Not Feeling Law School Right Now, Advice?
Charlie68 replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dont judge it by 1st year - you will have more options in yr 2. Law degree is a good thing to have unless you absolutly hate it. What are you interested in is the question. You dont have to want to practice, but at least be interest in a related field (business/tax/finance, even social fields) and load up on related classes in yr 2 & 3. If you see nothing tangent that interests you, then its a problem) I'm not practicing but it was worthwhile for me (in tax field) sounds like its not law school but it may be the school you are attending that you are not happy with. you could stick out yr 2, and if still want a change do yr 3 at a different school as a visiting student. -

anyone know when the green bay game will be on the nfl network, or any other national broadcast?
-
Agreed - enough of the simon talk - bills dont need a big contract a DT - Id rather they resigned NAte and stayed w/ ANerson/Edwards
-
how about Reed straight up for iggles 3rd rnd pick? forget simon - why drop a huge contact & salary cap on a DT when bills will need to look at moulds, Nate & LT next year (unless the bills can sign Simon for lower $, then I take it all back)

lindell did not miss any of his kicks

I heard Mel Kiper & John Clayton on ESPN radio today roughly paraphasing, Mel said: "I saw the Green Bay scrimmage. JP Losman looked real "iffy" out there. The Bills have other pieces in place - good D, 3 WRs, RB, but QB is weak link. JP will make some good throws, but will several bad throws in a row. you cant have a bad quarter in a game & win consistently in the NFL Clayton then agreed, stating Bills have other pieces in place, with Defense and Skill positions on O, but there are real questions at QB Did anyone else hear this? My quote is not exact since it was several hours ago, but he did say his play was "iffy" and the tone was that he was a weakness. First I thought Kiper loved JP based on his draft comments. Second, JP mostly looked good for a first scrimmage (6 completions and 4 fist down throws on 2 drives) There were a couple of bad throws and no TD passes. If I had not seen the game and was listening to Kiper today, I would have thought JP stunk it up.

Lawrence Smith injured - they will look at - no comment from MM until back in buff

Would you trade Moulds for Corey Simon?
Charlie68 replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no -
Agreed - compared to the last couple Browns scrimmages, which looked sloppy and practice-like, this year they do look sharp at this stage - I bet palying to a sold out crowd in a real stadium helps vs. a Saturday morning scrimmage on a practice field
-
Overall, JP looks good for first outing, although better in beginning than later on On 11 attempts so far, 6 completions - all of which were good reads and good throws Incompletions: 1 possible overthrow but pass interference so hard to tell 1 overthrow in end zone, when he could have possibly run in 2 bad underthows 1 bad throw on out - almost pic that would have beed taken back all the way if not dropped and a scramble when he could have passed to Reed (if he saw him) Overall I liked what I saw - cant wait for first preseason game
-
Nate Punt return for 10-12 yrds
-
Bills D Huge hit by Mcgee on run play - stopped for couple yrds Rogers in at QB for Pack - incomplete Bills sack - looked like LB blitz Now another sack by Bills - Pack looking sloppy Another sack - 3 in a row?
-
Bills 2nd drive JP pass to right (TE?) for first down Willis 1 yrd run to left JP over middle to Josh reed fo 15 yrds (first down) Play action to willis with incomplete to J Reed (underthrow) 2nd down - willis bounces outside - stiff arms and knocks over D player for 5 yrds 3rd & 5 - incomplete underthrow on out route so far JP is 5 for 8, 4 first downs Bills given new first down JP scramble for good yrds to right 3 yrds (JP could have thrown to open Reed) next play JP vitual sack - Packers came right up middle, RB missed block (# 30something) JP nice pass completion to Aiken in tight covereage - got it in, but short of first down Bills punt - Greer downs ball on 1 yrd line!
-
JP looks comfortable - first pass on 3rd down - nice route by moulds on a come back and a first down JP next pass - good pass to Parrish on 3rd down coming across for a first down next pass on 2nd down - naked rollout to left and hits TE cambell (probly outlet) for short yards last pass incomplete - evens on a seam - would have been pass interference in a real game Willils looks pretty good - no big runs but a few solid 4-5 yrd runs and also a 1 yrd stuff at the line Bills D looking better than Packers D - Farve getting some completions - but 1 tipped ball by the line and Nate had his hans on one for almost pic Mcgee looked good on opening kickoff going past midfield and running out of bouds worst play so far - first bills punt, the packers ran it back about 40 yards and ran out of bounds Overall for first outing - JP looks comfortable 3-4 wtih 2 first downs. Run O looks OK but Willis looks solid. D looks solid

So is Star Wars III appropriate for a 5 year old?
Charlie68 replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess it is safe to assume you don't have a 5-yr old yourself. The original post should has asked "if you've seen the movie and you have young children, is it appropriate for a 5 year old?" -

Charlie68 replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No I have a 5 yr old who has seen all the others - No way would am not bring him to this in the theater - too dark - too intense for age 5 when the DVD comes out, we might skip through selected scenes, but I'll likely wait until he is older. there is really no reason for him tho see it now. -

(OT) Review: Episode III Revenge of the Sith
Charlie68 replied to ajzepp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
when did Palpatine hint about Anikins's birth - what did he say? I dont remember that line in the movie. I went to the movie with my father yesterday, since my father & I saw the original opening week together 28 yrs ago!
