That's just one aspect of what is going on. Listening to a radio report yesterday that 90 percent of restaurant owners nationally are facing or will face losses within the next couple of months which will close their businesses. Consider that a very substantial number of Americans have no direct or indirect investment in the stock market. That their retirement will come from the sale of their business or other assets. A disruption such as a pandemic will take years to sort itself out and formulate a strategy to deal with it.

Seeing as I was just an average college student it would have been a waste of time for the Ruskies to diddle around with me. I could tell she was somewhat a lost soul when we dated and don't know just when she became a commie. Last I knew she had her own small business so she could not have been very devoted to communism. The problem with a lot of college students is they may be very talented at the field they are pursuing but very dumb when it comes to most other things. I remember a girl in my dorm reading a map and she thought Long Island was just below Elmira, NY. She never stopped to think the map was folded over versus being fully unfolded.

I'd say that she was an outlier. The card carrying female commies that I knew about lacked in the looks department back then. Also, as said before I did not at the time know that she was a commie or if she had done the life evaluation to that point to know she was going down that path. I went out with her a couple of times and those were good dates.

I did not know it at the time and perhaps she was still "in the closet" but I dated a commie while in college and she was hot. Probably the hottest date I ever had in college. I did not know about her being a commie until a couple years ago when I did an online search to see what had become of her. Anyways, so much for the notion that all commie chicks have to look fugly.

When I say limited lockdown I am talking about isolating the most vulnerable in society such as the elderly. Especially the elderly that have health issues to start with. Not what we did in NYS which was to isolate everybody.

I agree with the general sentiment but a limited lockdown may be necessary depending on what happens now that we are heading back towards cold weather and staying inside more.

From what I understand once you get into the mountains there you can get a little too close to the wild life unintentionally. Bears, rattlesnakes, etc.. Some people are not bothered by such things but can you get used to using a stick several feet long to poke ahead to see what is waiting in the tall grass while walking?

Don't you think that you are not fully addressing why those indicators are where they are at presently? Governors (mostly Democrats) imposed their own Draconian measures to deal with COVID 19 with little regard to common sense. Did NY's Southern Tier need the same protocol as NYC?

Actually, I am fairly relaxed. I'm more upset about an opportunity lost over the weekend where I could have made a couple thousand dollars on a quick buy.
