  1. We most likely do not have 6-8 million to spend there w/o some unplanned changes.
  2. Odds are he probably will not be available the first part of the season due to suspension. The team's offseason money is shot and we have pretty well cut to the bone in terms of vet salaries so there are extremely few cut options. We knew the team needed to do something in terms of addressing WR so it becomes a priority in the draft. The chances of giving away the farm for a move up most likely took a hit.
  3. All he would have to do is follow this board for the past few weeks. His "information" has shown up here as fans fantasizing opnely on this board. Not really hard it just takes a willingness to deceive.
  4. Even a blind squirrel on occasion finds a nut.
  5. I don't think that the Bills would release this to appease people.
  6. A good draft for DT, ILB, Interior OL, and outside the first round in RB. The few WR out there could be had late first round or there about.
  7. Yeah, but the teams in question to my knowledge did not give up multiple high round picks for them. Makes a huge difference in my mind.
  8. Did they deliver a title to the team that drafted them? Again, I would point out that under the current CBA there is no way to keep a player 10-15 years if he is of the mindset he wants to leave. Unfortunately, the Bills have seen a fair amount of that in their existence.
  9. 2015 was Rex part 1 so that had more of a bearing than our player talent pool. We hopefully have our coach so let's not Seneca-Niagara him into the unemployment line.
  10. Yeah, and how often does anybody hit on that? Might as well drop a buck on lotto and at least work the dollar menu at McDonald's. Be money ahead.
  11. If Mayfield is there at 12 you take him and I am a guy who is strongly pushing for MLB for our top choice.
  12. That's the problem. It does not matter who the Bills get at 2 if it were to happen as a number of heads will explode here based on the choice. It's unavoidable. I guarantee that there will "I quit this team" threads within hours of us making our selection if we choose at 2.
  13. So he has refined his "process." Just like the guy who claims he was abducted by a UFO. Nobody listens the first time so he embellishes the story with probing.
  14. Everybody has a Madden mentality and last I knew Keenum does not have a no trade clause. Give the rookie a year to sit then ask Keenum where he would like his next stop to be.
  15. You know for a fair amount of posters here that they are "self-servicing" themselves over the possibility.
  16. Not for a guy who may have to sit for the better part of two years. Maybe we sign him before his final year in his rookie contract or the whole thing becomes a headache complete with franchise tagging and so forth. Guys here can talk about holding a guy here for 10-15 years but by the modern CBA if a player is exit minded he is leaving well before that time.
  17. Denver's 5th overall and second round pick are of high quality so don't think that they have to match somebody such as the Bills pick for pick. We can guess that they like Keenum but only Elway and Co know for sure. I would not assume that the Bills have the Giants by the tail.
  18. The pressure game works for either side potentially.
  19. Yep, a rumor that pretty much matches a fantasy quite a few here have. I would not say that it is utterly impossible but will wait for the presser from OBD before I put much stock into it.
  20. I don't know about that. Denver has the 5th overall, a second, and a first next year in a draft where everybody says the QB quality is inferior. Yes, it is a little more of a stretch for them but if these prospects are as good as some here maintain then they would also be interested in somebody that could help them for many years to come.
  21. I agree. There is no need to negotiate through the media or any other third party. All is doomed when you turn to a mob of people for direction.
  22. Of course they should be fired according to the move up crowd here and they will be brandishing the torches and pitchforks under new accounts complete with I told them this was going to fail or the tea leaves said it was going to fail.
  23. Don't count on that happening twice.
  24. No, you put the proper disclaimer in but to numerous others this applies but it would be tedious to re-list my opinion versus putting at the head of the story. Next time I will make sure I don't throw a quote in if a similar situation arises. My intent was to question Inc Bob's accuracy when it comes to speculation.
