets.

Looks like John Brown was released

sucks, but the reality is that the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze. They probably think they can get younger and cheaper and not miss him that much. hard business, but we’ve seen too many teams drop off cause they can’t make hard choices when the bill is due. -
They could do a injury settlement type of situation, maybe? I don’t know how that would work... You wouldn’t even have to fake the injury, you can just put him on the PUP or the NFI and essentially say he isn’t fit enough to play- which is likely if he wants out.

I like his first four picks. Not sure I like Lawson that much.

The Compensatory Pick System Is BROKEN.
whatdrought replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's not at all what the comp pick system is for... If anything, it does help garbage teams by encouraging good teams, with good players to allow those players to leave, thus giving bad teams the chance to sign them. The reason it always looks broken is the idea among decision makers that a player from a good team is a good player. People have been overpaying Patriot cast offs for years only to have them go back to the pats for pennies on the dollar after they flame out because teams overpaid them and didn't know how to use them. -
But we were getting vet min. Production from him. Pay cut only works if he goes way down.

It was a 6 million hit before, right? Gotta hope it’s at least in the 2-3 range now. Don’t love keeping him at Jefferson’s expense.

I’m not sold on any of the FA pass rushers. also, give me Kalif Raymond over Stills. He’d give us return capabilities as well. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Brown brought back If there isn’t a market for him.
