The media at large is pissed that FA didn’t get postponed... I don’t know if that sentiment is coming from league people, or if the media is just upset that they are having to work. It’s weird. I would be happy with Freeman or Howard on a cheap deal to serve as our vet/rotational back.

I wanted him, but understand him going somewhere where the money and playing time was a better fit for him. We just don’t need a 3rd linebacker that’s going to play more than 50% of snaps.

No reason that you can’t do both. Howard adds a Veteran to the group which is nice to have.

Yep. Wife and I went and stocked up on food and basic household stuff. Didn’t bother with the water. If it affects our every day it will be cause we can’t leave the house, not cause there’s no water and electricity.

That makes sense, but the problem is that he looks slow on game tape. And that's a concern. Big, lumbering WR's that can't create seperation and are good not great route runners don't go places in the NFL.

I struggle to see it as a "good time" for him when there are other guys with his physical makeup running faster. I don't know really what to think for sure though.

Jimmy Graham did it one year, appealing to be a WR... I think he lost. Judon would theoretically have a better leg to stand on. Won't matter when he get's traded/signed long term. I am now officially done with the trade and tag. I think there should be penalties for teams that use the tag without signing players to long term deals.

That is a phenomenal point that I hadn't thought of... The NFL can have the corner on the market, and with minimal changes to how things are traditionally done, they can do so without needlessly endangering anyone. $$. I also don't think it gets bumped because teams will just not want to wait... As much as the middle of June is hell for us, there isn't a ton of Margin in the NFL offseason and there's a lot of moving parts.

You're describing the internet... Everything on the internet is annoying, so don't get on the internet.... The problem is that I, like most, enjoy some level of annoyance as long as I have an outlet to whine about it. ?

I say no simply because Mike Florio is a mega douche and has been annoying AF about this. Also, cause I'll die of boredom.

So I don’t think we disagree after all- I may have misunderstood your initial post, my bad! ? I think there’s a real argument for saying Shaq + Robert Quinn (hypothetically) does more for us than one of those big names. I wouldn’t complain if we did get one of those other guys though. I’d also rather keep Shaq no matter what, and move on from Murphy.

It is, and it’s a widely held opinion among literally everyone that follows the sport- that in of itself doesn’t make it true, of course, but it’s hard to argue your side when all the evidence and analysis is saying the other. Don’t misinterpret me though, I’m not saying it’s right or wrong to pay those guys over Shaq, just that they’re better players- hence their increased value.

Your overall argument has some merit- is it worth paying those guys instead of Shaq? Any attempt on your part to say that Shaq is as good a player as those two is just wrong and makes you look foolish.

I kinda like the idea. I don’t mind watching; but the fanfare involved has gotten over the top.
