Yeah, It's likely just optimism on my part. I just feel that we can hang with anyone in the league. Doesn't mean we will, but I'm not looking at the schedule and conceding losses this year, which is refreshing.

I honestly don’t see a reason we can’t go 3-1 or 4-0 in that stretch. We match up pretty well with those West teams. The beginning of the BOB farewell tour. Fitting.

If they do NFC v AFC in weeks 1-4, and it is done with 2 home and 2 away back to back, which makes sense, we would likely be on the road to start as they won’t want to wait till week 3 to debut the Rams new stadium (especially since the rams will get the first game, not the chargers)

The idea, so they say, is that by scheduling NFC v. AFC games to start the year if COVID forces a change, those games are the easiest to be rid of without implications on the playoffs. One thing I will say, if you rank our hardest opponents I’d say the 4 in the west are all pretty high on the list.. that first run will prove a great test!

If by a couple years ago, you mean last year, and the year before. Yes. I didn’t believe him, but I feel he should be castrated.

Ranking the AFC East secondaries: Pats still # 1?
whatdrought replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Glad to see he didn't get swept into the offseason victory and crown the Dolphins ahead of us. People are quick to point out how we benefitted from an easy schedule, without acknowledging that the patriots did as well, and where their schedule diverged, they got blown out. As for how he lists our secondary, I think Wallace will be CB2, and Neal will be the flex. -
Talk of no alcohol at NFL games this season.

Idiotic. Reasoning is to decrease trips to bathrooms?... people are just gonna drink more of whatever else is available. -
No international games is a smart move by the league. I’m sure Khan hates it as it slows his move to London, but it’s a good step to show they are taking the situation seriously.

Do we have an official release date yet?

The premise of the article makes sense, but the reality is that Beane and co will pay those guys what they’re worth, and not more.

Jersey Numbers for the new guys
whatdrought replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CeeDee Lamb took 88 for the cowboys. Wonder if a Renaissance is coming for 80 WR. Kinda makes sense. The teens were about players wanting to forge their own way, but now teen wr are everywhere. -

Glad to see I’m not the only one ( @Logic, @Rico) who thinks WR’s in the 80’s should come back. I like some of the teens, but there needs to be a balance. Numbers matter, but eventually they become commonplace. I wanted Allen in #9, and Edmunds in a 50’s #, but I got over it. -

Yeah, but he’ll be cut by seasons start. -

Also, 96 may not be available, but it will be. I’m not too worried about it as we all remember seeing Motor in that ugly ass #40 during the preseason last year before he switched to the very crisp looking #26. -

I guess that makes sense, but it’s stupid. It could all work out perfectly: Jefferson: 90 Addison: 97 Butler: 96 Epenesa: 94 And yes, I obsess about numbers. -

Concur. I was excited for him in 94. Hope this is temporary. -

Is Peko still technically on the roster at this point? Feels like 94 for Epenesa makes more sense unless it’s been promised to one of the other signees? Does Fromm taking 10 mean Beas is going back to 11? And what’s keeping Davis from having 13? -
What AJ Espensa peers say about facing him...
whatdrought replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just expect him to blow up and be a force. Maybe not a double digit guy, but someone who forces teams to double and look at extra hard in game planning. He and Ed are such a great young combo. If Harry comes back healthy, next year we can snag a more pure speed guy and our DL will be set for years! -
Healthy Skepticism for This Year's Draft Class...
whatdrought replied to glazeduck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn’t read this in-depthly, but one thing I’ll mention regarding Moss and minimum athletic standards is that that’s the same argument that was made about Singletary last year and we’ve seen how that’s worked out. I think too much is put on traits where there are some guys who are just dogs that make ***** happen on the field. Epenesa, Moss, and Hodgins all look like that too me. It’s an encouraging draft in that regard because this FO has been widely about traits and athletic monsters in the past, so seeing them being diverse is encouraging as I don’t think it’s an either or game. -
Opinions on a hypothetical trade
whatdrought replied to offsides#76FredSmerlas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe if they throw in a second. But even then, I don’t see a need. Diggs and Brown are a sexy compliment to me because the both are 3 level threats whose speed has to be accounted for. You can’t play single high against them on the outside. We wanted that to happen with Foster and Brown on the outside, but Foster laid an egg. We know we’re getting it with Brown and Diggs. -

I took Cushenburry in the second for Denver, they took him in the third.
