Players don't approach free agency like fans do. If a player likes what he sees in the Bills he is not going to worry about weather and blue collar atmosphere most of the time. After all it's not like he is looking to move here permanently. At least not initially. Best part of 2019 is we have all our picks and have just as much chance to pull 3 starters out of it as the elite teams do. The glass is half full with the defense pretty much in place.

The Answer is Sitting in Tampa Bay
RochesterRob replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Practical in that it is a bone thrown to the defense to keep up their high level of play. Fitzpatrick would not have to put the team on his shoulders with this defense and that might cut down on some of his turnovers. I don't love Fitz as an option but I don't want the team to quit and go through another coaching/GM cycle. -

I did not read all the responses and while I would not love this it might be one of the more practical moves to be made at this point. One problem I do see is that his cap number may be too high to do this w/o the Bills making some sacrifice they presently cannot afford. -
Bills Defense is Overrated. They Choked.

This guy is a Pats troll. 01778 is a zip code for a town just outside of Boston. 01778 is near Natick, MA. Maybe a disgruntled Flutie lover. Ignore him in any event. -
Mahomes had a year to sit and learn. In Buffalo he would not have had Andy Reid to tutor him and might have been thrust into action after one of Tyrod's 150 yard performances last year. It's like asking if a guy who went to Harvard and had contacts to build a multi-million dollar fortune if he would have done the same going to community college and working at Walmart.

I bet that his real name is Tom. Or maybe Bill. His zip code starts something like 01XXX. Pronounces words such as car "cah." Worries about Nor'easters a lot during the winter. -
7 trade targets for the Bills
RochesterRob replied to RyanTalbotBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thomas would be alright but I don't think that Denver and Buffalo will come together on a price if interested. I really would not want to give more than a 5th for him but that is probably not enough. Maybe a 5th and a conditional pick. -
I see Mexico City as problematic in terms of a NFL franchise. A NFL team would be fertile ground for criminal activity with kidnapping/ ransoming clearly at the top of the list. Any player regardless of background would not want to take his family there. Yeah, his neighbors most likely will be fine but he can't control what is going on much outside the better parts of Mexico City. One bad headline will create a lot of problems for the NFL.

I see some people wringing their hands over cap space but the Bills will have plenty of cap space next year w/o moving McCoy. As some have stated the market for positions that are of prime need for the Bills will be shallow in offerings so the money will stretch and most likely have some carryover to 2020.

It would be nice if "otherwise occupied" meant prison for Hillary but I think that fire has just about died out. -
Never underestimate the NFL's appetite for expansion money. The Chargers or Raiders could have just as easily been relocation candidates to Toronto just a couple years ago as they were in line for new stadiums where they plan to be in the near future. Moving the Jags would take the pressure off of the Florida market as I never thought that Florida could support three teams. So better London than Toronto.

The name of the game is number of households tuned to a NFL game for ad revenue and the 4 county area of extreme WNY just will not get it done for the NFL today. The Jets might be a distant 2nd in NYC to the Giants but the two teams are broadcast on different networks and at different times when possible. The Jets are under no pressure to move because they still bring in millions of households in the tri-state area for each broadcast. The population is just too large to fail there.

People don't like to hear this but Toronto is our market and I hope as the Pegula's become more prominent in the NFL that they assert this to the other owners. Don't take my statement as any desire to move the team there. Keep the Bills in Erie County. I think that setting a franchise in Toronto is detrimental to the long term health of the Bills in WNY.

I was waiting for a congressional seat down state to have Clinton rumored to be interested in running for until we got past the primaries this year. -

A high profile office is necessary in my mind for Chelsea to be taken seriously by most Dems as a POTUS nominee. The problem is her reputation is that she is dumb as a box of rocks and lacks the Clinton cunning so I have issues that she could beat a somewhat proficient opponent. -

Interesting and probable scenario. Been a lot of whack job noise about working Chelsea Clinton in somehow but I don't think that the Democrats would swallow that when it comes to the primaries and caucuses. -

I think that everything that Hillary has done that last year and change was with 2020 in mind. The media will accommodate her by letting her sit in a chair and her public appearances will mirror the precaution and security methods used by tyrants such as Hitler and Stalin. If Hillary gets elected the media will provide a physical shield between her and the public. No Youtube of her going limp this time less the provider of such footage wants to incur some serious wrath If she runs again be scared. It will mean that all the bugs have been worked out of her campaign operations. She's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I think she learns from mistakes when she has motivation to do so. -

If Hillary runs that will tell me that the deck of cards is as stacked as it was in 2016. Probably hoping now that Sears is slipping under the water that will provide the additional voter base for victory. -

Paying the players' income taxes would still count against the salary cap would it not? If this flies then you will see a whole bunch of new stadiums in Delaware.
