The guy peaked in terms of desired demographic around 1975. Had to go out of my way quite a bit to hear him and just could not listen to him. I am not a Stern guy either. Rochester, NY had Alan Levin aka Brother Wease who had a huge audience back in the 1980's and 1990's and I was pretty meh about him. Some of the guests were interesting such as a rising comedian who was playing a local club but the debauchery I could have lived without.

The Impeachment Trial of President Donald J. Trump
RochesterRob replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The founding fathers including Ben Franklin were said to be dismayed by the societies that existed in London and Paris of the day. -
Can you imagine if this board existed back in 1985? Heads would explode far more than they do today. Incredible mental gymnastics in terms of Bruce Smith being worthy of his draft status but sorely not performing up to it. We should have taken Ray Childress and I said so before the draft. Should Hank Bullough (God rest his soul) be fired at halftime or why bother since nobody is coming here to replace him. Ralph is out of touch and should sell the team. This team will not make the SB in my lifetime. A little over 20K attendance at Rich Stadium versus the Oiler's - This team is moving during the offseason. You get the point. The ability to go off of the deep end has not changed much since the advent of the internet. Only the location has changed from the neighborhood bar to the den.

He definitely did not get a new brain for Christmas.

That statement is total nonsense and makes me believe that you are still hungover from Christmas.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency

That scene has been cut any time I have watched it in the last two decades which greatly predates Trump's entry into and winning the 2016 campaign. -

Far more complex than the statement you made. Some sociologists theorize opioid use is a result of greatly declining economic opportunity leaving many potential users with too much time on their hands. -

Interesting that you feel people in the blue states smoke less tobacco than people in red states. I think that for the most part it is more a generational phenomenom as people from older generations smoked more on average regardless of political affiliation at least based on observation. I don't know any smokers among my homogenous group of conservative leaning friends and associates. I would theorize that in a number of states such as the ones in the Midwest the migration of young people once completing college contributes to the perception of blue states having fewer smokers. This would be primarily because job opportunities would be greater typically in blue states. -

I would ask you to describe your lifestyle. We all come up lacking in some measure in terms of our impact on the environment. Is your residence sufficiently insulated to minimize the use of energy for heating and cooling? Energy is used in food production so I would ask how much food goes into the garbage for reasons other than spoilage? Our impact of the environment goes past efficient energy use to include proper disposal of waste. Do you throw items out of the window of your car instead of placing them into a trash container. Going past that to make sure certain things do not enter the ecosystem does your vehicle leak oil and/or antifreeze that winds up in the water table? Again, I would reiterate that all people come up lacking in one or more measures in terms of protecting the environment so don't feel singled out. But at the same time maybe step down from the pedestal. A soap box works just fine and can serve other uses when you are done with it. -

30 year wait now due to the current team and staff. Go a couple 5-11 seasons and that will all change. While it definitely does not make things right I would imagine that most of the people there put 2 plus 2 together in that you were out of towners coming in what would be poor tourist weather a couple days ahead of a match up with the Bills. -
A stress free game to end the season. Hoping to find a way maybe to be at the game. Rest Gore, Lorax, and other key vets. Josh and a fair number of other offensive players get a couple series to play then backups the rest of the way. Don't like losing to the Jets but it would be OK to screwup their draft plans.

Agreed. The first couple of lectures while taking a college level statistics course addressed this. Right down to designing graphs that have "steep" curves to create drama in the reader's mind. -

What I would like to see : Bills beat down Pats in defensive show for the ages 17-3. What I am afraid will happen : Bills lose and Josh Allen's season ends on questionable hit. -

Your statement tells me that LSD is trying to make a comeback. I can't begin to fathom the logic where Putin is better than the Democrats in an ideal state. The Democrats simply need to jump back in time so they represent working class men and women as opposed to university communist utopia types like they did a few generations ago. -

I think that the Dolphins players know that they are playing for a job and realize opportunities can dry up sooner than expected. The Pats are the current hated team in the division so there is the motivation of them being bumped down to a wild card. I think that the Dolphins chances are better than 1 out of 4.
