The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
RochesterRob replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Your history is somewhat faulty. Stalin and Mao each were thought to have killed more people than Hitler and the fact that information was throttled coming out of those nations only creates doubts as to lesser numbers killed. Further, Stalin and Mao had focuses for blame to energize the general population. Freedom of the press simply did not exist under Stalin and Mao. I would ask how Trump built a huge propaganda machine when much of media is very hostile towards Trump? Dictators have absolute control over 100 percent of the media in their nations which is definitely not the case with Trump. -

Why is AOC and the other so called champions of the environment not pushing this? After all, they not encumbered by the disease of greed that you charge other politicians with. Free of frailties that the rest of us are burdened with they should readily see and know all then pass along accordingly -
I'm a little foggy on my railroad history but I think you are correct and in particular for the time Lionel was a big part of the toy/hobby business I should have said Erie Lackawanna. I've seen Penn Central but that was not a proud time in the history of US Railroads but remember the real thing on the actual lines until everything came to an end in 1976.

Pics?

It's what they do in mother Russia. Wait until Tibs insists on personal surveillance in every home.

Any Erie Railroad stuff? I always wanted to have some ER stuff. Thankfully, I am not all that old yet so there is still time to get some of that done. I just need to build a place to house it all.

Will the Stadium Stay in Orchard Park? Hear me out
RochesterRob replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The land where Del Lago sits in the Finger Lakes was all purchased by a shell company to keep the acquisition cost low. I would imagine that is now standard operating procedure with big money people. I guess they get tired of being treated as fools wearing bend me over signs if they do it undisguised. It would not surprise me that the Pegula's are buying land around the stadium on the QT. That or somebody is speculating that at some point the Pegula's will be buying and is poised to meet the demand. -
If so what do you collect and what do you consider your favorite? My cousins do farm toys and I find quite a bit of that appealing. I never did much as an adult but I was very fond of Lionel trains growing up and had a small set. A good friend does 1/32 scale 60's and 70's muscle cars. I regret that space limitation always prevented me from doing much of any collecting. Somewhere around here I have a second edition AMT USS Enterprise with the drooping nacelles (quite common from what I am told).

Abusive language. The crutch of the simple minded.

I hope that you have some new material for the upcoming New Year. Get checked for Parkinson's Disease while you are at it as one of the symptoms is being delusional.

Pictures such as this are a reflection of a person's inner desires. No doubt that you want your bare fat thighs in Putin's lap.

Don't worry. If Josh has a poor outing in the next few weeks it will be back soon. This board will be in the fetal position if we close out the season 1-3 in our final four games.

How about the players and coaches roll up their sleeves and get to work on the preparation to beat Baltimore? I don't want any looking ahead by this team. Take care of their business then see how it shakes out. NE losing last night sure was a nice cap to the weekend I'll admit.

Still plenty of time to catch the red eye to Syracuse to undermine Babors. -

FOX Sports coverage such as their pregame show is nothing but a clown show aimed at 12 year old wannabe hipsters in my mind. I could craft better pregame and postgame coverage and could draw a sizable audience to boot. -

Last I knew LP was not as efficient in terms of cost and that is how businesses ultimately make decisions. An area propane supplier used to have LP delivery trucks but even they ditched those trucks in favor of diesel. I am not aware of any work being done towards modernizing LP combustion engine technology so I doubt anything has changed on that front. -

Your Putin puppet string is showing. Regulating domestic energy out of business without practical alternatives only increases the power of the Middle Eastern ruling class and Putin. Nobody here is saying that we should not look at alternatives but they realize that those are long term objectives. Despite all your nonsense I will wish you a good Thanksgiving as well as the rest of the board here (of course). -

Well, he does not believe in you either. -
100 years ago a Democrat Woodrow Wilson was President. What was the matter with them back then that there was so much poverty amongst the elderly? Retirements couldn't have something to do with post WWII prosperity with labor markets tight enough to force companies to offer pensions as enticements for people to work for them? Why do the elderly need to work today if the Democrats did such a fantastic job? The wife and I were just talking about this last night as a matter of fact. The Democrats did not do such a great job that pensions were not raided by management of quite a number of US companies forcing many employees to work in their golden years.
