  1. yeah. I get that, and that could definitely be the issue. But I think there’s more to it and I’m always hesitant when the cap is used as a reason for otherwise illogical personnel moves. Not that it doesn’t happen, but teams usually have a lot of options to get out of SC hell without selling talent for pennies on the dollar.
  2. I don’t hate the idea, but there’s a lot of red flags. - why is a team wanting to give up its best weapon? - what differentiates him from other diva receivers we’ve seen moved lately? (Moves that at the time seemed like no-brainers for the buyers, but turned out to be huge wins for the sellers) - is he going to want more money? If so, how much? - is it better to trade commodities and pay him as opposed to getting someone in this loaded draft class?
  3. Yep. I don't really know... I thought we played mostly Zone and rarely man, but I am not one known for scheme expertise.
  4. Hall mentioned as much in his write up, but still listed him on the list of 10.
  5. He was more or less their only Linebacker, so the fact that they cut him is relatively telling- even if it was a money move.
  6. I don't know that he fits what McD wants in a LB.
  7. Found this NFL.com article interesting. They've been having some of their player analysts put together lists of the top 10 players at any position who will be on the market (be it draft, free agency, etc) this offseason. Cool to see Levi listed here: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001102237/article/ten-cornerbacks-worth-pursuing-in-free-agency2020-nfl-draft I wonder how much of a compliment this is when you factor in the author calling him one of the best man Corners on the list... Am I missing something here? For what it's worth, here is James Jones' take on the same idea only aimed at WR's: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001102058/article/ten-wide-receivers-worth-pursuing-in-free-agency2020-nfl-draft Interestingly enough, he has Antonio Gandy-Golden listed as the 3rd best WR in the draft. (or at least it would seem that way) which is a truly unique take on the situation.
  8. And there is a plethora of idiots and mentally challenged people lining up to follow this narrative because they're ignorant sheep.
  9. Obviously don't want to honor uncle toms, and any black man who isn't progressive is an uncle tom who hates blacks... Haven't you been paying attention?...
  10. Part of that could just be the closing of ranks- Defensive players on one side, offensive players on the other. Also, I think a fair argument could exist that Garrett's initial take down of Rudolph was unnecessary given the context of the situation and the overly forceful way in which he did it. Which adds another layer to it... The best part of this whole debate is that, whatever side you stand on, the Browns come out looking like a pile of *****.
  11. I think he’s worth more to a team that doesn’t have to pay a top corner in the coming years. I could see them getting a second for him, I just don’t understand the decision to trade an all-pro, pro bowl player. My guess is it’s a scheme thing and Patricia cant dare to have guys who aren’t “his guys”
  12. 3 guys I like: Bryce Hall, CB - Virginia Bradlee Anae, DE - Utah Denzel Mimms, WR - Baylor
  13. This is interesting... I believe that DE (Chassion) that some have linked us to this draft season wears 18.
  14. Maybe DC and 26 were two personalities of the same person?.. Tom Murdered the 26 persona a year or so ago, couldn't live with himself, and committed suicide.
  15. Is this departure more or less mysterious than when 26 vanished?
  16. Behold, a perfect Mock Draft. My only issue with this is that I took Throckmorton with my second fifth, assuming Justin Strnad would be there in the 6th. I would switch that if I could.
  17. Their insistence on getting rid of him has never made sense to me...
  18. I have two things to say: 1- the exact opposite happened with the pats last year, costing them a bye week. 2- it’s a lot easier to get off to a good start when your team is actually good.
  19. I would pay the same amount to hook them up to a different set of electrodes... ones that were more for sending than receiving.
  20. I would tend to disagree because “I thought I heard it” goes out the window when there’s no verification and he’s double downed on it. Legally speaking I’m not sure what the line truly is, but that line “more likely than not” is telling. You can’t be slanderous and then say “well I think he said that.” yeah. It seems damning that he has no verification within his own locker room. As for Tomlin, I think the fact that he’s black is quite telling when he comes out and makes the specific push to release that statement.
  21. Yeah, not sure how they expect that to happen... It's a pretty black or white situation at this point. Either Rudolph said the racist thing, or Garrett is a liar. Neither of them will truly be "made whole" without something definitive- though that's probably unlikely. I think if Garrett hadn't doubled down there's a chance it's all in the past and done, but claiming it again seems more likely to bring about further action.
  22. This article does a good job breaking down the situation, I think: https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/02/15/mason-rudolph-myles-garrett-possible-lawsuit-steelers-browns While it's true that Rudolph has to prove the defamation, he need only do so through a preponderance of evidence. From the Article: As exists right now, (at least in the public record) there is more evidence that suggests Rudolph did not say it, vs evidence that says he did. It is not an open and shut case, but short of any additional revelations, it would be hard, I think, for Garrett to prove that it happened - specifically since he waited multiple days to make it public.
  23. You may be right about the legal action, but If Rudolph’s lawyers were to pursue it, it would be Garret who would have to prove the positive- not Rudolph proving the negative.
